I was given a white oblong pill with just a 5 on it. I was told it was an opioid. A percocet 10 mg. It's driving me mad that I can't figure this out!! Someone please help. ## Jay, a 5 denotes 5mg, not 10 mg. At least with any pain meds I know. Just saying.

It is not a Hydrocodone tablet, there are none with that marking. If so, I would need to know what those numbers are to give you an identification, but what I can tell is that if that is what you are talking about, it is not a prescription medication and contains no narcotics of any type. The company that manufactures those tablets only makes over the counter products.

If so, the tablet contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Hydrocodone, the active ingredients in Vicodin. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
