I am 57 and have been taking coveram 5mg for 6 months. About 4 months ago my face started looking like it was permanently sunburnt. My doctor has taken me off it and put me on Coversyl 10mg. Will my face return to its normal colour and if so how long will it take? ## Hello, Annalise! How are you? It depends on what caused the facial flushing. How high is your blood pressure? High blood pressure can cause that in some people and if that's what caused it, it may linger. If it was due to the medication, then it should only take a few weeks for things to return to normal. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Verwon, Thanks for your reply. My blood pressure was normal whilst taking the Coveram. I have been taking a different bp medication for the last month and the redness has g...

I have been taking coveram for 5 years and would like to know can coveram be broken in half to help get off these tabs. ## I am 79 and have been taking coveram now for 5 years can these tablets be broken in half to help get off these tabs ## Hello, Pam! How are you? What condition were you taking this medication to treat? If it was for high blood pressure, or some cardiac conditions, it may not be safe for you to try to come off of it. In many such cases, there is no cure, only control and management. Why do you wish to stop taking them, are they causing you some problem? The U.S. FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

I had been taking 10 mg Losartan for several years. Checked my blood pressure yesterday and it was at 180/80. So I took one 5mg Coveram yesterday, and today my blood pressure is 117/77. No side effects whatsoever. Coveram 5mg worked immediately. ## It really varies from person to person, different medications work better for different people, since everyone is different. The NIH lists the typical ones for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. How are you doing, now?

I am taking Coveram 5mg/5mg , can I take Viagra or Cialles pills with it. I am 55 years old with good health. ## HI, Adam! How are your blood pressure levels? That is what needs to be looked at, before you take something such as Viagra or Cialis. They work in a similar way that blood pressure medications do, but dilating blood vessels and improving blood flow, thus there is a chance that combining them could cause your blood pressure and heart rate to fall too low and put you in danger. The best suggestion I can make is that you check with your doctor, before doing so, due to the risks. ## Hi I'm Jose can I take sildenafil with coveram 10 /5

I.V BEEN TAKING NOTEN 50 MG FOR NEARLY 10 YEARS BUT MY BLOOD PRESSURE STILL HIGH 150/90. NOW MY DOCTOR ASK ME TO TAKE COVERAM 5MG. CAN I TAKE NOTEN AND COVERAM TOGHETER? ALSO ANY EFFECT FROM ALCOHOL AS I DRINK 3 SHOT OF SCOTCH EVERY NIGHT ## Hello, Sakhr! How are you? Yes, you can take both of these medications, at once. Such medications are often combined, when someone has treatment resistant high blood pressure. Side effects may include nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, hypotension, dry cough and stomach pain. And yes, alcohol can be cardiotoxic, so it could be contributing to your problem and could also worsen the side effects of the medication. Are there any other questions or concerns?

Is Coveram 5mg +5mg Have Any Interactions with Grapefruit or grapfruit juice ? ## Hi Nick, The answer to your question is Yes, One or more of the active ingredients found in Coveram does have an interaction with Grapefruit in general. The interaction mentions that the consumption of grapefruit or grapefruit juice may slightly increase plasma concentrations of the drug; particularly the ingredient "Amlodipine". At this point in time, data regarding this issue has been conflicting and the clinical significance is unknown. Monitoring for calcium channel blocker adverse effects (e.g., headache, hypotension, syncope, tachycardia, edema) is recommended though. I hope this information helps!

I am taking coveram 1/2 of 5mg tablet as doctor was still concerned about BP, I increased to a full tablet. My small continuous stomach ache is now much worse mainly during the night. Coversyl plus did the same and ended up in hospital with acute pancreatitis and that is why I was changed over to Coveram. ## The following symptoms are all listed as side effects of Coveram: stomach pain diarrhea constipation muscle cramps feeling sick (nausea) Does the stomach ache still occur even when you are off the medication? I was thinking perhaps it could have something to do with foods you may have been eating, but those side effects make it pretty clear that Coveram is the main issue here. None the less it's probably wise to stop taking these types of medications in general if your body just...

I take coveram 5/5 for blood pressure one tablet in the morning and 2.5mg doanil for diabatic,I read on the coveram leaflet that coveram effect dibatic medicine .so please advise on the effect of coveram on the glucose level .Thanks ## Coveram contains the active ingredients Amlodipine and Perindopril and taking the Perindopril with the Daonil can make the Daonil more effect, which increases the risk of developing low blood sugar. Is your doctor aware that you are taking both of these medications? If so, they should have carefully considered the dosage and they should be monitoring your regularly for any problems.

When is the best time to take Coveram 10mg/10mg? ## The dosing instructions note that you should only take 1 tab of Coveram once daily, before meals (on an empty stomach). That said, the timing seems to be left up to the patient in whatever schedule works best for you. My suggestion would be to take it first thing in the morning. That way you don't necessarily have food in your stomach at the time. I hope this helps! ## can you drink coveram 4 hrs after a meal or will it be to soon ## when is the best time to drink eltroxin 1.0 & 0.5mg

I am 49 years old, female. I've been on Coveram 5mg/5mg for more than 2 years. Two weeks ago my doctor increased the dose of Coveram to 10mg/5mg, because by bp was consistently high. Now I am having lower abdominal pain (dull pain) after a week of taking it. Is this a side effect? ## Hello, Alice! How are you? There is chance that it could be due to the medication, as reported by the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. However, it would be best to inform you doctor to be sure, because it could also be due to some other issue. Yes, there is a risk, it could cause your blood pressure and heart rate to drop too low, which may put you in danger. You should not combine these medications, unless your doctor approves. I am 65 and have had hypertension treated sucessfully with Ibestartin 300/12.5, Amlodine 5mg and perindopril 5mg very successfully. Six weeks I had an emergency admission to hospital with incapacitating leg pain.and as a result had a microdiscectomy and forminotomy operation which was successful. As i have always monitored my BP I was concerned to see my BP increase to levels around 170/90. My doctor changed my medication to Coveram 10x10mg to counter this in place of Amlodopine and Perindopril, which I understand and agree with. Can you advise when results might be reasonably be seen with this increase in dosage. Also I take Zolpidem 5mg and as this is not always effective am considering also taking 2mg of Circadin prescribed by my doctor rather than increase Zolpidem. Is this a reason...
