Does anyone know of pain clinics that take out of state patients? Also looking to get put on opanas, or something like that. Been on loratab 1000's for 15 years and they don't do the job anymore. I realy hope someone out there knows someplace in GA or TN. Hope to hear from you soon and thanks. ## First off, there are no Lortab tablets that contain 1,000mgs of anything. And next is a question, why aren't you looking in your home state? Even if you do find a doctor that will treat you, when you're from out of state, most pharmacies will not fill your prescription under such circumstances. ## I am looking for a pain management dr in the Saginaw area who takes out of state claims from New Jersey, I' m thinking about relocating from Delaware. I got hurt in 93 and have bn ...

Looking for a pain dr in las Vegas or Los Angeles area that accepts out of state patients ## Unfortunately, that is not going to be possible, now. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need an established relationship with a doctor to be prescribe anything and they're going to require that you live near where they practice. Pharmacies will also require that you live within a certain radius and the doctor be located within a certain radius to get anything filled. Is there anything else I can help with?

Was in a car accident with back and neck injuries. Have been given hydrocodone that doesn't touch the pain. I live in Arkansas and heard oklahoma pain clinics understand and are more compassionate. Can anyone help me and tell me what clinics I can go to to get oxicotin??? I am desperately seeking help. The Dr. I had seen before for pain is no longer in business. ## Most will not prescribe for out of state patients, and most pharmacies will not fill, unless the doctor and patient are located in the same state. It is also never a good idea to seek out one specific medication, since most doctors will see that as being drug seeking behavior. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mou...

Where is a good doctor in GA that will accept out of state patients? ## Hello, Sick! How are you doing? Sorry that you're in pain and suffering. However, finding a doctor that will accept out of state patients isn't something that's likely to happen. Due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, doctors have to be even more careful about prescribing medications and most now require that their patients live within a certain radius of their office. And even if you did get a doctor to prescribe, most pharmacies won't fill it if you and your doctor aren't both located within a certain radius of their store. Do you have a doctor you can see at home? ## Where is there a good Dr.and pain clinic near thomasville ga. 31792. My Dr. I was seeing cannot prescribe ...

Where are doctors who have the guts to give scripts that work? Where are the 30s??? Stop hiding docs and do your jobs..... ## It's not the doctors nor the drugs. It's the drug addicts and dealers is as to why ppl who needs meds for real reasons can't get them. Plus in state of Virginia, all doctors now have to meet with the DEA every six months and go over every patients charts to see if that person needs prescribed meds. That patient must undergo a full pain evaluation once a year for DEA. If their problems, illnesses don't meet certain criteria then dr. has cut them off that drug or lose their lic. ## There are only a few doctors left to prescribe strong narcotics. These doctors are usually in a pain clinic. Doctors are becoming more and more afraid to write prescripti...

It would be helpful to know what part of the country you're in. That said, it's hard to answer your question specifically. However, provide your state and city and someone may know a good pain manager in the area! Have a great weekend! ## What state r u in? I've been on opiates (mostly methadone) for 20 yrs! My dr. Lindenbaum just retired. most of his patients (as well as myself) r screwed. pain drs say I'm on too high of a dose. I'm on 120 mg. a day. methadone clinics people r on 200/300mgs. a day!! I was told Friday by my Pain Management Doctor at my monthly appointment that the DEA was implementing a new law dictating to doctors on how much pain medication they could prescribe per patient per day. It could be equal to no more than 120 mg of Morphine per day per patient and they had to comply within 3 months for all of their patients. I am trying to find out as much information on this as possible. I don't know if my Pain Management Doctor is stating fact or if he is just running scared and if he is stating fact, I don't know if this is federal or state (Alabama) mandated. I spoke directly with the Southeastern division of the DEA in Atlanta this morning and they are not aware of any law of this nature coming into effect and I also contacted another pain clinic locally tha...

I'm looking for a pain clinic in knoxville tennesse with a good doctor giving good numbers of 30mg and 15mg oxy's. That takes out of state patients and a pharmacy that will fill them for me. Can someone please help me. ## In regards to finding a local pain management doctor/clinic, I have listed below a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider ca...

I am currently uninsured, and with the help of an attorney, am trying to get disability benefits. I am in chronic pain (over 20 years) and currently going to methadone clinic. I started at clinic 6 years ago when my regular Dr. moved out of state. He was prescribing me duragesic 75. The methadone clinic is expensive and is no longer controlling the pain. I have fairly recent mri's. Ruptured and herniated discs. and am looking for a pain management Dr. that takes uninsured patients. My disability claim was denied and is currently being appealed mainly due to the fact that my pain med is prescribed under drug dependence guidelines (not pain management). I would appreciate any help finding an appropriate pain management Dr. in the Melbourne, Fl. area.

Im currently in pain. I need to know can I take hydroconde5\500 with cyclobenzaprine? How many tablets and how often? Thank U ## Hello, My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions between these two drugs. The interactions between these two medications are labeled as "moderately clinically significant" so you may want to avoid this combination. Patients that go forth with these medications should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression. Please post back if you have any more questions or concerns regarding this topic!

My neurologist has me taking 1200 Mg of gabapentin and my pain specialist increased that to 3000 Mg a day. Will that big of an increase cause me any problems or side effects? ## Hi Susie, Based on my research, many patients are being told that 1,800mg is the maximum recommended dose for nerve pain. Although another drug article I found states that, "Efficacy was demonstrated in clinical studies over a range of 1800 mg/day to 3600 mg/day. However, no additional benefit was demonstrated from the use of doses over 1800 mg/day." - I'm not sure if your pain specialist is aware of this? Regarding side effects, there's always a risk involved with any prescription medication. But if you're taking an increased dose, it's likely that your risk of experiencing certain side ...

I need to find a primary care doctor in Johnson City, Tn (or somewhere close) who will prescribe my xanax. All of the doctors I have called aren't accepting new patients and the walk-in clinics don't want to prescribe alprazolam ## Your State changed their controlled prescription laws in 2013. Some say its now the hardest State to obtain Xanax and pain medicines due to the massive abuse going on there. ## Well I have been taking xanax for years now. My problem is this... I became personally involved with my last primary care doctor so he had to dismiss me from his practice. He wrote me one last prescription to last me until I found a new pcp but I haven't had any luck yet. ## Can anyone refer me to a surrounding area doctor in Tennessee that will write oxycodone meds? My name is AJ. I've been taking 8mg subutex ( not suboxone) for two weeks. I start the methadone clinic in 5 days. How long should I be off subutex to start methadone? And if I still have subs in my system will I go into precipitated withdraws? ## Hi AJ, It looks like this question has already been asked/answered in several other discussion threads here, so what I'm doing is just linking you to the thread that I feel addresses this inquiry most accurately: Discuss/SETTING-RECORD-STRAIGHT-how-long-after-taking-subutex-can-u-take-methadone-280366.htm This social worker from a pain management clinic goes on to state that patients should wait 12 to 24 hours after Subutex before having Methadone in order to avoid precipitated withdrawals; due to the presence of Buprenorphine, which k...

I take 3 Tylenol 4's a day & just got 7.5/325mg hydrocodone today. Would lortab 10 or tylenol #4 be stronger than 7.5 hydrocodone? I did not get the script filled yet. Thank you. ## Loratab 7.5 is somewhat stronger than Tylenol 4, and normally preffered by pain patients over the codeine in the 4's. The 10's are stronger than the 7.5's. Hope that helped. ## Just wanted to add that according to clinical trials cited on nih.gov, "hydrocodone may be a more effective pain reliever than codeine when it comes to acute musculoskeletal pain. Such results were demonstrated by having significantly fewer treatment failures among patients taking hydrocodone." Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1928881 This information should help verify the statements made by post #1 to be true...
