I too am a chronic pain sufferer, I was in a bad car accident several years ago, all my limbs were broken at once and they used my hip to rebuild one of my feet. I have a GP that has been helping me but now feels she has been letting me use too many narcotics and has abrubtly cut me off. I'm interested in controlling the pain not using the pills but it feels like nobody really cares. Is there any doctors in the Kansas City area who believe in pain management with narcotics. I believe that if you don't understand the pain of the indivdual it's hard to understand why we ask these questions. I don't want to shop for a docotor that's not what I do but what are we suppose to do if they won't help us. ## Hello, JJ! How are you doing? I am very sorry about the problem t...

I live in Missoula, MT. I was at a pain clinic but got tired of the constant numbness I got from the MS contin I was prescribed, so I withdrew on my own. It was hell, I had been on them for 4 years. I somehow thought the pain would go away. It didn't. I have low back pain from two torn discs, stenosis, and a facet joint problem. I'm in chronic pain please help me. I have SEVERE arthritis, and have a 5 yr old back injury. ## I was also in a car accident, broke my teeth, suffered bruises and lacerations, had a painful hip replacement, another one on its way, and am living in chronic pain. Anyone know a doctor that will prescribe pain medication in Mobile Alabama? Suffer from severe arthritis and neck and back problems. ## HI, Daisy! Sorry that you're in pain. Since you're in Alabama, the best suggestion I can make is that find yourself a regular, general practitioner and then discuss the issue with them, so they can refer you for pain management. Basically the area of the U.S. from Iowa, Arkansas and etc. over to the east have all been hit with a ton of new regulations for the prescribing of pain medications, due to the heavy rates of improper and over prescribing that were going on. Under these new regulations, general practitioners are restricted in what they are allowed to prescribe for pain and how long they can prescribe it, so most patients requiring strong...
