Dear Sirs, I will express my medical story what happened to me since Nov. 1998 when I had my fist car accident at 5.30 am going to work when two young ones send me off the 2 lane road and scratch my car all the way across. Was a phone nearby and I did call 911 and told them what happened. The same time the two young ones did called 911 further up and the police came from their side first and after to me. They did ask me to take me to the hospital when the ambulatory service came and everybody else but I did refuse because I had no insurance that time. I did got a Doctor to help me with massages for six weeks and after that I did returned back to work. A week later as I remember I did pic-up two ladies from the airport and I did called the office that I am on my way in . The office was 2...

My sister took a 65mg Darvon little pink capsule. She was frantic with pain from a toothache. I am stressed.. it was from 2010.. Is it ok..? She seems fine, but I know they are discontinued! ## Did she suffer any adverse effects? She will most likely be okay, but should make sure to inform her doctor that she took it. They were pulled from the market due to the fact that they were found to cause a high risk of cardiac dangers, as well as an inordinate number of overdose deaths. However, the cardiac problems usually only occurred while someone was taking it and they resolved upon discontinuation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipat...

Can i take Nyqil Severe Cold and Flu with CTM 4mg tablet ## Hello, Esther! How are you? You likely shouldn't mix them, since the Nyquil also contains an antihistamine, you'd basically be doubling up on it and that could result in overdose. The Nyquil contains Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Doxylamine and Phenylephrine, so it really contains all you need, if your doctor approves of you taking it. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, nervousness and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I need a Doctor that will prescribe adderall or other ADHD medications in Portland, OR. I had a script before I moved here, but no luck finding a doctor that will let me have my script again. I really need this medication. I do not abuse it, but recently I've had a terrible time with Care Oregon. I'm willing to pay out of pocket, but some psychiatrists still will not even take an appointment with me bc I'm in the system under Care Oregon. In Arkansas, it was no problem. I had medicaid. My medicade was smoothed over due to the affordable care bs and it has been a year of red tape. I'm moving back to California and I am sure it will be very difficult there as well. Anyone know what I should do? I am thinking that I should schedule an appointment with a private practice and...

I've been taking 50mg for about a week but my pain has gotten worse. I went to my dr. today and he told me to start taking 150mg. I take trazadone, gabapentin methocarbomol. I'm afraid to take these but can't sleep without them. Do you think I'd be safe to take them? My last dose of nucynta was at 6pm. I'm not experiencing any effects ## Hello, Sandi! How are you? You should take what your doctor has prescribed for you, unless he has instructed you to stop taking them. It may cause you to experience more drowsiness and dizziness than usual, combined with the higher dose of the Nucynta, so you should be aware of that. As to any warning signs, if it is possible too much, the dizziness and drowsiness with become severe and you may also start experiencing shallow breathin...

I understand that it is alright to take Tylenol when on Warfarin which I am doing but for awhile taking Tylenol did actually effect my INR results and the Warfarin dosage had to be altered accordingly. I have been diagnosed with Bursitis and the Tylenol is not helping at all but I hesitate to try any other pain medication if there is one that is compatible with Warfarin. Seems to me when on Warfarin there are so many limitations. ## There are others you can try, if your doctor approves, they just have to be ones that don't cause additional blood thinning, such as Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Morphine, or other opiates. The NIH warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Only your physi...

For the past 4 days except for today I have been taking 8mg of suboxone, today I took 3-7.5 mg of Vicodin to no effect I'm guessing because of my blocked receptors, I'm looking to just continue my suboxone use, do I have to wait even though the suboxone already blocked everything, or will I go into precipitated withdrawals because there are opiates in my system? Thx ## @Curious, If you haven't received any kind of effect from taking a single vicodin, my opinion is that you should be fine to continue using suboxone as you were. However because I am not a doctor I would still encourage you to seek professional medication advice regarding this just to be on the safe side. There are also those here who have a lot of personal experience switching between the two and can offer a m...

Ihave been taking xanax the past 18 years only as needed. This medication not only helps with my severe anxiety and anger problems. My current doctor for the past 2.5 years has been giving me xanax to take twice a day for a 30 day supply and this usually last me about 6months. Well my PCP has been instructed by his NP that new guidelines state he cant prescribe xanax but klonopin is ok. Is this truely a guidline in MS or simply a recommendation? As I can not find any literature confirming this. Although the klonopin is working ok it takes hours for my anger to subside when it would be immediate with xanax. My other complaint is that klonopin has a longer half life and remains in my body longer than xanax causing me to be extremely sleepy the morning after taking the klonopin but never h...

I am very worried about size effects would. Like to know if other people are taking it and if they are comfortable with it ## Hello, Silver star! How are you and your husband? He should consult his doctor regarding his low heart rate, it may be indicative of a problem and is usually included in the warnings that come with this medication. As to whether or not others are comfortable with it, it varies from person to person and usually depends on whether or not they experience a lot of side effects. The FDA lists the typical ones as possibly including nausea, blurred vision, sweating and weakness. What side effec...

I went back and she put me on benzonatate for a cough OK my question is I think I'm trying to catch a cold, is it safe to take night time cold and flu med. With the other meds I'm taking? ## Hello, Patricia! How are you? It depends which medication you want to take, not all of them contain the same ingredients. For instance, many of them use Diphenhydramine in the night time ones, which could be too sedating if taken with the other medications. Can you please post back and clarify? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Zolpidem as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects. PUT ME ON PLAQUENIL, EVEN THOUGH I WAS ADAMANT THAT I WANTED TO TAKE ATABRINE BECAUSE IT WORKED SO WELL FOR ME THE LAST TIME I HAD A FLARE. HE AT FIRST SAID THAT HE HAD NEVER EVEN HEARD OF IT BEFORE. I WAS STUNNED. I WAS EVEN MORE STUNNED WHEN MY DOCTOR, (YES, IN CASE YOU ARE WONDERING, HE IS A RHEUMATOLOGIST) NEVER EVEN TRIED TO GET IT FOR ME. HE SAID ITS NOT AVAILABLE. I KNOW THAT THAT IS NOT TRUE, I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET IT. ANYWAY, THE PLAQUENIL IS NOT WORKING, AND I AM GETTING WORSE. i have degernative done disorder n crushed back n neck n need help w low cost doc that will help me w my pain ## Hello, Margie! How are you? I am so sorry that you're in pain. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing what the doctors in that area charge for an office visit. If you require controlled substance medications on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, due to the new regulations that were put in place this year and they are not usually cheap. Do you have any large hospitals near you? If so, you could call and see if they have a social work department. The people in those departments keep lists of resources and doctors just to help people like you that don't have insurance. Does anyone know go a d...

How are you? Why are you leaving your current doctor? Due to the new regulations that were put in place, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see specialists. Can I use Jadelle whilst I am on BP medications Enalapril 20 mg and Ridaq 12.5mg once a day? ## Has your doctor approved your using it? Since it contains only a form of Progesterone and it does not usually cause blood pressure issues in most women. It's usually the ones that contain estrogen that cause blood pressure and heart rate elevations, according to FDA reports. However, the final decision is always up to you and your doctor as to its safety for you. Is your blood pressure under control taking these medications? ## Yes my blood pressure is controlled and I once it for 5 years but that is before I was diagnosed with hypertension. Thank you very much for your assistance and advice I really appreciate it.
