Are there any Doctors in Columbus, OH that Prescribe Naltrexone for the Sinclair Method? ## Check the site cthreefoundation. Large support there including doctors who have prescribed in many locations in the US. Cthree is a huge proponent of The Sinclair Method (TSM). He has proven over many years of studies using Naltrexone and continuing to drink, slowly diminishes the pathway of the learned behavior of alcohol abuse. ## Sinclairmethod.org has providers in Ohio and in other states as well. The medication works.

What is trexone used for please? ## Did you mean Naltrexone? It is used to help treat opiate addiction, or prevent the abuse of opiates, while someone is under treatment, because it neutralizes them, so they don't have their usual effects on the body. Any one have experience using Lo Dose Naltrexone for arthritis, fibromyalga, or chronic pain ? ## I used LDN for Crohn's Disease and it was very effective in reducing abdominal pain. I used Neurontin, a synthetic analog of GABA, for nerve pain and it helped. You can buy GABA from a health food store. I hope this helps. ## Does LDN help with rheumatoid arthritis victims? ## GABA and Neurontin are not the same as far as effects. Neurontin (Gabapentin) is a Schedule IV or V prescription drug. IMO, OTC GABA is crap. ## Yes. It helps my pain, on a pain scale 1-10 the 5 mg daily decreased my pain level from an 8 to a 2.??

Hello, could you please advise if it's appropriate to use Evion or Urcosol to treat a fatty liver? I have been diagnosed with this condition and I also consume whiskey on the weekends. Thank you. ## Non-alcoholic fatty liver can be reversed with lifestyle changes. Make sure your Lipid profile, blood sugar and bp is under control... Rigorous exercise (5 days in a week), lot of fruits and vegetables can definitely reverse the disease... There is no medication for the treatment of fatty liver disease... Ursodox 300 and Udilliv are prescribed for reducing the cholesterol absorption in the gall bladder and hence preventing any formation of calcium deposits or stones.

I am a physician at Potchefstroom in South Africa. I would like to become a prescription doctor for the Antabuse Implant in order to help alcoholics. People in this city and surrounding areas want an operating doctor in this city and surrounding areas. ## I'm sorry, but this website doesn't handle anything like that, it is just a website that handles providing information about medications. Learn more Antabuse details here. I'm assuming that there would have to be some sort of special training that you'd undergo. Have you tried checking for information on it in your local area? ## Are Antabuse implants available in the uk? ## I need an antabuse implant asap!! Why has heminevrin been outlawed in the treatment of chronic alcoholics? It was used successfully in the detoxing process and lowered the rates of fits and tremors. Could it possibly be that it had a very soothing and calming effect and the medical bodies feel that patients especially wanton alcoholics are not fit or deserving of a pleasant detox regimen? ## I was prescribed heminevrin (192mg) for sleeping and it was very effective....until it was stopped. As usual, anything helpful and supportive gets the FDA boot and the patient is left to suffer.

Im an alcoholic. I can't seem to get a prescription for naltrexone (I've been finding it on the internet, very expensive but worth the money, it has saved my life). My MD will not prescribe and I can't find anyone who will. Is there some way of finding someone who will prescribe that I haven't tried yet? Thanks ## Where do you live? ## I live in Cheviot Ohio. My md just refuses. The only thing I can find is the vivitrol shot, but I want the pills so I can keep doing the Sinclair method. It's worked very well for me but I can't afford to buy it without having a valid script from a doctor. :(. Any help appreciated thanks :) ## HPR Clinic on Sawbury Road in Columbus Ohio (off of Sawmill road). They will give shot and write Naltrexone prescriptions. ## On the cthreef...

Can taking naltrexone cause a false positive for oxycodone in a urine test? ## No, no, no, you will have severe withdrawals! Naltrexone will push out the opioid from your system and you will end up clean from it, but it will be heavy. Be prepared if you decide to do this. ## Yes. I had firsthand experience with this. Unfortunately in my case I had to spend two months in jail after 2 failed (pos for oxycodone) immunoassay urine tests. When (finally!) sent to a lab for GC/MS they came back clean. The first dirty was while I was taking 50mg oral naltrexone, the second ten days after I'd been given the vivitrol injection (325mg I believe). ## I'm on naltrexone n I just tested positive for oxycodone. I had them send it to the lab. That should show I wasn't taking oxys right??? ##...

hi I would like to start using this drug but I am a painter and I am exposed to different kid of chemicals containing alcohol. Do you have any experience in this? Apparently you should not use even perfumes or basically anything what contains alcohol and as a painter I am exposed to a lot of fumes Thanks for you help in advance ## The main concern is alcohol, and if you are absorbing it, because it can worsen some of the side effects, according to NIH reports, which could include flushing, headache, nausea, vomiting, and flushing. Thus, I think you might be better to served to speak to your doctor about other possible treatment options. Alternatively, wearing a painter's mask may also help prevent some of the symptoms. How are you doing? Have you started taking it, yet?

I was on Vivitrol for alcohol addiction from April 2015 until November 2016. Around December 2015 I began experiencing sexual side effects - low libido & decreased feelings during climax. Symptoms became worse over time. I have now been off the medication for almost a year and still have no libido, arousal or sexual feelings. Vivitrol has damaged both my dopamine and serotonin receptors. This is similar to Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction. There is no cure and it may be permanent. Vivitrol did help with my addiction to alcohol, but I would have gone off the medication sooner if I had known that I would lose my sexuality. There is no research on this and no cure. I have tried various dopamine agonists to no avail. I am not depressed and have no other medical or psychological issues. If y...

My boyfriend was on subutex, the recovery center stopped him cold turkey and he went without anything in system for weeks. We finally got into recovery center again and he was put on Naltrexone 50mg. He took the meds and started acting angry and aggressive. He got a bad headache. He didn't take it yesterday or today because now he feels sick. ## Those are possible side effects of this medication, according to FDA studies. He may also experience dizziness, dry mouth, and stomach pain. How is feeling, now? Has there been any change? Is he on any other medications? ## You should tell your boyfriend that if he went weeks with no subutext and he only took it for opiate addiction he shouldn't even be sick anymore, but try suboxone, that's what I've been on for years. ## When I...

Does anyone know how long it will take before the drug takes effect and stops the effect of alcohol? ## I'd like to know, too... I need help. I'm getting a vivitrol shot in 2 days. I have taken opioids up until last night. I want information from anyone that has actually taken opioids up until around 65 hours before their shot, and if so, what were the side effects? Please I need help. I'm scared but I also need the shot. ## Yes, you need to be in full withdrawal, before getting the shot, or there is a risk of it putting you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, which may include seizures, according to NIH warnings. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach pain. It would be best to make sure your doctor is aware of the last time you took opiates, to make sure it is safe for you to be given this shot. Are you on any other medications? ## Hi, i don't know much about viv...

I got the vivitrol shot and drank a lot then I took 2 of my naltrexone pills because I felt bad for drinking. 5 hours later my muscles are twitching a lot and my legs are cramping is this a normal side effect (should I ride it out) or should I go to the hospital. Could it be too much naltrexone? Or is my body withdrawing from the alcohol. ## I experienced no side effects from Naltrexone and have not had the vivitrol shot. It was my understanding that it was one or the other - the month-long shot or the pills. Perhaps you had too much in your system. Dehydration and lack of electrolytes like sodium and potassium definitely can lead to muscle cramps. I advise some sort of sports drink and keep the fluids coming, since your nervous system being in high gear keep chemicals like adrenaline r...
