are there K/8 patches I have never heard of them ## Hello, Ash! How are you? I assume you're asking if they are Oxycodone patches and if so, no it is not available in a patch form. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

The doctor is giving me buprenorphene without the naloxone how strong is it? ## Hello, Hippy Chick! How are you? Buprenoprhine is a pretty strong opiate, it's what's used in Suboxone and Subutex to treat drug addiction, because it is strong enough to prevent withdrawals from other substances. Learn more Buprenorphine details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The only thing you can really do is try it and see how well it works for you. Are there any other questions or concerns?

HEY DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANY PAIN PATCHES THAT START WITH THE LETTER N ## Hi Wormie, Based on my research, Norspan patch (buprenorphine) is the only relevant match I'm finding that begins with a letter N. The manufacturer advertises it towards treating chronic severe pain when lower doses of strong opioids are being considered. However, further notes from the Rational Assessment of Drugs and Research (RADAR) suggest that more familiar opioids such as morphine are generally more preferred for managing chronic pain since they also tend to offer a broader range of dosages and formulations. I hope this helps!

I see a pain management Dr for chronic pain. I've had a very difficult time in finding the RIGHT medication for this. I recently had my 2nd disc repair surgery on my neck and I've made sure to follow all protocols with prescriptions between my pain management Dr and my surgeon. My biggest issue right now is that I've been taking Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 7.5/325 in liquid form. Today my husband took me in for a follow up appointment and we found out that this medication is no longer available in the liquid form. I take the liquid form because of a poor absorption issue with my stomach after having a bad gastric bypass surgery (while I lost a great amount of weight my stomach is totally screwed up now). I'm allergic to morphine & dilaudid. We've tried patches too ...

I am on 100 MCG Duragesic Fentanyl Patches. I wear 1 every 48 hrs. I called my prescription insurance company to ask how early can I get a 20 day supply filled. They said that I can fill it after I have used 75% of the script. How many days early is that? ## Hello, Robin! How are you? 75% of 20 days would be 15 days, however, if you're having it filled at a regular pharmacy, since it is a controlled substance, they may not fill it that early. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

What doses do morphine patches come in and do morphine patches actually exsist. ## Hi. I know there is a strong opiod patch called Fentenyl. The available dose varies and I was told that this is the strongest form of opiod available. I was prescribed for a while and the patches last for 48-72 hrs before you need to change to a new one. Very easy to tale and I felt the least amount of paincompared to other types. I I've in V an ad a but I've read that Gentanyl with slight differences is in the USA as well. ## @Darby (original poster), I personally haven't heard of Morphine patches and do not think they exist. If they do make them, drug companies certainly aren't making any effort to market them. Post #1 had mentioned Fentanyl coming in the form of an opioid patch, and I b...

I am currently using Norspan patches for the treatment of chronic pain, I am moving to Beijing China and dont know if I can have this medication prescribed in China. Is Norspan available in Beijing China? ## Norspan contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, a very potent narcotic used to treat severe, chronic pain. And, as to what's available in China, I am sorry, but I can't find any information on it. Most other countries are not regulated as strictly as the U.S. and Canada, so it can be very difficult to find such information. Have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist if they have any information? ## Jane says that she has since heard from the pharmaceutical company and they have advised that Norspan is not available in China. Thanks for your replies.

does the phentol patch contain methadone? ## I'm sorry, did you mean Phentol, which refers to Phentolamine and is used to treat hypertensive emergencies or did you mean Fentanyl, which is a narcotic to treat pain? Neither one contains Methadone. Fentanyl contains exactly that, it is the active ingredient. It is a narcotic used to treat chronic pain. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. ## Hi, very informative , I appreciate the comments. I recently was told by a pharmacist that I might check into phentol patches for cancer pain, so it will not cause constipation. ## Do not do patches if u have done methadone or any other medications or opioids u will O.D trust me I speak from experience.

A time releasing patch for pain/.525mg .wprm fpr 72 hours. Does this have coedine in it? ## No, no codeine, though it is a narcotic from a related opiate family. Duragesic is actually the name of the drug. This is actually 80 times stronger than morphine, and these patches cannot be used more frequently than every 48 hours at the prescribed dosage. They are generic for Fentanyl patches. Fentanyl Info Click Here ## These patches were prescribed by my doctor for all over body arthritis pain and fibromyalgia, since there are no arthritis drugs on market I can take. I was on vioxx and Bextra for years, but no longer. I also take Mobic, 2 Darvocets per day, but the patches cause severe itching, which is why I am asking about the codiene content. I had to remove the patch. Are you sure they a...

My Dr has moved. I am now without a Dr for my patches...I only have 4 left. Two Drs I went to do not prescribe. Please help. Thank you... ## Hello, Jeri! How are you? If you require such a strong narcotic for pain management, you'll need to see a pain management specialist and if you're going to doctors and just asking if they'll prescribe it, they'll usually see that as being drug seeking behavior and just tell you no. You need to see a new doctor and basically let your medical records speak for you. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I went to a pain Dr. She was the worst Dr I have ever...

Hi I'm on 100 I do know when they run but they don't desalt seem to do much what is better then this for osteo pain? Thanks ## Fentanyl is the strongest narcotic opiate available on the market, it is over 80 times stronger than Morphine. Learn more Fentanyl details here. How often do you change the patches? What other medications have you tried? ## I hope by now you've found a medication or mixture of meds that are helpful. As there are too many people handing out bad information & using these sorts of places to find drugs, it's not proper to ask for names of "better" medications. There are medications stronger than fentanyl & for osteo pain; a mix of NSAIDs & narcotics, as well as physical therapy & exercise, have been proven to be most beneficia...

How many percocets equal the 100mcg patches changed every 48 hours ## Hello, Tina! How are you? Fentanyl is the most potent opiate available, so you'd actually need several hundred milligrams of Oxycodone to equal a 100mcg patch and you can't take enough Percocet to be equal to it. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, you'd overdose, especially on the Acetaminophen, before you ever reached the same level of efficacy. Even if you tried to space it over 2 days, as you would the patch. The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Has your doctor switched you form one to the other? ## okay? I have a question on pain ...

I had a 5 mcg patch for one week..no good I have had a 10mcg patch for 3 days..still have pain but have side affects badly I want to stop using them. Please give me a run down on how to come off slowly: as in.. can I replace the 10 with a five , for how long, what next ## Hello, Graham! How are you? How long have you been using any type of opiate pain relief, such as this? If you've been taking opiates for a long period of time, then you'll likely need to taper very slowly to minimize the possible withdrawal symptoms and rebound effects, as directed by the FDA. However, if this is the first one you've tried and you've not been on it for that long, you won't need such a long, gradual taper. The FDA lists this as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to b...

I'm on my 5th week of the 10mg patches. I have no side effects, But it doesn't take my back pain away. It does help. I was on 30mg oxycodone 4 times a day. It did take the pain away. But I lost 35 lb and I didn't have 35lb to lose. I looked like a scare crow. I couldn't eat. I told the pain Dr. to get me off the Oxy. He gave me methadone to get off. It took a month. I go back to the pain Dr Tues. I want to try the Butrans 20. I hate to see the cost. I paid $239.00 for the 10s. ## Hello, Dal! How are you? Have you considered trying the Fentanyl patch? I took a 12mg suboxone yesterday early am. When can I take my 25mg fentanyl patches?? ## Hello, Jennifer! How are you? Usually, you need to wait about 3 days, due to the Suboxone blocking the action of other opiates, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Suboxone, subutex, nor any form of buprenorphine will block Fentanyl. Fentanyl has a higher affinity for opiate receptors. I know this because I am on Belbuca (was on subutex) for chronic pain. I've taken all forms of opiates that exist! I don't want to be on oxycodone or any othe...

I was prescribed fentanyl patches in May of 2010. I never opened them, and want to know if they would still be good. ## What's the expiration date on them? Fentanyl is a narcotic and it doesn't become dangerous if it is old or expired, but it can lose effectiveness and since the patches are made with a type of gel, it might have started to solidify a little, which means you would absorb less of the medication. Common side effects to these may include: nausea, drowsiness, constipation and dizziness. Learn more: ## I have fentanyl 50 mcg. Patch That are 2 yrs expired and was wondering if they will still be as potent as intended ,they are not the gel btw.. ## I get 10 mcg/hour butrans patches from my dr. How many mg is that an hour?

I am currently taking 40mg oxycontin 3 tds for failed spinal fusion. Have been on same dose for 5 or so years but now they dont help much so I am considering changing to patches. Will I have to come crashing down if I change or will the fentonyl stop the crash during change over?It is a daunting thought to come down as I did trying jernista and couldnt cope with pain also. Any feedback greatly appreciated. ## Sorry about the pain you're in! The Fentanyl should prevent any withdrawal effects, because it is actually stronger than the Oxycodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Has the Fentynol patches changed? I'm on 100mg and I use to see a gel substance in the patch. Now with 2 different brands, neither have the gel, and both have NOT worked as well controlling my pain. Any info? ## Hello, Sammy! How are you? Not all of them use the gel formulation and whichever one your pharmacy carries may vary from month to month, depending on which manufacturer was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their supply. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
