Hello. I'm a 55 yr old lady who ruptured a disc in my spine. I was about 30lbs overweight. One of the Clinicians advised that losing the weight would help with the healing of my back. She put me on Phentermine and Topamax. The weight came off pretty fast, about 5 lbs per week. But the side effects were very unpleasant. I found myself planning my suicide. Came too close for comfort. So I weaned myself off the meds. That was 3 months ago. Since then, my hair has been falling out. It's about 3/4 gone with no regrowth yet. I also started having acne, like I'd never had before. It's like cysts on my face and upper chest. My digestive system is totally messed up with pain and diarrhea/constipation. Nothing has helped regulate it (such as Rx for IBS). All blood tests normal!!!!...

i developed bradycardia, pulse 36-42. My daughter has been on clonidine for approx 10yrs...she is 17 now. Hi! I have pcos and my doctor advise me to use althea on the first day of my menstruation to regulate my mens. After 8 days of my last menstruation day, I bleed. I thought its my menstruation as I am irregular. But, during my 1st day of bleeding, it was very light. I only used 2 panty liners. I have PCOS and my doctor prescribed Loestrin for me to regulate my periods ( I was getting maybe 2 a year). I was on Loestrin 24 Fe for about 3 years until they discontinued it. I didn't hear anything about it being discontinued so when i picked up my new pack and saw that it said Minasterin 24 i did my research. I figured out what happened and heard that it was pretty much the same thing so i started taking it thinking "why not?". It most definitely is NOT the same thing. I had no problems with Loestrin and virtually no side effects. It even did what it was supposed to and forced me to have my period once a month.
