Hi, I want to thank a lot of the people on this site, I've been reading a lot of messages and replies and it has helped me through a lot of hard times! But here I am after 3 years and I have no insurance because I have been able to work more now and now I am having trouble paying for my suboxone! I started at 24 mg. And now I'm at 8 mg. And getting ready to step down so I can get off finally and be normal! But with all the problems I have been having with paying for my suboxone I haven't been doing too good, going up and down and not having the support that I need through my program has made my life hectic! And the anxiety has been real hell does anybody know how I can get the suboxone cheaper? I'm afraid of going backwards instead of going forward! ## Hi, Have you told ...

If you are prescribe suboxin and at the pharmacy you use your insurance can your parents find out.. I'm lookin to be descrete as possible and I am still on my parents insurance.. If i use my insurance to pay for my prescription will my parents find out yes or no? Please let me know ## I am not an expert, but I think your parents might get a paper in the mail, confirming that their insurance was used. That's what happens in my case, everytime I use my insurance card for subs, they send me a paper showing what it was used for. I don't know if this will help. Good luck to you, God bless you. I wish you the best. ## I have blue cross/blue shield of Tenn. and I don,t get anything in the mail, at least not yet. Been on subs for 7 weeks. I might be able to find it if I went online ...

hi....i am a severe pill popper...generally 20-25 percocet a day...i usually buy suboxone from a friend for when my percs run out, but she no longer has them... suboxone makes me feel better actually than the percs...i need to go on suboxone every day and stop playing around with the percs...but i have no health insurance ...i live in mass and my husband was layed off 4 months ago...does anybody know of any options ? i would really appreciate it ## Suboxone is very expensive and only available from certain doctors that are specially trained in its use. Have you considered possibly seeking treatment with Methadone? It is not as good as Suboxone, but there are many more treatment clinics available and it is much cheaper. A simple internet search will pull up places in your area that provi...

my husband has been taking omeprazole for an ulcer, and to protect his stomach from cumadin. i went to get his script yesterday, and medicare and medicaid isnt covering it anymore... just like nexium and protonix. the price of the script is 407.00!!!! we just dont know where to go from here. is there an alternative med that anyone knows of that medicare will pay for? ## They covered it, until very recently and it is the generic, one of the cheaper medications. You should check his coverage to see what medications they will cover. ## I would be getting your husband to try over the counter Zantac 150mg twice a day. morning and supper and that will help better then the Nexium and Prevacid and other acid reducers. i am on Zantac twice a day, can't take Nexium and others. to many side ef...

Since I am on Medical only I had to change Primary Doctor 3 times because they just don't prescribe Norco for me even I am on this Drug over 4 months now and this is the kind I am able to tolerate.I live in Santa Monica is any Stigma about this drug or what I have no medication I called my Insurrance 3 times what can I do? ## Norco contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone and the latter is a narcotic opiate, so it can be habit forming and addictive. Therefore, many doctors are reluctant to prescribe it for long-term use and, in addition, doctor hopping to try to get someone to prescribe it may give the impression that you are a drug seeker and make them even more reluctant to do so. Why did you call your insurance?

This month my Focalin dosage was raised to 60mg and I had to pay $609. My insurance won't help at all. Is it worth changing my insurance? ## I have no idea what type of insurance plan you have, nor what others may be available to you. I suggest you do some research and see which plans you can get and what they will cover. ## I have my regular insurance from the school distrist I taught in. And I just turned 65: Medicare won't help either. I am still researching. ## see reply 2 to: Focalin And Insurance ## I have no insurance and pay out of pocket. My doctor prescribed me the generic form of Focalin; dexmethylphenidate and it cost $38.00 out of pocket at CVS. ## go figure

What pain clinics or pain mang docs in Knox will. take tenncare insurance and write anything stronger than Perc 10/325 along with something for break through pain. Been in same clinic for over2 years and have multiple neck and back issues along with current xrays, mri etc. If anybody knows where I can check please let me know. Thanks

RX blue cross/blue shield just took ilalda from $45.00 for 60 tabs to $95.00 for 60 tabs. How can they jump almost twice the amount? Then you end up in the donut hole and now its $195.00! I can't afford this amount even with insurance, don't you have a say how much they can charge? ## Unfortunately not. The pricing is solely up to the whit and whim of each manufacturer, and is based on several underlying factors, including supply and demand. Have you thought of trying any 'prescription drug discount cards' or coupons to help take an edge off of that price jump? I was able to find at least a handful of them on google and other search engines. You can just print one out and take it to the counter when you want to fill your script. Another option would be to ask your doctor ...

As you'll know, I have been paying $600 a month for Focalin because my insurance won't help with script cost. No one on this site was able to help, but through my own research, I finally found the one person in Medicare who researched for a program that helped with Focalin! What a relief. Insurance per month @$48 & script $35...hey, that is wwaaayyy better than $600. Thanks anyway for listening. ## That is great news Thana, thank you for sharing this information. Do you have any details which you could post back so that others with a similar challenge would be able to contact them? Feel free to post a reply or a new discussion if you have anything else to add, or any other questions. ## Why waste money on Focalin when Ritalin is the same thing? It just contains the active as...

i currently have no insurance because im full time student but once i do get insurance how difficult is it to get the medication and has anyone received it for free like the company claims to do if u qualify? ## Getting insurance to pay isn't that hard, if you have a good Dr., they will go to bat for you with insurance company.Obviously it's quite expensive and even after insurance pays their part, there's still a pretty big co-pay, mine was over $600 per month per Rx. You can get co-pay financial aid from the medicine companys, I'll include a link to each: incivek.com/copay-assistance-program ribapak.com/support.html Patient Authorization and Notice of Release of Information form They each paid the full co-pay for me, but you can't be on Medicare or Medicade. I am a cancer patient who found out in hospital that I lost my job and insurance. I need immediate help for pain. Have looked for pain management, don't know who to trust. I honestly am begging for help ## I would ask to talk with the social worker at the hospital, they actually paid for my perscrption. Also ask to talk to the financial dept not only for the hospital bill, but also about the meds, your doc, can several times help. And get ahold of hospice, you do not have to be dieing, and they could be able to help. If your doc makes a referral it can help greatly. They, helped me when I fractured my lower back I sincerely hope some of my suggestions help. Forgot one - do you have a pharmacy you have used? They also have connections! ## All pain docs accept cash. You will not get s...

Hi y'all, Like a lot of you, I switched to Minastrin 24 from Loestrin last year when L got discontinued. Does anyone know if any insurance providers cover Minastrin 24? I know you can get the discount card, but BCBS has stopped accepting mine and I'm super annoyed. For various reasons, M24 is the only pill I can be on, so I'm kind of stuck paying $60 every month on top of my ridiculous insurance bill. We are about to switch insurance providers, so I thought I'd check before picking one just in case. ## Hi Janelle, You mentioned that Blue Cross/Blue Shield stopped accepting your discount card, but to my understanding, these discount cards are in no way affiliated with insurance companies, so they should not have any say as to whether or not it'll work - as long as it...

Started suboxone recently and have blue cross/blue shield. Got letter from them saying I need to start councelling to stay on there program. They pick up most of cost of subs. I pay for sub dr. visits, he takes some insurance but not bcbs. Does anyone know about mandatory counceling because of insurance companys, how often you HAVE to go? I,m allready attending aa/na meetings. I,ve gotten on suboxone on my own so it,s not a court thing. Wish you all good luck. ## If you're taking it for addiction treatment, then that is a government requirement that your insurance company is just enforcing, but not something they require on their own. I'm not sure how often you would have to go, but there is a chance that your NA may count, if you can provide some type of proof that you attend t...

Is there any doctor in San Francisco that accepts medical or medicare for soboxine and if so who is he and where is he at in San francisco ## Hello, Virginia! How are you? You can use the search engine on the website, Suboxone.com to search for doctors in your area that treat with it. Their contact information will be provided, so you can call them to see if they accept your insurance. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi my name is Carrie and I'm from Hermosa Beach, CA.. I have been taking oral 8mg suboxone for months, as it really helps me and keeps me from popping 40 vicodin or norco's a day. I was on cobra with Blue cross when I began taking it, but it was too expensive. The cobra was 600 a month. Do you know of any independent rx coverage for suboxone? Right now i just paid 400 for 90 of them, and that's a one month supply. I'm better off taking the vicodins. I am disabled, but haven't gotten approved for medical yet. I have no insurance. If you have any suggestions, please help me, best regards. ## I am not sure if there are any assistance plans that cover it, or not. Tenncare has completely stopped paying for the strips so now theyre paying for bunavail. These are nasty. Guess theres gonna be lots of complaints. ## Yes, I feel your pain. I may sound crazy, but I do not think it fair that TN care can make a deal with one company. I am on a low dose so they let me have the option to stay on strips and pay cash. That's what I'm doing for now. I wish I could just quit but I have tried and it seems to hard to me for now. The clinic says I'm sober....I feel like its cheating to say it and be on suboxone. ## I agree with you Shelley, that if any sort of substance is that difficult to kick, I too would feel like I was cheating by not being sober (which could defeat the purpose of taking suboxone anyway). Who would've thought a drug that is u...

I am 31 and have a life insurance policy where I am a "non-smoker" (I know, bad move) I want to get Chantix and quit smoking, but am worried that my life insurance company can find out about the prescription and deny any future benefits should i kick the bucket. Any truth in this? I realize this question is very off topic, but couldnt find an answer anywhere. Thanks in advance. ## I think It's probably going to be rather difficult to give a completely accurate answer to this without actually working for the insurance company and having access to their list of policies. Honesty is always the best policy in my opinion, since things do eventually come full-circle if you believe in karma. Not to say that this is a bad thing, but I'd probably use other more natural methods to...

I share a sharp warning for those of you who might be considering Cigna Insurance. As a retired health care worker, and now one of the insured, I would like to caution all readers that Cigna, is without doubt, employs unethical tactics to its clients who are already insured. Last year, I enrolled, in what looked to be, one of the best out there; this year, my experience is anything but straight up, provides confusing information from its phone reps, and deceitful in its practices. I have never, in my life, been openly critical of any insurance company. As in all contracts, the bottom line is to read between the cracks.. I am waiting to see just how extensive this crack will be next month. This year, my father passed away in the middle of the enrollment period. Never really thinking that th
