I was without consultation forced to join Cadabam Mental Health in January 2016 by my family. I was forcefully administered tablets there & made to stay for 9 months. I had been given Dicorate Er 250 mg which I am continuosly taking but now I want to stop as it is giving me heart & chest aches, I feel inactive, etc. I have not consulted any Psychotherapist regarding it. My EEG was not taken for epilepsy but I was simply categorized as borderline schezinophernia. So can I stop taking it abruptly or is there a lower mg I can taper off of? Foreign countries have banned its usage above 60mg in a day & that too in very bad cases, otherwise only 10mg per day.

I am taking 15mg mophine er every 12hours my doc cut me off . I am a mom an need to come off them with out withdrawl...please tell me safe way to do this "... I also take xanex 1 mg 2 times a day . ## Try reducing it to one tablet a day for about 5 days, then don't take the other tablet.. The chronic pain you're taking it for will get worse. You may or may not have additional muscle pain along with nausea and other signs of withdrawals. Since you're on a low dose, the symptoms should not be severe. It would be best to talk to your dr about this before you do it.

My son had SEVERE ADHD to the point of hitting teachers when he was 4 in preschool, so he was tried on many meds and finally placed him on 36 mg of Concerta and 1mg of Tenex for any left over aggression. When he was in 1st grade the Concerta was moved up to 54mg. Now he is almost 12 and he says he doesn't feel "normal" when he takes them (sometimes we skip weekends). Hi iam takeing morphine sulfate er 15mg my dr just started me on these one every 12 hours I took one at 5am it is now 12pm would it hurt me to take a nuther one...??? Iam in pain I was takeing methadon 10mg x3 but I wanted off of it so my ? Is can I take a nuthher morphine? ## Have you contacted your doctor? It isn't advisable to take them closer together, than the 12 hour dosing, unless your doctor specifically advises you to do so. It could result in your getting too much of the Morphine at once and may result in an overdose. Even though you have been switched to another narcotic, if you stopped the Methadone abruptly, without tapering, then you are likely to experience some withdrawal and rebound effects, which could result in pain that's much worse for a few weeks.

I could not sleep the last two nights and wonder if there is a sleep aid safe to take with the metoprolol er succinate that I have been taking in the morning and evening, 25 mg pills. Been taking these b/p pills for months now. ## Hello, Peg! How are you? The main problem with them is that most sleep aids, such as Tylenol PM, Unisom and etc. use antihistamines, which may not always be safe for someone that has high blood pressure, because they can cause further elevations, according to the FDA. Thus, you should not take them, unless your doctor specifies that it is safe for you to do so. There may also be an issue if someone is overweight, since they may cause more weight gain.
