I have ben using Omnacortil 10 (O 10), one tab daily for 14 months for RA Factor + with ANTI CCP rate-200. After stopping , I feel no appetite, loss of weight, loss of HB percentage etc and mild fever through out the day. As soon as I again start taking O 10, all my problem vanished. I have been taking Omnacortil 10mg daily for about 2 years to address alopecia issues. However, whenever I attempt to stop taking it or reduce the dosage by 5mg, I experience numerous side effects and the alopecia patches return. I develop a severe allergy that begins in my eyes, my appetite decreases, and my eyes blink continuously. What should I do? Thank you to all who post here. We can't get truthful or helpful support from most Drs. I am in Costa Rica and it is very difficult as I don't have a Psych. Dr. and the GP speaks little English. I have been on AD's since back in the day when there were only Tricyclics. Done them all. For the last 3 years have been on 150mg Wellbutrin and 10mg. Lexapro. my mum is suffering from cancer in the lungs and brain for about 10months now. she has been on omnacortill ever since. the starting dose being 40mg which has now been tapered off to 10mg. for the last few months she has been suffering from sleeplessness and acute muscular pain especially in the legs and constipation. no pain killer or sedative has worked on. she is not very mobile because she was confined to bed for a couple of months and receiving physiotherapy to get her back to normal mobility. can the above symptoms be a result of prolonged use of the drug . why does she actually need to take it and can something be done about it.
