I have looked everywhere for answers to my questions for the symptoms of withdrawals of Norco but haven't found what I needed. ## I recently ran out of Norco that I have been on for a year. 10/325 at 4 a day. The withdrawals were insane. I have since gotten more meds but I can't get this awful taste out of my mouth nor can I shake this weak feeling I have. Any help? ## This will probably last for about two weeks. You need to get off them their really bad, and make you feel horrible when you don't have them!

My husband has used fentanyl patches for years for chronic pain. He's been on the lowest dosage for at least 2 years and suddenly he's having terrible withdrawals for no reason. He has been on higher dosages before and the lowest dosage is good enough for his pain. These withdrawals are a nightmare for him and me. He had withdrawals then 2 days later withdrawals again even though both times he had a fresh patch on. Does anyone know why this would happen? Does a body just decide to reject it after a length of time? The patches are fresh, he used some from this box already, so it's not the batch of patches. ## Hi I used the patch n went down did not have withdrawals he shouldn't be Id quite taking them and get to the Pharmacy good Luck ## Hi AGrandma! I have gotten down to 2 a day. Will I have withdrawals? ## Hello sinnerman, According to NIH there is no way to 100% curb the withdrawal symptoms of stopping opiods. According to the American addictions center organization there are some ways that you can allevaite some of the symptoms or at least not make them worse than they need to be. The list is as follows. - Nutritional support, through diet and/or vitamin supplements - Hydration - Hydrotherapy, including baths and whirlpools - Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - Anti-nausea medications - Topical analgesics - Natural sleep supplements - Antidiarr...

Hi, I have been taking Paxil (20mg) for over a year now. The first time I noticed withdrawal symptoms was when I was unable to pick up my refill and missed 1 day of taking it. I woke up hardly able to walk because the room felt like it was spinning and I kept feeling like I was having brain seizures. About 2 hours or so after taking a pill I was feeling back to normal. Is this normal for this kind of a drug? I’m 22, still having occasional suicidal thoughts while on Paxil and am worried that I am now addicted to it. Is this drug safe? ## NO! I was on it 6 years. Paxil and Amitriptylin for sleep. I quit paxil cold turkey big mistake. tapered off over 5 months. Was still not easy. This is my first month off and my biggest complaint is the itching and dry skin areas. Did some prep wo...

I have been on vibryd for almost 3 months and notice nothing. It is like I'm immune to every anti-depressant out there. I've almost convinced myself that nothing will work to help with my sad thoughts. I've decided to stop taking vibryd because I feel there is no reason to take a pill if it does no good. Does anyone know if there are side effects coming off of this med. It has been three days now and I haven't noticed anything yet. I was up to 40 mg. ## I see this was posted several days ago. How are things going? If I'd have read this post sooner, the biggest warning I'd have given is to watch for the rebound depression, suddenly stopping a medication like this may cause some depressive symptoms that are worse than the ones you started taking it for. Stopped taking Zoloft cold turkey about 4 months ago had been taking it for over 2 yrs 75 mg. how long do withdrawals last? ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? It usually only takes a month or so, so if you're still experiencing symptoms after 4 months, you should have yourself checked out, as there may be something else causing them. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal symptoms as possibly including rebound depression, rebound anxiety, diarrhea, fever, chills and dizziness. Is there anything else I can help with?

I tore my ACL about 4 years ago, and no one will operate on it.I have been dealing with Oxycodone addiction since i was first prescribed my 5 mg percocet. I am currently DETOXING from around 500 MG of oxycodone per day for about the last 4 months. I've Dt'd many times before, but i am in it for the long haul this time. I haven't slept in two nights and tonight isn't seeming to be very promising either. I'm just looking for some support, maybe someone to talk to through the harder times. Also if anyone knows of any OTC medications that may help get me through it would be greatly appreciated. I Love you Max Jr. Daddy will be better very soon. ## I completely understand the pain your experiencing, withdrawal's can be the single hardest thing to deal with, there are ...

I have been off Lexapro for almost a week now (1 year on 20mg) I am having horrible withdrawals eg. Feeling like Im being zapped through my head chest & arms, especially when I move, insomnia, feeling obsessive, feeling manic, no concentration, feeling like I'm not myself and so on.. I'm just wanting to know if there is anything I can do as I am so close to just starting back on them, I don't know if I can handle this ## Hello, Emily! How are you doing? Have things improved, at all, yet? That is fairly typical for withdrawal from SSRIs, according to the information provided by the FDA. Generally, tapering is preferred, rather than stopping cold turkey, to prevent the worst of the withdrawal and rebound effects. You may also experience nausea, chills and diarrhea. It usua...

Good Morning Everyone, I have been on Vyvanse 50 mg for about 7 months. Took it everyday. My company that I work for changed their insurance policy where I now have a 3,000 deductible before copays hit. Vyvanse became 294.00 a month. Couldn't afford it. My doctor (former doctor who never listened to me) tried to put me on Dexedrine twice a day as a suitable replacement. I am currently on Wellbutrin XL 150 mg for my depression and anxiety (and I hear that it helps with ADD) but I am on day 1 of my cold turkey stoppage and I feel like a truck hit me. I thought Vyvanse helped but it really hurt me too. I became irritable, wasn't sleeping, and experienced Amphetamine Induced Erectile Dysfunction. I have been having problems for a few weeks. Twice I was with my girlfriend and couldn...

I have been taking 80mg of baclofen a day for the past month now. I started it October 2nd 2013-November 4th 2013. I have now been going through withdrawals from the medication for 5 days now and was curious if it will be over with very soon? I ask this because i haven't been on it long but am not sure how long this withdrawal feeling will last. I am feeling the mental withdrawal and the muscle issues at this point now. Can someone please help me out with when I will or should be getting back to normal mentally and physically? ## Hello, Steph! How are you feeling? It's difficult to say, since everyone is different. That was a pretty high dosage, so what you're experiencing are most likely rebound effects from stopping it abruptly, this isn't a medication known to cause w...

Hi all, first time here. I have severe fibromyalgia, bipolar and ADHD. I have been in a lot of pain from the fibro and neck problems despite being given high doses of oxycodone four times a day. I have been. really depressed, unmotivated, indecisive, anxious and somewhat isolated. I finally couldn't take it anymore and went to my psych provider as a walk in. After I told him what had been going on, he decided I should try Cymbalta. From the very first capsule I took, my fibro pain WENT AWAY completely. But here is the problem. I started reading about the drug's lovely side effects and the horrible withdrawal that comes when one gets off of it and I don't know what to do. I am already sweating, leg twitches, and feeling anxious. i don't think I want to take this drug beca...

I have become a monster...I was given a perscription for the patches(75mcg) about 10 months ago and 90 oxy's(15mg) for the breakthrough pain. I ask the dr. to please help me come off the patches and was told that if I came off them he would dissmiss me as a paitent. Well I came off them myself or thought I could. Now i have made a new problem for myself. I quit them and had the 90 oxy's for a back-up plan so if the withdrawals became to bad for me to withstand. You see, about 20 years ago I was a junkie but got cleaned up and have been living a good life for the past 18 years. Well, to make a long story short I started shooting the oxy's, about 10 a day, and did not have very much withdrawal from the patches. Now I have created a new problem for myself and I am so ashamed th...

If I was able to stop taking Percocet, can I take again without having to go through withdrawals again? I don't want to go through that again, but if I don't abuse will it start all over again? ## Just following; sorry I can't help you. ## No, if you take it for a long period of time again, even if you don't abuse it, your body will, once again, become dependent on it and a sudden cessation will result in some withdrawal effects. This is completely and the only way to try to avoid such would be by doing a slow taper off of a medication, rather than suddenly stopping it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Okay, so say I stay clean for a month, if I take a couple perk 10's just one night maybe once a month or twice a month will I have withdrawl symptoms like I ...

I took pulmison 20mg 2x daily for 6 months for sarciodoses. I experience constant pain in all my joints since i stopped taking the tablets. It's been 2 months and the pain still persists. Is this normal and for how long will this carry on? ## It is difficult to say whether this issue has been caused by the medication, or the medication issue, since Sarcoidosis is known to cause the growth of inflammatory cells, in various parts of the body, which could also cause such pain, according to NIH symptom lists. Are you on any other medications? Has your doctor advised any further treatment? ## Not on any medication at present. No further medication has been prescribed. I have given up.

I've been taking seroquel xr 200mg x 2 a day. I've been taking it for a year and a half now and I'm wanting to have a baby but I'm scared to death of the withdrawals. I've read some scary stories as well as dangers of the drug I wasn't aware of. Any advise/suggestions? ## Hello, Niki! How are you? I would suggest consulting your doctor. They will be able to help you with a proper and safe way to taper off of the medication, before you become pregnant. That would be far better than trying to get ideas on internet. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I've tried to taper off with my doctors approval but I was got so sick after changing the dosage one time. I was hoping there may be a vitamin or a supplement to help with the withdrawals.

I had spine surgery on 7/21. I had been taking 900 mgs daily for years. By 7/24 inadequate a hemorrhagic stroke. The hospital simply overlooked my need for neurontin. I had also bee on high doses of OxyContin and was medically supervised for 5 yrs. Then my dr decided to detox me day after surgery; hence I had no pain meds despite extensive spine repair involving my complete lumbar spine. The pain i endured destroyed my faith in god in the midst of this torture/ I realized I was having neurontin withdrawals that I believe caused the stroke. Is this a possibility? ## What other medications were you taking and what others were administered during the surgery and while hospitalized?
