They want to prescribe it to me for bad pain as insurance won't cover OxyContin or Codeine products anymore. ## Yes. By all means..being only on methadone to stay clean IS going to save your life not to mention being able to function normally..jobs etc.won't have to EVER chase illicit drugs again if you are serious about staying clean. Don't worry..because I have been on it 35 plus years. No issues being normal if you have made your mind up to stay off the boy forevermore. I have been fine. Now 67. Dr. says it's kept me far younger since your heart rate stays lower. EAT a healthy diet, drink water like crazy, and forget about that old life. Really been a new man. I was in very bad wreck an insurance is not working an need help with pain an provide document ## @Countryblack, Sorry to hear about the wreck you were in. If you need additional assistance covering the cost your prescription for norco, there's always drug discount cards you can use to help offset the price. MedsChat actually offers a good savings card as well that can cut costs by up to 15 - 75% off at most pharmacies across the US. It's not intended to act as a substitute for insurance, but seems like it would certainly be worth a try nonetheless. You can view/print more details about it here: Rx Savings Card One other thing you ought to know is that many drug manufacturers also offer various types of patient assistance programs for those who meet certain income qualifications...

My last withdrawl incident was so bad within 3 days I don't even remember half of what happened. ## It would be best to get medical help, to taper off slowly, that would help minimize the withdrawal symptoms, so they aren't so severe. As listed by the FDA, this medication is an opiate and its withdrawal symptoms may possibly include nausea, dizziness, chills, fever, rebound pain, headache and diarrhea. I kn...

I am taking olmesartan 20mgs and 120 mgs diltiazem per day. Have had chronic, incapacitating leg and hip pain, almost like sciatica, unable to walk, plus a rash on my legs and arms. Stopped dilt for 10 days and pain almost gone. Coincidence or can ths terrible pain etc be related to dilt? Can walk now too. ## Yes, it could be due to the Diltiazem, it has happened to others that have taken it and I experienced such problems myself with several blood pressure medications. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and increased urination. You may want to speak to your doctor about trying a different medication. I need to know how to wean off tramadol without bad withdrawls.please help? ## Hello Marie :) The best thing you can do is talk to your doctor that is prescribing it. They should be able to come up with a good taper plan for you and also might have other meds to put you on to make this process easier. Talk to you doctor about Gabapentin (good prescription med to help you with the restleg/sleep/pain you get at night). Also an anxiety med during the day would be helpful. If you have been ordering it off the internet and/or are not able to get a doctor here are some suggestions. Cutting cold turkey is not advisable (I have done it twice and the withdrawals are awful and can be dangerous) Tapering really depends on how long and how much you take a day, but if you check out this article it h...

I was given Oramoph back in January 2012 for acute pain, but was then managing well with Tramadol so put it in the cupboard, I am now in need of it once again but it says dispose 3 months after opening. Would I come to ay harm if i took it now? ## It may make you sick, as in causing nausea and vomiting. It likely will not work for your pain. Liquid medications have a very short shelf life, that's why the expiration date was 3 months, after that, they lose efficacy very quickly. Learn more Oramorph information here. Are there any comments or questions?

Need one in Pittsburgh, PA for bad back. ## Hi Eleanor, I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in so far as locating pain management doctors within your general area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most usually are. I hope this info helps and wish you goo...

I have oxycodone 10’s (5 of them) and it looks like they got wet or something. The imprint is kind of faded. I can barely see the numbers and it didn’t take the pain away like it usually does. My question is, what could it be? Could they have gotten wet or is it a bad batch from the pharmacy? ## Hi Red, Sorry to hear about your situation. In my opinion I think you should contact your primary care physician since the pills are not working for you in the way that they normally do and explain the situation. Considering your pills are still in tact and the imprint is still legible he/she may be willing to refill your script or exchange them so that you are not taking partial doses of your medication. I suppose ultimately it would come down to your opinion of if the pills are sti...

I filled my prescription at Walgreens, it was supposed to be percocet 10/325. When I took the pill I noticed that I was still in pain an hr. later. So i checked the markings on it and it was marked a333, I have gotten generics before and they appeared to work so I thought I may have been given the wrong pill so I started researching and found I was not the only one experiencing this issue with these pills. I went to the pharmacy the next day and the pharmacist said ACTAVIS is NOW the only mfg. of this pill besides WATSONS which is extremely expensive and explained to me that they are very hard to get now because of one company buying out another and so on. The pharmacist refused to take the pills back She then suggested I call my dr.I then got upset and told her my insurance paid $150.0...

I AM TAKING SULFAME/TRIMETHOPRIM 800 FOR UTI TWICE N DAILY. I AM HAVING VERY BAD LEG MUCLE PAIN. EVEN DIFFICULT TO WALK ## Hello, Mary! How are you feeling? This antibiotic does cause that in some people that take it, along with diarrhea, drowsiness, dizziness and non-allergic skin rash. If you start to develop hives or swollen glands, then stop taking it and seek medical attention, because you may be allergic to it. Is there anything else I can help with?
