I wanna know what this is used for? ## i went to a dermatologist for acne and post acne scar treatment and was prescribed tranexemic acid 500 tablets, when i looked up for its uses i havn't found its use for acne mentioned anywhere, i would like to know the ude of this drug in acne particularly and other skin treatments ## All I know regarding tranexamic acid in regards to acne is that is sometimes can be found in creams that are supposed to whiten old acne marks (something do to with post inflamatory hyperpigmentation). I am a Vietnam veteran with PTSD. I took this drug for several years and it was a big help. Now Doctors are saying that they will not prescribe this medication because it'a addictive. It is not addictive to me. I need more information on the availability of this medication. ## Did you mean Tranxene, which contains the active ingredient Clorazepate, which is used to treat anxiety? My 8 yr old son has just been prescribed Daytrana Patch. We havent picked it up yet. He was on Focalin and it wasnt good. He was then just kept on intuiv. He almost got hit by the school bus today. so his neurologist prescribed him this patch. Im alittle worried of these new medicines out and just feel for 10 months he has been a guinney pig. I know this is alot of trial and error. Just very worried!!!! ## Intuiv is basicly Tenex, a blood pressure med. It's been on the market for many yrs. My daughter takes it for Tourette's Syndrome and hypertension. We've never had any problems with it and she has multi-disabilities.
