Does anyone know what a good replacement for vicodone since they took it off the market? My dr. put me on norco 7.5-325. These are a joke. I have to take 2-3 tabs when I was taking 1 tab.I am really screwed since I am allergic to codene, morphene, and most things that get me out of pain. I am on fentenal patch, but this replacement doesn;t make any sence. If I have to take 3 times the dosage I'm taking 3 times the acetaminophen. I was on percocet but now my insurance charges 3x the amount it used to cost, so thats not affordable. Any suggestions? Thanks ## Vicodin is still on the market, it an Norco actually contain the same active ingredients, Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. Learn more Vicodin details here. All of these combination medications are being changed, however, to contain ...

I have an appointment with my psychiatrist this week and I plan to tell him about Amneal's discontinuation of Generic Dexedrine ER. That was the only authorized generic I could find, and the only version which worked for me. Now that I can't get it, should I request an IR version, or is there something more appropriate? I realize my doctor is the best person to ask, but I'd like to know what to ask for heading into the appointment. Thanks in advance! ## Have you tried Vyvanse? It's a great medication to treat ADHD. There's also Mydayis that's supposedly a great medication, as well. ## Amneal also makes brand Dexedrine Spansules. Tell your doctor that generic doesn't work for you/causes "side" effects, and have him/her (or the employees in their practi...

Vicoon C literally saved my health. Can't find it anywhere, so hoping to see if there is a replacement for Vicon C that was as good or very similar. ## Hello, Jancann! How are you? Vicon C is just a nutritional supplement that contains a bottle of B vitamins that's used to treat or prevent a deficiency in them. There are many other alternatives available, but the potent once usually require a prescription, since too much of them can also be dangerous. Have you asked your doctor about it? They may be able to suggest something that would be good for you to take. Most pharmacists will also know. ## You might try Z-Bec. This is what my Dr. put me on, after Vicon C was discontinued. Hope it works for all of us!! ## I spent many hours online looking for a replacement for Vicon-C, and ...

What is the drug that can be used in case I am unable to find prexum plus ## Prexum contains the active ingredient Perindopril, it is an ACE inhibitor that is used to treat high blood pressure. While there are certainly a good number of other prescription alternatives to Prexum, there are even more natural alternatives that in my opinion can be just as or more effective than prescription medication if taken seriously. I personally had high blood pressure, but was able to control it by controlling my eating habits and exercising. What works for me may not work for everyone, but my initial advice is to look into natural ways such as: Low/no sodium foods to help reduce inflammation and water retention; supplementation of garlic, as well as calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Eating plenty o...

I am currently taking oxycontin 40 mg and I going from a private insurance plan to a Humana PPO Medicare advantage plan and they don't cover it. Some of the other option they recommend from humana was Methadone, Hydromorphone, Codeine Sulfate, Fentanyal Patch, Morphine, and oxycodone IR. I know Oxycodone is the same active ingredient oxycontin but I also take Oxycodone 15mg for breakthrough pain. It helps somewhat but it does help enough. My good day after taking the medicine and having my spinal cord stimulation implant device on is a 5 but an avg. day is 7.5. To give you a idea what a five to me is I broke both of my arms with one bone poking through was a 5.5 and that is a good day for me. My doctor is very hard to get him to increase my dose. So maybe one of these other medicati...

Hi I suffered a complete L1/L2 Spinal Cord Injury a few years ago and due to the nerve damage I now suffer ongoing chronic pain in my lower groin and acute pain in my legs. I currently take 10mg Oxycodone five times a day with 10mg Methadone once a day for the pain and it has worked very well for me since the accident. I started on just 10mg Oxycodone four times a day with no Methadone and over nearly 5 years it has build up to what I'm now on. Me and my pain Dr always agreed to rotate my pain meds before any one does got too high, so we are now replacing the Oxycodone. I tried Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) for one day and it did very little for my pain apart from making me tired,so I have returned to the Oxycodone. My question to anyone who can help is what do you think is a good replac...

Hello, I too hate the new white norco's. Has anyone found a good replacement with out high Tylenol like the norco's? Thanks ## Hello, PandaB1! How are you? There will not be any available with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen as of the end of this year. Due to the risks of liver damage or failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts, as well as the dangers of overdose, the FDA has requested that all of these combination prescription medications be changed to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose. And actually what this means is that they're not widely available right now, because there is a shortage. I really think that most people are going to have to wait until after the new year to see what's available and which one of those wor...

I' ve been a mess since the change from estratrest ds. I also have low thyroid. I have recently heard that the estrogen directly affects or cancels out to some extent the thyroid replacement hormones. I've gained a lot of weight and been depressed and have been having body & joint pain since they decided to have the pharmacist custom make my hrt meds. now they have changed them again with 1.25 estrogenm 1 mg progesterone (to counteract breast cancer risk), 2 mg testerone & 10 ng DHE (to increase the benefits of testerone without negative side effects) the pharm. said. I was wondering if anyone has this meds and can tell me if it is a good substitute for estratest DS, as I am afraide to take these because it is a different formula. Have been on Prolia for 4 months. Next injection due in 2 months. Scheduled to have a total knee replacement in 3 weeks. Is it safe to get knee replacement while on Prola? Will the healing be as good if I'm not on Prolia? Are infections a higher possibility? Anyone out there had knee replacement while on Prolia? ## Yes, it has been known to increase the risk of infections, including possibly severe ones, though the FDA states that they are usually not fatal. There are many details about this medication listed here: Thus, it would be best to speak to your doctor, as they may want you to stop it for awhile, before having your surgery. Are you on any other medications?

how to pospone ankle replacement until good sucess is evidenced. I do not want repeat sugery 1-7yrs. ## this site is not medical professionals and cannot really advise you as to your best treatment options. However, not everyone requires a second joint replacement, since the materials used have gradually improved with time. Have you discussed these concerns with your doctor? You can learn more about it here; this tablet contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone, a generic for Norco. This is a narcotic pain reliever. I take angeliq daily - I made a mistake and started this months pack at the wrong end.and i have just realised after 11 days. What should I do now? ## There is no different in the dosage of the tablets from one day to the next, unlike some hormonal contraceptives, so you can just continue without any problems and there's no need to worry. They are only packaged that way to try to help people remember to take one each day to try to avoid them missing any doses, but it really doesn't matter which end of the pack you start from or even if you'd start in the middle. Learn more Angeliq details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## thank you that is good

I have used hydrocodone for more than 15 yrs, due to lupus and fibromyalgia. I want to get off it and was wondering: if I go into detox, will they then put me on drug replacement therapy? I take 30-40 mg of hydro./day (3-4 Norco) but I don't go buy pills or dr. shop - that is my RX ## I would recomend cymbalta it works for depression anxiety and fibromyalgia. So it works for the pain strangley enough and puts you in a good mood not like other antidepresants. I would recomend to keep some of the norcos or a lesser narcotic for breakthrough pain for say the morning or night when the pain is at it's worst. ## I've been taking them for 12 years due to lower back pain and pain from Multiple Sclerosis. I take between 30 and 40 mg ( Norco 10/325) but I am more concerned about the T...

Is there a good testosterone replacement drug you can buy over the counter? ## No, there is not, since it is classified as an anabolic steroid, it requires a doctor's prescription and must be obtained from a pharmacy. Anderson Indiana I recently had a elbow replacement surgery I need to find a pain management doctor can anybody help ## Hello, bcmack66! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Have you tried asking your surgeon or GP for a referral to someone? That might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? Another idea might be to try the social work department of your local hospital. They often have a list of doctors they will provide you with.

My mother in law just moved down here from SC. She's in need of a GOOD pain management doctor as she has had 2 back surgeries and has had a broken skull 3 times. She's on SSI and Medicaid. ## Hello, Bella! How is she doing? Since she is on Medicaid, the easiest way to get her the help she needs will most likely be by getting her in with a new PCP, then having them refer her to a PM specialist. Does anyone know of any good doctors in that area? ## I have been on oxycodone 10mg 4×day, for 5 years. I hear that this cream is great for your saggy skin on your neck aka the gobbler. Does it really shrink it? Thanks aunt wee ## Hello, Aunt Wee! How are you? ive been prescribed oxycodone between 5mg up to 30 mg at a time any where from 3 times a day up to 5 times a day. I have a debilitating degenerating bone disease in my hips and lower back have 1 artificial hip awaiting the other replacement ... nothing else helps the pain except medicine that's being highly abused in my area and with recent fear of dr writing scripts its very hard to find a dr who will write them. this has forced me to patron some questionable facilities in the past several years. now im out of options and my family dr doesn't prescribe them. The only pharmacy that I can get them at wont fill them from that dr. what do I do? any ideas where I could go aside from the hope clinic? ## In Christiansburg va there are 2 pain clinics. You can look them up on google.

I have been prescribed Vicodin 10/325 for a couple of years for a failed patella replacement procedure. Now I have to wait at least 90 days for a total knee replacement and the pain is so bad the Vicodin is not effective. I'm looking for a good referral for a clinic in southern NH or northern MA who will prescribe something stronger, like Oxycodone, and not think I'm just trying to score pain meds. I don't want to increase my Vicodin consumption, as that leads to its own problems. Any help would be very much appreciated.
