Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 54)

Updated

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

The manufacturer that replaced teva is lannett. Walgreens only used teva now teva turned everything over to Lennett company. It looks the same oval orange but instead of the b the lannett put a e

Teva has been bought out by a company called lannett. Same oval orange but instead the b lannett put a e. It’s a lot weaker by 20% I was told. Leagally they can do that. Generics are allowed to only have 70% of the actual ingredients of the brand name adderall. If you want a good IR adderall try to find sandoz. Teva is done as of May 1st

Teva is now lannett, teva was bought out, I figure that’s why the recent batch was crap. I switched to alvogen, works great! When I got my script I told the pharmacist what happen and he told me that if I have any issues to come back and let them know. Try telling your pharmacist or doctor.

They “work “ but are significantly less potent from the crap Teva produced the last few years.

As it’s the only game in town (other than spotty Aurobindo availability from India) , we’re stuck.

I reached out to my Doc to advise him of their lack of efficacy - and he bumbed up my daily dosage.

With that said, even with the “bump” these the Lannett/ Elite’s are about 80% of Teva.

Hence, the generic can be 70-80% of the brand. Compound that with Lannet + Teva and your essentially getting less than 50% of brand,

No wonder everyone runs short during the month!

I have read that Lennett is the exclusive marketing & distributor for Teva now. haven't found anything that reports Lennett is manufacturing Adderall IR themselves. I could be wrong though. I recently picked up my new script made by Zydus & it's crap just like Teva.

I have a script of XR I still need to drop off. I’ve called all of the near pharmacies and none of them have the ones I’m looking for. I get a script for two months, so I’m doing my research before I waste another two months of my life again

Re: TM (# 1070) Expand Referenced Message

I havent seen any official reports of Teva actually stating anything about merging with any companies as far as adderall goes. I’ve seen buy outs from years ago. I called a local Rite Aid today and the pharmacist told me that they have Activis/Teva in stock. He said he assumes maybe they bought them out but no one locally carries just Teva anymore. URG. I’m waiting to drop my script off that is for two months. I don’t want to waste another two months of my life

I don't know about one being more or less effective than another; I've been given at least two different generics pretty interchangeably since it was first prescribed to me a couple years ago and both seemed to work fine until this week.

I started a new bottle marked Barr and on the second day suffered a mixed episode of my bipolar disorder, which has never happened before. While I'm reasonably certain I've had the Barr type before, this bottle has to be different in some way, which is possible since it's been quite a while since the pharmacy last gave it to me. Perhaps they've changed the formula or the release mechanism or something.

All my previous recent bottles have been Alvogen (I keep them for recycling). All I know is that I will absolutely never take Barr's version again, and if anyone else also suffers from bipolar disorder, you should be especially careful of it.

Re: Nick87 (# 1069) Expand Referenced Message

It’s highly unlikely that the manufacturing will change any time soon. Just because they bought the entire company doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll go change every formula/production operation at every site that was previously owned by teva.

On a side note, there was a mass adderall shortage in the Midwest in February and March, and since then, multiple people and myself have noticed a massive decrease in the efficacy of the teva brand. I’ve also had the brand that just bought teva, and the efficacy of those things is s*** even compared to the (most likely) cut teva brand adderall.

There hasn’t been an FDA inspection in over a year, and even when they do come...they don’t actually test the products for accuracy. They simply rely on the data reports produced by the company. So they’re basically unregulated, and in addition to the massive shortage recently....there’s no way in hell we’re all crazy. The pills f***ing suck. Big pharma is just a giant drug dealer, cutting their supply.

Generic medication cannot be equivalent to the namebrand. If that were true both could not exist. There is a 20% difference and also the molecular differences are obvious to anyone when please side-by-side.

I am having the exact same problem. I got 60 x 20mg tabs of teva and it's like several of the active ingredients are missing. It barely does what it used to do. I take one then another then another and it barely works. I heard that the pandemic caused a chemical shortage so they're shipping out the pills with one or more active ingredients missing.

Wow that was mind blowing and very very insightful! How brave of her! I will def take her advice on reaching out to my district legislature‘s and officials as she noted! I hope everyone else is enlightened to do the same, this is so sad! I suffer for years with quality control and month to month new ingredients in generic meds making me sick or my asthma worse or ineffective causing me to Leave my keys in the car while I have my toddler with me multiple times a month I miss insane how this is legal to mess with peoples lives like this. Just horrifying. Thanks for that YouTube video, wow!

Re: SarahAda (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

The irony in this is that now in 2021 Teva is literally one of the only decent generic brands of Adderall (they all suck, have a very low therapeutic value, tons of fillers, little active ingredient to cut corners and save $$). There’s a new manufacturer every day it seems like. Supposedly Teva’s generic IR (at least now) is the closest in relation to Brand as I believe Teva now manufactures the brand. NEVER ever let your pharmacy fill Lannett. You’ll think Teva was gold and really have an FDA complaint on your hands.
