my daughter, 17, has had nausea for three weeks most likely due to the overuse of painkillers for migraine headaches and NSAIDs. Sucralsate was given to her and now her nausea tripled. Don't know how to undo what has been done. Any suggestions to lessen the nausea either from this or other options. She's on PPI but doesn't seem to be working. It's the nausea that bothering her more than stomach pain. ## Has she tried any alternative antacids, such as Pepcid, which contains the active ingredient Famotidine? In some people, the PPIs can worsen nausea, stomach pain and other symptoms, so they may not be the best choice for them to use. I had a similar problem, until I finally got lucky and an ER doctor determined that the PPI that had been prescribed for me was contributing...

I took plan b one step about a week ago and had such a bad experience! I had nausea the first two days, started spotting the third day, by the fifth day was bleeding VERY heavily and the whole time had the most terrible cramps. It seems like everything that could happen did...I was especially disturbed because I'd taken another ECP one other time about 4 years ago and experienced no side effects. Now, it's been just over a week and the bleeding has stopped as well as the normal menstrual cramps, but they were replaced by pain in my lower abdomen that feels more like dull muscle pain when I push on my lower abdomen, walk or hold my stomach in. It's not severe, but it is definitely noticeable and just one more out of the ordinary thing to worry about. Also, I would have though...

I've been on 60mg of Cymgen for almost three years. It is been used to treat fibromyalgia. I came off it cold turkey 5 weeks ago with my doctor's consent. It was causing dangerously high levels of blood pressure. Two weeks in my blood pressure is back to the normal range. However it has been 5 weeks of hell wth the withdrawal symptoms and I don't see an end I sight. Every time I see a glimmer of hope I come crashing down again. I went to work for a total of three days in January, and for only a few hours at that! I'm at my wits end. I've tried herbal products o help ease the symptoms as well as Motillium and Mittal for the extreme nausea, nothing works. Is there an end in sight?? ## Hello, Linda! How are you? I spent a week in the hospital with Covid a month ago. I'm 71 years old with asthma and COPD. After being released from the hospital, I thought I would start feeling better. Unfortunately, I think I may have Long Covid, as I have brain fog, significant nausea, and no energy at all. I can't get an appointment to see my doctor for 2 weeks. Has anyone else had experience with Long Covid, or are these symptoms just normal for Covid? It's really hard to get any info here in Australia, as it's all so new. Thank you. ## I am 91 and experienced all of the symptoms you mentioned, plus a loss of 55 pounds due to loss of taste and smell and no appetite. Have gained back 20 pounds in the last nine months. Still a lot we don’t know about COVID in USA. ## I had covid 6 months ag...

Symptoms are stomach cramps, nausea, abdominal pain. Can I use an antibiotic for these symptoms? ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Antibiotics only treat bacterial infections, but the symptoms you've described are most commonly caused by viral infections, so antibiotics will not help, as reported by the NIH. There are also other possible causes, such as food poisoning. Have you had this checked out? Are you doing any better?

I had a nightly routine for sleep that worked very well until adding dilaudid. My husband would wake me telling me I was screaming in my sleep, I have not had nightmares just a lot of chatter that last night caused a terrible fight this has not happened before I started dilaudid and baclofen, so which is the villian ## I am not a doctor, but I have to say that the best guess would be the Dilaudid, if it was the one most recently added. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Many of these medications can cause odd, vivid dreaming. Why did your chatter cause a terrible fight? Do you have any idea what you were saying? Started Belviq 3 days ago. Only 1 per day at night since I've tried it before & could not handle the symptoms taking 2 a day morning & afternoon. Again this time I experienced bad headache & the main thing I don't tolerate is the nausea. How long before this goes away? Or does it continue? Thanks. ## Side effects are usually transient and go away in time, as your body gets used to a medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. You may also experience dizziness, headache, dry mouth and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?
