KNOXVILLE tn dr named dr. Sarlo on Asheville hwy ## I posted about this doctor because he doesn't take insurance and I thought the laws changed on that? I called him and it is $400.00 for you first appt and I can't remember how much after that. The weird thing is, he asked me to bring my insurance cards in and when I asked why since he doesn't take insurance he replied back in a rude way saying " it's my office I can do what I want to do!" I have diabetic neuropathy, lupus, and fibromyalgia. I'm needing a doctor that will write for a long acting med and something for breakthrough pain. I have been taking OTC meds for the last few years for the pain and its no longer working. I've also heard about a family doctor on Kingston pike that treats pain but can not...

Does anyone know of a suboxone doctor that takes insurance? I work and have insurance. I really need help before I lose my job. ## Hello, Lizawood! How are you? You can check the website Suboxone.com click here to look for doctors in your area. It also includes their contact information, so you can call and see if they accept your insurance and are taking new patients. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Have you tried Active Pain Treatment (865) 246-0143. If you go you will be the only insured person than myself going. Expect to go into big time sticker shock, we have BC/BS, and it ran in the thousands. Over $1,000 for 16 ...

very bad panic attacks have had a recent death in the family going through a divorce anxiety depression also have a chronic disease. ## Hello, Renee! How are you? There is no such thing as a Xanax doctor and there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Technically, it can be prescribed by any licensed medical doctor, however, due to some new regulations that were put in place this year in order to try to cut down on improper prescribing and over prescribing, general practitioners and surgeons have new guidelines to follow regarding what they can prescribe. Thus, in most cases you'll need to see a specialist to be prescribed a medication such as this. Do you currently have PCP that could refer you to someone? ## My name...

Today I was informed by my pain specialist in Knoxville Tn. I am being booted out. I have substantial medical proof of need for chronic pain. 5 yrs. of perfect urine , no missed appts. etc. A nurse practitioner pushed my buttons in the wrong manner. Told me I had 3 warnings for short medicine. Highest shortage was 7 pills. I've never asked for and early refill. 2 failed surgeries in my lower back , spinal cord damage in cervical as my arm is numb 70% of the time. I was supposed to have surgery after the holidays to correct this. I am 63yrs. old and without a compassionate Dr. I will loose most quality of life. I am not demanding certain medicines as many do. My daily dosage for 4 yrs. has been 4 10mg. IR Oxycodone and 1 12 hr. Morphine 15mg. 2x per day. Is there anybody in the Knoxv...

Looking for a doc who will prescribe pain meds without too much fuss. I suffer from arthritis, bursitis and sciatica ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. However, the days of doctors being able to prescribe like that are gone. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require long-term, ongoing treatment for chronic pain, you'll need to see a specialist. The best thing to do would be to set yourself up with a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?

I have been on methadone for 10 years and am only 35. I want to come off of it and am trying to find a subutex dr in knoxville tn. Please someone help ## Hello, Traytray35! How are you? Unless there is some medical reason that makes it dangerous for you to take Suboxone, such as being allergic to the Naloxone or pregnant, a doctor is going to want you to go with Suboxone. There is a search engine on the website that you can use to look for doctors in you area that treat with it. Suboxone.com click here, you can search by zip code and their contact information will be included to see if they are accepting new patients. Last Tuesday my (along with a lot of others Im sure) pain management center was raided by the FBI (also other clinics) and the staff were always very strict (Current MRI's, Blood Work, UA's every time) and have always followed the rules. Also (local paper said) my primary care DR.'s office has been closed because he apparently was involved (local paper said he has got a target letter from the government) and Now I'm left with no primary DR. Surely there is a physician that understands Pain "Management" in the area. It is not just providing scripts, U/A's and treating patients like they are criminals. I have been a chronic pain patient off and on for over 20 years. I have voluntarily quit using opiates on several occasions. I remained opiate free each time until the pain really started interfering with the quality of life. I made it over 2 years on 1 occasion. I would like to find a physician that practices true pain management. I am 66 and have little, if any, respect for the fresh-faced PA's who sit behind their desks and threaten to kick you out because a pill count is 2 or 3 short. Sorry, I was in excruciating pain. It's not like I am overdosing especially since their policy is 10mg is all they write...

Im from out of state and am trying to find a psychiatrist in knoxville that can write my prescriptions. I can have my info and medical records sent or faxed. I take Prozac, Valium and Tegretol. Someone please help ## Hello, Shayne! How are you? It might be easier to set yourself up with a new PCP there and then have them refer you to someone. Plus, the PCP could at least make sure you don't run out of the Prozac and Tegretol. The Valium, however, will have to be prescribed by a specialist. The FDA classifies the Valium as being a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Prozac is an SSRI antidepressant and its typical...

I travel every week for work, and will be in Knoxville next week when my script refill is due...my dr knows I travel and provides me scripts to fill when they are due. I have a legitimate script for oxycodone 15mg - I have tried every pharmacy in this dumb town, NONE will fill an out of state script. Anybody from Knoxville able to send me a pharmacy name that will fill out of state script? ## How are you contacting the pharmacies to ask? Due to the high risk of theft, in most cases they will not actually give you a legitimate answer over the phone, even if they will fill an out of state prescription. If you are just calling, they have no way of knowing if you are real customer with a need, or a potential thief. So, they will usually say they won't fill it, or that they do not carry ...

My doctor absolutely won't prescribe anything other than steroids and muscle relaxers. Every step is agony. Does anyone know a doctor in Knoxville who still prescribes pain medication? I have a current MRI. Help! ## Hello, Maully! How are you doing? Sorry that you're in pain. As to getting pain medications, if you require them on a long-term ongoing basis, then you'll need to see a pain management specialist. There were some new regulations put in place this year that severely restrict what general practitioners and surgeons can prescribe, how much they can prescribe, why they can prescribe it and how long they can prescribe it. Have you asked your current doctor if they can refer you to someone? That would likely be the easiest way to get in somewhere and get the help you n...

my adderall prescript ran out of refills from my local primary care and his office is closed today. of course their are no refills and it ran out last week. I need a refill today but no one is open. who can help? ## I'm sorry, but since it is a controlled substance, you're not really going to find any doctor that will prescribe it, without having you as a regular patient and having access to your medical records. If you experience withdrawals, a local emergency treatment facility will be able to help you, but otherwise it's likely that you'll just have to wait until your doctor is open tomorrow.
