I took 2mg of dilaudid following a painful medical procedure. Before my appointment I had taken .25 mg of clonopin in hopes that it would relax me and make my appointment less painful. I was not planning on taking anything afterwards, but the pain was so severe which led me to take the 2 mg of dilaudid. is it like zanax whats the difference? what does it help,,,depression,sleeplessness,what... ## Teva lists this tablet as containing 10mgs of Buspirone, which is actually an anxiolytic. However, it's one that's taken daily, to help prevent anxiety attacks, rather than being taken as needed like benzodiazepines. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is the drug class of buspar related to that of clonopins & xanax? ## No, it is not. Buspar contains the active ingredient Buspirone, which is an anxiolytic. It is in a different chemical class, azapirone and isn't considered habit forming. Learn more Buspar details here. Does klonopin have the same effect as clonopin both 1mg I used to drink a blue pill with klonopin. Think of for example vicodin. Would u call it hydrocodone? Prolly not. Vicodin is like the brand name cheerios vs the off brand cereal thats exactly the same just cheaper. Clonazepam is what your doctor usually will call it over calling it klonopin because klonopin is just the brand name. I am taking alprazolam and oxy and it works to tolable affect. Now he wants me to take clonopin.i did research and it does not coincide with effects of the first two meds. What you really have to do is discuss it with your doctor and figure out which one works best for you. Did you ask your doctor why he wants you to switch? My doctor and I had discussed my quitting taking Clonopin 0.5 mg. as I have taken for so long, so he told me he would submit a placebo at some time without telling me. Got my RX filled and keep sweating and getting headaches. Could this be from the placebo as the pill looks and has the same imprint as the original one I was taking. How can you tell? ## What kind of doctor would do that to you? That's crazy. You should be tapered off any medication like that. That's an entire month's worth of medication. I have been taking clonopin since 1982 for severe panic and anxiety. I take it as needed, but do try to offset panic attacks by taking 1, 1 mg tablet at night. If, and only IF I truly need another during the day, I try 1/2 or .5 mg. If you took 100, 2 mg tabs, it would put you in a coma or worse. My psych gives me the 1mg instead of the 2mg, because less I'd better. It also depends why you're taking it, who prescribed it, are you taking any other benzo or sedating meds and are you trying other methods like meditation and ...

I am trying to wean myself off of Seroquel. I started at 100mg and weaned myself down to 25. It was fine for a while until anxiety symptoms reoccurred. I am now taking about 3/4 of a 25 mg tablet by shaving it down with a file. I also take .5mg clonopin at night to curb anxiety. The problem is that I am waking up groggy and tired, which is weird because that never happened on the higher dose. But If I try to shave it back to half a pill, I can't sleep and experience bad anxiety.
