I am taking Verapamil ER 240 mg tablets, Hygroton 25 mg tablets, and Losartan 25mg tablets. My doctor wants me to take these bulky Potassium CL 20 meq ER tablets once a day. Potassium tabs are too big for me take. Will the pills dissolve in water? Any suggestions. Thanks. ## Hello, Jackie! How are you? No, you cannot dissolve them, cut them, crush them or break them. Potassium is very hard on the gastro-intestinal system, so they have to be slow released and specially coated to protect you. The FDA lists stomach irritation and nausea as being its most common side effect, so it should be taken with food. The reason you most likely have to take it is due to the Hygroton, it is a diuretic that's used to remove excess fluid from your body to help treat high blood pressure and certain ot...

What is the proper way to take this pill? Should I let it dissolve on my tongue before I swallow it? ## There are two different versions of Donepezil, so it depends which one you have. There is one that is an orally disintegrating tablet and there is another that is intended to be swallowed just like a normal tablet. What instructions did your doctor or pharmacy give you? Hi, my Percocet prescription bottle got water in it and 40 pills were left in it. Now they have dissolved into mush. If I measure out 1 pill How much would 1 pill measure at? I don't want to take too much at one time and I really need these pills for pain. The strength is 10/325 also. Thank you. ## Hi Chad, Honestly from your description of how they dissolved into mush, it sounds like trying to salvage them may be a lost cause. I'm not sure what good this would do, but if I were you I'd consider taking a photograph and/or any evidence of what happened to your doctor, in hopes that maybe he/she will have sympathy to write for the remainder of the script. If this is not possible, I'd even see if your doctor might be willing to write for anything at all to help avoid/cope w...

What is the correct way to take suboxone pill, white pill, 155 on one side, crescent moon on other? Do you put it under your tongue? Do you wait an hour after smoking, eating or drinking? ## Hello, Based on my research, you should drink a glass of water before taking this medicine to moisten your mouth. Place the sublingual tablet or sublingual film under the tongue and allow it to dissolve. You should not chew the tablet or film, and do not swallow it whole. Be sure to never crush a tablet or dissolve a film to mix into a liquid for injecting the drug into your vein. From what I've read, this practice has resulted in death with the misuse of buprenorphine and similar prescription drugs. Do not take this medication with alcohol. My wife found a partially dissolved (cannot read anything on itl) pill in the bottom of our washing machine. It is the same shape as a hydrocodone although he does take acne medicine that is called bactrim. which is a much larger pill but it could have just dissolved alot in the washer. the shape is similar. I dont honestly think my son uses drugs but I wanted to be safe ## Without any identifying markings, the only way to be sure would be to have it checked by a lab, which can be rather expensive. However, most Bactrim tablets, and its generics, are shaped the same way, so it is most likely that he had a Bactrim tablet in his pocket, intending to take it, but forgot and it ended up in the washer.
