I drink beer daily & am taking the diethylcarbamazine 100mg 3 times a day. I have got pain in my left testicle. My doctor suggested ciplox -tz for 5 days (2 per day). Another doctor suggested diethylcarbamazine 100mg, 3 per day for 15 days. My ultrasound scan report shows no problem. How will I actually know why I am suffering from pain in my left testicle? Can we find out through a U/A?

I am using it since last 3 months. 2 tablets daily. ## Hetrazan contains the active ingredient Diethylcarbamazine, it is used to treat infections of different types of worms. As to the side effects, they usually only last for the first 4 to 6 weeks of using the medication, so you really shouldn't be experiencing many, after 3 months. And yes, it may also help with the Chyluria, because this can be caused by the parasite associated with the Filariasis. What dosage has your doctor advised? It usually varies from 2 to 3mgs, per kg of body weight and is taken 3 times a day. Therefore, yours should range from 124mgs to 186mgs, 3 times daily. I have been given this medicine 100 Mg tablet three times a day for hydrocele. How it works for hydrocele? I'm not sure what the relationship is between the indications for this medication and the cause/treatment of Hydroceles, but your doctor may know best why he prescribed it to you in the first place. I am 80yrs old. Have been prescribed Banocide Forte 100mg 3 times a day for increased swelling for old filariasis. Does the medication bring down the swelling in the left foot? How many days should I continue treatment? Does it produce any side effects?
