Now i am one and a half month for me . I was getting tired but no other symptoms like vomiting. Doctor advised to take doxinate for a month shall i continue ## In the case of pregnancy, you should always discuss your continued use of any medication with your doctor, because there is really no way anyone online can know all the details about your pregnancy and medical history. Have you tried asking them why they prescribed it? Doxinate contains the active ingredient Doxylamine, which is an antihistamine, which is used to treat various issues, such as allergies and nausea. However, it is known to be sedating, so it is probably not a good choice for someone that is already experiencing tiredness.

I have a friend that I'm worried about. She has been taking methadone, oxycodone and methamphetamine. She is 2 weeks away from having her baby... She has said her whole pregnancy that she was gonna quit. I found out that wasn't true. Is her baby gonna be addicted when she has her baby or will 2 weeks be enough time to get the medicine out of her baby's system? I'm so upset with this issue but I just have to know will the baby be ok? ## Hello, Jess! How is your friend doing? She really needs to inform her doctor, before she goes into labor. There is a risk that the baby will be born addicted and a sudden withdrawal now could put both her and the baby's lives in danger, as reported by the NIH. Additionally, if there would be complications that require treatment, her do...

Has anyone stopped taking Prozac before getting pregnant and how did you do with your depression? ## Animal studies have revealed no evidence of fetal harm, but it is always best to consult your physician to be sure it is safe for you to take. The NIH does lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. Are you on any other medications?

The Dr gave me Adco Fem 35 due to missed periods. They worked but after one packet my periods stopped again. It's been 6 months now, I'm married and not using any contraceptives now. Is there a possibility of pregnancy when I don't have periods? ## Hello, Shirley! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. No, there isn't much chance of your getting pregnant, if you're not having periods, because it likely means that you aren't ovulating each month. If the AdcoFem worked, then it seems that you might have a hormonal imbalance issue. Have you consulted your doctor, again? They should be able to check into things and help you discover what's causing the problem. How old are you?

I want to ask is it safe to take it during pregnancy and what is the effect of the medication on the spotting? ## Hi! Sorry about the issues you're having and I hope all has turned out well. Primolut-N contains a synthetic form of Progesterone and yes, it is vital to maintain a healthy pregnancy. If you've started spotting, it means your body isn't producing enough and your doctor is trying to help you be able to carry your baby to full term by supplementing it back. It's very important that you take it according to your doctor's instructions. I have just found out i am about 5/6 weeks pregnant and i am on rivaroxaban. This will be our 4th child. I have been taken off it as of today and put on clexanie. I'm wanting to know if anyone else has been in this situation and has it affected the baby's health? I know the risk for my self but curious about birth defects and other health issues. I know there hasn't been enough research done but wanting to hear from other parents that have been in this situation. I have seen my doctor and they have given me all the advice they can so please don't suggest discussing with the dr. Found out she is pregnant - she has to stop the inderal and betal blockers. Panado is all that she must drink but our Dr said she can drin stipayne. Is that okay to use please give me advise. ## No, it's not generally recommended during pregnancy, due to 2 ingredients that may cause issues. The first is the Codeine that's in it, taking it while pregnant may cause the baby to be born addicted. Learn more Codeine details here. And the next is the Meprobamate, which has been...

I'm wondering if anyone else out there took this drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding and what their experience was. I know anecdotal evidence is not scientific proof of anything, but studying pregnant women is not ethical. I noticed they just started a provigil pregnancy registry to track women who choose to stay on it while pregnant but I'm guessing it will be some time until we hear any results from that. I chose to stay on it during my pregnancy because I had to work and drive safely. I lowered my dose to the lowest amount I can function on. My son was born completely healthy, very social, happy, no health issues. However, in order to breastfeed, I was switched to ritalin since there is more information available about it and breastfeeding. I hate it... it barely works (I ...

I got poked by a safety pin in my knuckle and it went into my finger pretty deep. I took it out and it immediately was swollen and blackish blue color. It looks like it punctured my vein or something or popped a blood vessel. I have a brand new prescription of amoxicillin, would this help or do you think this will just go away on its own? Also I'm 7 months pregnant, is amoxicillin safe to take with the baby? ## Amoxicillin is a class B drug which means it has been studied in animals to 10x what we give to people and no birth defects have been found. If you were breastfeeding, there would be some crossover as it is present in small amounts in breast milk, but it is one of the safest antibiotics for pregnant women on the market. ## However, it will not help with this type of issue. I am using the nustrate inj., however in February this year I developed a fungal infection. I started taking meds that resulted in me spotting everyday. I don't see my periods when I am using it but recently I was intimate while I was bleeding or spotting without protection and I worry if I would be pregnant cause I didn't test before the inj. again. ## Hello, Dudu! How are you? What medications did you take? Some antibiotics can lessen the efficacy of some hormonal contraceptives, as reported by the NIH. However, there shouldn't be an issue if you only took antifungals. Some antifungals tend to cause spotting, if used vaginally, because they irritate the cervix.

Pls advise. ## Hi. My age is 36 and I'm 2 weeks pregnant. My Dr recommended Aspirin Gastro resistant 75mg. Has there been any change, or issues?

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I have the flu, so the doctor gave me Betamax 500mg to drink 3 times a day. Is it safe while pregnant? ## Yes, the U.S. FDA does not list it as being dangerous, when taken during pregnancy, but it will not do anything to help with flu symptoms. The flu is caused by a virus and an antibiotic is only effective at treating bacterial infections. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Are you on any other medications? Congratulations on the pregnancy!!! ## Here in Seacoast where the winters are damp and cold, I used betamax during my pregnancy. Is it safe for me to take Prednisone tablets during my pregnancy? ## It can be taken during pregnancy, if your doctor feels that the benefits outweigh the possible risks, because it may cause some issues, such as hypoadrenalism in the infant due to being exposed to Prednisone in utero. You can read this Fact Sheet for more details. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, nervousness, and insomnia. Has it been prescribed for you?

I wonder if anyone has had experience with this, as I am receiving some conflicting opinions (mostly from well meaning family of course)! My husband has been taking Pristiq for around 6 months and we are going to be trying to conceive our first child shortly. I understand that as a woman carrying a child, taking Pristiq can be risky, but does anyone know if there is any risk to either (a) sperm count or (b) the baby having birth defects due to the fathers use of Pristiq? ## Hi, Kate! No, most medications taken by men don't cause those types of issues, except in the case of a very rare few. Learn more Pristiq details here. He should double check with his doctor, to be certain, but I am not aware of any warnings about Pristiq. The main issue would likely be due to it lowering his libi...
