What vitamins are in the multivitamin/flouride pill?? I keep looking and can't find any info on it. Just says multivitamin. ## Hello, MaRii! How are you? I'm sorry, is that the marking on it or the name of it? Is there any labeling on the bottle? Is this an over the counter product, or prescription? ## Its a prescription vitamin

what is this pill? One side says "SCI", and the other side is just.."4" ## Where was it found/obtained? Was it in the U.S. or elsewhere? I'm not finding this listed in the U.S. prescription drug databases and have never seen this marking, before. With that marking, it leads me to suspect that it may be something that is available over the counter, but there is also a chance that it could be a foreign medication. Does anyone recognize this tablet? ## Help? Anyone? My child just found a bag of these and ate one. Not sure what it is! ## Becca, anytime that your child, or anyone else, takes something that is unidentified, you should call your nearest poison control or emergency services. There are some prescription medications on the U.S. market with the SCI marking, but...

Since taking Derxilant, it has helped my GERD immensely, but my new insurance company has a $100 monthly co-pay. Originally my physician recommended Dexilant because many other prescriptions and OTC drugs are not indicated for patients that also take Plavix, I do take Plavix. Do you know of any "new" medications that are as good as Dexilant but will not interfere with my heart meds?

I've got a pinched sciatic nerve that has gotten progressively worse over the past 6 weeks. Finally went to an ER because the pain became unbearable. I had been trying yoga poses/stretches for the hamstrings. That really didn't help. I was in an ER yesterday, for about 5 hours or so, because after I had got up in the morning I was unable to move without excruciating pain in my right hip down through my right leg..I couldn't move on my own, and the paramedics that picked me up, OMG I was screaming and balling in pain.. Over the course of the 5 hours I was there in the ER, I got injected (through an IV) of FENTanyl 50mg (didn't help). About 40 mins later I got a shot of TORadol (30mg), didn;t help.. FINALLY, around 3:34pm, I got a shot of morphine.. OMG!! Was that the most...

I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Herniated l5s1 and holy f word it hurts. They are giving me lyrica on day two and feel like a 70 year old drunk. I had a ct scan but was denied the mri doc thinks I'll be fine. What I don't understand is why I'm taking nerve medicine but he thinks I'll be able to re set the disc and be fine. Why not some muscle relaxers and nsaids....I lay in pain hoping this stupid drug works in a week to 10 days. Thanks for letting me rant. ## Lyrica is actually not a nerve medication, so to speak. It is classified by the U.S. FDA as an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain, and some mood disorders. It usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks to reach its full level of efficacy in your body, to see if it is ...

Can I take Olfen-retard together with Norgesik? If so, how much of BOTH can I take daily? Please answer me promptly as the sciatic pain is unbearable. Thanks. ## Hello, Vivian! How are you? No, they should not be taken together, since both contain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so you'd be essentially doubling up, which, as listed by the U.S. FDA, may increase the risk of stomach damage, ulceration, liver damage and the risk of bleeding. It would be best to stick with one, or the other, as directed by your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am 71 and for the past 6 months been in pain management for herniated discs lower back. I recently stopped the lowest doses of oxycodone/acetaminophen and morphine er. Did not help pain. Dr and I have just about exhausted trying many pain meds. Yesterday he prescribed 10mg methadone. I cut them in half. This morning I took 10mg. Wish I had not done that. I could deal with the little upset stomach but the dizziness lasted almost 9 hours..terrible. I will take 5mg once or twice a day thru weekend but pain level still at a 9. So if I still have pain by Mon will call dr and stop med. What scares me is he said prednazone would be next. I have read that this med has some really nasty side effects. I'm stretching daily and really don't want to take any of this stuff. Thinking about p...

My doctor gave me a sample pack and a prescription for metanx because he thought it could help me nerve pain. But he said there were no side effects. Do you think this will be helpful? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The FDA classifies Metanx as a medical food, it contains nutrients that are believed to help support nerve health and minimize nerve pain. Thus, there are no commonly known side effects for it, other than possibly nausea, since it is rather potent. Have you tried it, yet? ## I can check. Thanks so much. There has to be something. ## I have not.. Thanks so much. Tried a lot of meds. Trying to get away from opoids. ## METANX definitely works for sciatica! We get samples of it where I work and nothing helps when I get sciatica. I tried the Metanx and 2 hours later, the burning, p...

Please explain sciatica to me. My husband has severe pain in his leg from hip button joint down his R leg. Never had it this bad before will the bone Dr treat this with meds before taking a MRI??? Will he be able to take MRI since he has a pacemaker also. Thanks for your info. Eugene ## Hello, Eugene! How are you? Sciatica is a group of symptoms usually involving pain and stiffness that result in compression of the sciatic nerve. It can be due to aging, a medical condition or injury. It can travel both legs, or just one, depending on the severity, as explained by the NIH. How it's treated is entirely up to the doctor. If he has a traditional pace maker that has metal parts, then no, he cannot have an MRI. However, they can do regular x-rays and CT scans. Is there anything else I can...

Is artridol good for sciatica! ## Hello, Hutts! How are you? Artridol should not be taken, without your doctor's approval. It contains Indomethacin (a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory) and Betamethasone (a steroid class medication.) Thus, there can be some risks associated with taking it, which as listed by the FDA, may include increased risk of bleeding, elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure, fluid retention and heart failure. So, it may be contraindicated with some medical conditions and some other medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

I haveve Sciatica pains for that reason I am taking 1 pill 5/325 a day , for 18 months Due know my Dr is out of town ,and I do not have any more vicodin, but a I have some leftovers of tramadol hcl50 mg , How much will be of tramadol to equal my vicodin prescription ,and all so if I will have side effects for the change ## Hello, Ed! How are you? According to the conversion charts provided by GlobalRPh, one 50mg Tramadol is equal to one 5.325 Norco/Vicodin. Though, you shouldn't take the Tramadol, unless your doctor approves. Tramadol is a very mild opiate. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can ...

small round peach pill ## The closest they make to a peach color is their 60mgs tablet, it is actually a bright orange and has their P logo on one side and 60 over mg on the opposite. Some made by other companies include: An orangish colored, round pill with an M in a square on one side and a 60 on the other. And round, peach tablet with ABG on one side and 60 on the other. Do any of these match the tablet you are asking about?

I've been taking oxycodone 5 and tramadol 50 alternately for very many years, every three to four hours recent years. I'm getting too miserable and too dysfunctional lately, so tried oxymorphone 10er instead (as prescribed) but it actually made the sciatica pain even much worse (due in part to the extreme constipating effect), so had to quit that. Morphine and demerol never worked on pain for me either, having lesser but similar bad effects. I'm back to the oxycodone and tramadol for what little help they can provide. Age 65, average build, trying to stay active. Need ideas for better pain management. ## First I'm so sorry for what you are going through. I also have nerve pain and I can completely relate. Second, has your doctor ever recommend pain patches for constant p...

Do they work as well as PAR brand? Any other comments on this brand of Bupropion? ## Do not work as well. And couldn't return them. CVS still uses PAR and CVS policy is to inform before providing different brand. ## PAR Bupropion works better for me, (used 2 years). Get it in CVS by request only. I tried CIPLA for about 4 months, don’t like it at all. Back to PAR. ## Why didn’t they work? What were all your side effects?

What is the best medicine for pain due to sciatica. Pain goes down my leg & I get tingling in my toes. ## Have you consulted a doctor? It really depends on what is causing the sciatic pain, such as nerve compression, spinal injury, or other issues. Only a doctor is going to be able to help you get to the root of the problem and explore what medication or treatment options might work for you. ## I take 6 30 mgand 3 80 mg of ops but it is not working as well, what can I do

In 2006 I had surgery for a pinched nerve in the L5-S1 area which was a success. About 2 years ago the symptoms I had when I had the surgery slowy started to come back over time. Earlier this year I had an MRI and went to see an Orthopedic Surgeon (same one that did the original surgery). He said that there are 2 meds for me to try, Diclofenac-Misoprostol & Lyrica. First stated with 50mg of Diclofenac twice daily for a few months, it helped somewhat so after seeing my GP it upped it to 75mg twice daily, not a big difference from the 50mg. The next step for me to take is Lyrica, after seeing the adverse effects on a local TV commerical I am wary of switching to this. Working up high on ladders is part of my job so getting dizzy and not being able to focus is not a good thinkg to have...

Can someone tell me what medicine they take for sciatic nerve, hip hurts and lower back. I already take norco but this not helping me. ## Hi Deborah, May I ask what treatment options you've already undergone? (i.e. surgery, acupuncture, natural alternatives, heat/ice treatment, chiropractic manipulation, massage therapy, light physical exercise (yoga), eating more plant-based foods etc). I would normally suggest taking advantage of those options before relying on prescription narcotics; mainly because things like yoga and natural alternatives can be done throughout your life without necessarily being dependent on your doctor. I hope this advice helps! ## What alleviates the pain can vary from person to person, so the only way to find out what works for you is by trying different med...
