My sister was taking Nucynta and Prednisone for her Rheumatoid Arthritis and it weakened her immune system. She had only been taking these 2 medications about a year. One day she got strep and it killed her. Within a couple of days of feeling sick, she was rushed the ER and passed away. She died of septic shock. I blame the drugs. ## Hello, Diana! How are you doing? I am so very sorry for your loss. Prednisone is a steroid class medication that can cause suppression of the immune system, so yes, it could have contributed to the problem. It can also headache, fluid retention and weight gain. However, not being a doctor, I can't say with certainty that it did. Have they attributed her death to anything? What do they say was the cause?

Okay. My sister suffers from GREAT muscle pain due to an injury she sustained in her leg years ago. Our grandmother recently died, and my sister inherited the house. She has found many different forms of pills, but the one that she's curious about is the bottle of Flexeril, seeing as how she's used it before in the past for her muscle spasms and such, but can't get any medication right now as she doesn't currently have insurance of any kind. Here's the catch: I told her that from my understanding, you can generally take Flexeril anywhere from 5-15 years after its listed expiration date. HOWEVER...... Doctors themselves don't even know how a specific medication is going to effect you until after you've taken it for some time and can make a proper judgement call based on how you feel or whatever side effects present themselves. Personally, I would suggest opting for whatever medication your doctor or surgeon recommends and then you can give them feedback on how it may be working for you. Often times, you can switch medications or seek out natural alternatives online if it doesn't appear to be working in your favor. I hope this advice helps!

I live with my sister and her 5 year old son who is like my own. I have been with him since he was 1. She was seeing a therapist that I will call John. One would listen to her and the other would prescribe the meds. Anyway they all of a sudden put her on 200 MG's of LTD. This was over two years ago. It has been a strange ride since then. Her knee was replaced 10 years ago and all these years she was comfortably walking about. However 3 months ago she had eczema on her right leg and that spread up to her knee. My sister (29 Years) met with Road Traffic Accident on 05.02.2012 leading to DAI, SDH of 3mm which resolved on 06.04.2012. She was GCS-E4M6V4 at time of discharge (01.06.2012). Though tracheostomy was (done on 18.02.2012) removed on May 22 but still the pitch & tone of her voice is Heavy & slurring. Sometimes there are mood-disorders. Writing & eating is with jerky movements & not with precision, it seems she applies lot of force. My Sister was given this pill in the Hospital but was not told what it was or what it was for . It looks like a little brown Football with PAR 858 on it. ## Does the imprint say PAR 858 or PAR 868? My sister has been on ARV for six months now, taking 3TC, TDF and EFV. She been doing so good in them, except for last month when she started to have numbness on the left leg. But after a week she came right. On the 31 of October 2013, they gave her Atrioza, since den she's been complaining of severe headache n backache. my sister I staking rumoquin fn and shes wondering if its normal that she hasn't got her period, shes certenly not pregnant because shes tested her self for that alredy and all negative. ## From what I could gather, Rumoquin contains Methocarbamol (a msucle relaxant), Dexamethasone (a corticosteroid) and Diclofenac (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory). After taking a look at the side effects for each ingredient, I get the feeling Dexamethasone is the culprit here. It lists "irregular or absent menstrual periods" under general side effects.
