Is it safe to take 100mg of Pristiq and 10mg of Buspar and 250mg of Seroquel together? I didn't know how much serotonin all those combined would be or if those 3 meds are ok to take together. Thanks! ## Hello, Beka! How are you? Have they all been prescribed for you? Two that can raise your serotonin levels are the Pristiq and the Buspar. It isn't that they can't be taken together, but that your doctor should carefully adjust the dosage and they should be monitoring your regularly in case any problems develop. According to the FDA the symptoms for Serotonin syndrome may possibly include increased heart rate, shivering, sweating, dilated pupils and twitching. They will also be of very rapid onset.

I've had a major double depression for four years. I take 400 mg. of wellbutrin. For the first year this medication was augmented with. .25 mg. risperidone. It saved my life. i gradually weaned myself off the risperidone (VERY gradually!) and I did fine then without it. Apparantely, it was only need to kick-start the wellbutrin. Recently I began taking busperone for anxiety (10mg. twice daily.. very small amount). Since I began this new drug I have developed restless leg syndrome. I don't know if there is a connection or just a coincidence. I am reluctant to quit with busperone but if it could put an end to the RLS I would request another drug for anxiety. Once RLS has been triggered can it be arrested if I stop? I don't like to take any drugs, especially those that are habi...

Hi, my dr prescribed this for me for anxiety. At first I was hesitant because I read about the bad side effects you can get (brain zap, uncontrollable movements, etc) but I have finally decided to try it. He said start off 5mg 2x a day. My anxiety mostly presents itself with racing heart, palpitations, tightness in chest. Does buspar help calm these things down? I am also on Xanax, which helps a great deal, but I am hoping this i can take in the day time to help ease my symptoms. I just am scared of the side effects. Any experience would help. Thanks! ## Yes, it can help with those symptoms, but the only way to see if it will work for you is by trying it. For some people, it is better than Xanax, or other benzodiazepines, because you take it all the time to help keep symptoms under cont...

Does buspars make anyone else angry? ## Hello, Billy! How are you? How long have you been taking it? Sometimes, these anxiolytics can cause symptoms like that for the first few weeks that you are taking them, while your body is adjusting. After 3 to 4 weeks, your body usually adjusts and it starts having its intended effect. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache and feeling nervous/excited. However, if you've been taking it for over a month and are still experiencing this, then it may not be the right medication for you and you should speak to your doctor about trying something else.

Is the drug class of buspar related to that of clonopins & xanax? ## No, it is not. Buspar contains the active ingredient Buspirone, which is an anxiolytic. It is in a different chemical class, azapirone and isn't considered habit forming. Learn more Buspar details here. However, the others that you mentioned are benzodiazepines, which are known to be habit forming and an abrupt withdrawal could also result in seizures. Learn more Xanax details here. Anybody in United States Rx'd these? Im on 8/mg. sl suboxone/naloxone owe day-for 18+ months. Wondering if US addictions Drs. Would consider the switch as I feel I'm getting closer to being buprenorphine free !!! Although not in the near future of 2 months or less. Can anyone relate please reply if so. Thank You all ***Btw*** I am not "after/seeking" 4 patches per month to use and or abuse I am curious if the mcg dosage released in the transdermal patch is a better way to titrate/taper opposed to 8/2mg daily of suboxone. ## Hi Skip, Based on my research, trans-dermal patches are a more effective way of delivering medication directly into the blood stream. Using a patch to taper may be slightly more difficult since you will have to cut the patch into smaller sections and ...

What is the difference between Buspirone 10 MG and Buspar 10 MG and what is Buspirone? ## Buspar is just the name brand for Buspirone. Once a medication is available as a generic, it is referred to by the name of the active ingredient. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I had ben taking Mylan BusPIRone 15 mg. oblong pill (B3). My Dr. increased my dosage to 20 mg, which came as Mylan 10mg's, oval pill (B2) .I tolerated the 15 mg oblong pill fine, but became very sick to my stomach when I took the 10mg. So i’m just wondering if i’m able to take 3 month expired buspar? I haven’t been sleeping again due to my anxiety spiking up super bad at night causing me to have panic attacks in my sleep.. i haven’t been able to go to the doctor and they can’t fit me in until next month but I found my old Prescription that has the date to discard as 2/4/22. Will they still help me sleep?? ## Most medications that have been expired for a short time are still ok to take. Few, if any develop any kind of dangerous issue. Typically, the med begins to lose efficacy. I’m not a doc, or a pharmacist, and I would suggest you call a pharmacist and run this situation by them. ## What Beth stated is correct, this Buspar does not become dangerous, once expired, but it may begin t...
