Hyper Tension

Taken for hyper-tension.I wanted to know about its side-effects ## I am using losartan & metacard for high blood pressure and asthalin & budesodine for asthma. Since a few months I am experiencing excessive gas formation, especially in the chest giving pain. With tapping the gas comes out from mouth giving relief temporarily. ECG & TMT were done and found negative. To counteract I am taking Omez once a day since a month but not getting permanent relief. I have no problem of lowl movement. Please adivse.

treatment for hyper tension ## This is a betablocker used to help lower blood pressure. ## My blood pressure soared and my heart was wooshing with a very rapid beat and my head felt like it was going to blow off - I also felt pressure in my neck ... it was alarming. I went to the doctor and had a BP of 170/110 (yikes) ... he put me on BIstolic and 36 hours later my heart rate was down to normal and my BP was 108/70, What a relief. I've had a very mild headache but no other side effects at all.

The Doc prescribed me this drug for my Hyper tension (80/140).What is the function of this drug?To which class of drugs does this belong to? ## Xtor contains Atorvastatin, it is not used to treat hypertension, but rather to help lower cholesterol. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and joint/muscle aches. It belongs to the Statin class of medications. I am a diabetic and hypertension patient for the last 20 years. My glucose fluctuates from 45mg to 500mg. I am taking 3 Insulin injections daily. My doctor feels it may be due to tension and depression and has prescribed "clonotril-0.5" to help me get relief from the depression. I am afraid by taking this medicine that my glucose is getting too low while sleeping. Please advise whether I should take this medicine and whether it has any side effect? I am using Trapex 2mg for last 7 yrs due to Hyper tension as prescribed by doctor. But 1st I was taking one tab daily at night...after that i increasing 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and now 8 tabs at night but I cant sleep. Please suggest me what to do for my sleep and Hyper Tension.

I have been suffering from R Arthritis, Interstitial Lung disease and Hyper Tension. prescribed doses increased from 8mg to Predmet 16 for last two months following recent problem of Coughing. Presently my eyes(bottom lead) swelled , puffed (or puffy) lids. In addition having noted compression fracture in L1 and L4, Osteoporosis?. i am a 65 year old male has hyper tension and is also diabetic had a sever e stroke left sided haeme peresis 27 years back because of severe spasticity unable to have proper sleep feels drowsy during day time. I want to taqke some sedative(sleeping tablet 0 0which will give me sound sleep for three to four hours and is not habbit forming ## I needed one to put me back to sleep at 4 am when I wake up long before I want to. But I didn’t want to sleep too long because I needed to get up when everyone else does. Check out Sonata. I didn’t like it because it didn’t put me back to sleep, but I took the lowest dose. 2 mg I think.

Taking AMTAS AT50mg in the morning. Past 15 days back, had chest pain with BP 100/150 . Carried out all tests., Including Angiography. Diagnosed as CAD to be treated with proper medication. Prescribed Telma 40 with Amlong 5mg in night. No effect, despite new medication. Only AMTAS 50 giving relief even now. Doctors say no. I continue to suffer despite treatment. Is it okay to continue with AMTAS AT 50mg.?

As i have a family history of Coronory Artery diease, my doctor has advised me to take ecosprin-75 mg life long. I have hyper tension diagonised for the last 12 years. My BP is in the range of 140-150/90-95, consistently for the last 3 -4 years. I am not taking any medicine for BP till now. Is it safe to take ecosprin-75 regularly ? My BP remains at 125/98 , pulse rate 100 + on tenolol 25 for past 11 years. Doctor prescribed the above two medicines which I am taking. My wife is a suffering from migraine for the past few months and as per doctor's advise,she is using ciplar 10 mg twice and tryptomer 10mg daily since december 2010. she is a house wife and on a few occasions she had forgotten to put the medicine. After a day or two she used to suffer with severe spinal pain. (just below the neck). Is this a side effect of ciplar or any other reason. I am a 39 year old man and my BP was always 160/100 + but later my doctor said to take Telmikind AM instead of Amcard 5. I also added a new tablet to my daily chart, Trika 0.25 tablet. Now my BP is 119/20 in normal condition, but now I only take these tablets when I need them, otherwise when I feel better I will not take any tablet. I also think the Trika 0.25 helps me cure me blood pressure because this is the medicine of hyper tension and hyper tension is the major cause of my BP. I found a small round pill that's sky blue with p 20 on one side and blank on the other side. The p is located over the 20. I couldn't find out what it is I googled it with no luck. Some say its oxycontin 20mg. But how do you know for sure? Does anyone know??? ## Hi renee - the pill which you are describing (round, blue with P over 20 on one side) is Propranolol 20 mg, which is generally used to treat anxiety and panic. I experience weakness in legs within 5 minutes of walking. The trouble started 2 months ago with swelling of legs diagnosed as edema. I am 83 years old. The physician advised bandage, legs elevation and Ducal in/Eucalmin. No improvement. Another doctor advised leg exercises and Nurokind. I have not tried it yet for I want correct information. I am having prostate problems for which I am taking Sildura as advised by my urologist. Urine passing is normal. Please advise how I can regain strength to walk and whether Nurokind is useful? ## I am 72yrs diabetic and hyper tension. Presently using Glycomet SR 500 mg morning and night 1000 mg feeling weakness in legs and cushion feeling while walking. Can I use Nurokind G once in a day.
