We have had many posts about this recently from many people who are having problems getting their prescriptions filled. There was a shortage reported to the FDA a few months ago and it seems that not everything has been resolved yet, with the supply chain. The only thing I can suggest is talking to your doctor about using an alternative medication in the meantime. going to wean off hydrea to obtain 400 or less platelet levels before going off of it. taking 500mg 2x weekly. Dr. say take l cap and 2cap every other day. Present plt level is 570. Research I came up with quote to increase extra capsules for one day a week .eg.., (2) caps 6 days &, 3caps 1 day, that hydrea works on a weekly basis rather than daily dose. I am going to a clinic who is prescribing me a combination of phentermine and topamax. Initially I went to them about 2 years ago and this combination allowed me to lose about 30 pounds like magic. The weight just fell off! I went on maintenance and maintained the weight well. I am trying to find out who makes strovite. It seems as though Evertt no longer does. ## Based on information I could find online, Evertt seemed to be the only manufacturer of these vitamins. Have you tried looking up the ingredients to see if there are any other brands that come close to Strovites nutritional profile? If I could suggest a solid multi-vitamin and mineral supplement, I'd have to go with "Garden of Life Vitamin Code" It's comprised of raw vitamins and minerals from whole foods that haven't been denatured or heated. Definitely a strong competitor among non-prescription based alternatives. I hope this info helps!

I have been on some sort of opiate for more than twenty years. Methadone mcompression frqaaintenance the whole nine yards. For the past five years I had ben doing well on suboxone however about a month ago I sustained two compression fractures and a cyst on my spine. I have a high tollerance and I need to find a doctor in N.E. Pa that will prescribe me a strong opiate like fyntanal or methadone for pain. Can anyone help me. ## Have you been taking Methadone and Suboxone for the treatment of drug addiction ? If you have, it is doubtful that you will be able to find a dr that will prescribe you pain meds.

Was told it's ritalin, but have never seen this kind. ## Hi Alana, Based on my research, the pill you have is actually identified as a 0.5mg Lorazepam tablet manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals. (Definitely not Ritalin). Ritalin contains the active ingredient Methylphenidate, which is used for ADHD and narcolepsy. Lorazepam on the other hand is a benzodiazepine class drug that treats anxiety. I am starting Suboxone after using oxy for over 3 years after being a college and after college drunk for 8 years. So 11 years of being additcted to something and now I move to Suboxone. However I am reading that alot of people use suboxone for months and months, but i'm planning on going for just a month or so. I was using one of the online face2face consults services but they can't find any more doctors for me to see, even out of state. I went to RI and NY but they aren't around anymore. I've had chronic knee pain after multiple surgeries, can't take NSAIDS, and injections last a week, if they can even get the needle into all the scar tissue. Looking for an understanding doc in MA or RI who will prescribe and not accuse me of being an addict ## Try Dr Jay Portnow in Brockton. He only works 3 days per week. I'm suffering tremendously, and my friend said they knew of a great doctor in Howell, NJ who is one of the few who is still brave enough to prescribe for pain management without much of a hassle. I took my 4 year old to the dr yesterday for a really bad cough & low grade fever. The dr said his lungs sounded clear, no weasing or anything like that. She told me to keep doing what I was doing. Giving him Motrin for the fever & Robitussin for the cough. She also tested him for the flu and that was negative. Last night he coughed NON STOP all night. At one point he was coughing so hard he vomited. This morning I called the drs office to see about getting him some prescription strength cough meds to help supress his cough since the over the counter ones were clearly not working. Well, the dr that treated him yesterday was off today so they told me I would need to bring him back in. So I did. I've been on LYRICA for almost a month, it was kind of a last resort for me. I have had chronic back/nerve pain (unknown cause) for 20 months now. Neurosurgeon and Orthopedic both say surgery is not an option. They recommended a spinal cord stumulator but im weary of it. LYRICA has given me energy and I sleep better. I cook and clean and laundry gets done...that hasn't happened since before pain started. I feel more positive but my moods change quickly. However the labeling also states that this product is "Made in the USA"; if you check the bottom left-hand side of the package (underneath the Drug Facts).
