attention patients taking TOPAMAX Is anyone out there having SEVERE BONE PAIN THROUGH-OUT THEIR LEGS AND OR CHEST?...that is ignored by doctors; who insist is is NOT is side effect from this drug? I AM NOT CRAZY, BUT VERY FRUSTRATED. I am been on TOPAMAX for migraine prevention (low dose of 25 MG) for two years. I started getting bi-lateral leg pain which I was able to tolerate. this was not muscle pain; rather DEEP BONE PAIN IN THE FRONT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. TWO WEEKS AGO; MY NEUROLOGIST INCREASED DOSE TO 50MG. 'OMG'..MY BONE PAIN IS NOW EFFECTING MY LIFE AND KEEPING ME UP ALL NIGHT. I HAVE TAKEN NARCOTIC PAIN MEDS WITH NO RELIEF. I ENDED UP IN THE 'ER' WITH CHEST PAIN LASTING TWO DAYS. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS BONE PAIN AND NOT HEART RELATED. My doctor ordered blood work to ...

is this drug related to morphine group of drugs? ## Hello, Stella! How are you? They are both opiate narcotics that are used to treat pain. Thus, they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have gotten 3 shots ( or six if you by one in each bum) each two weeks apart. I have been having severe muscle and bone pain in my legs as well as weakness. Since I have bone mets to my spine that pain is a given. My doc has me on flexeril as well as pain meds. Does anyone know if my body just needs to adjust to this new med? My doctor won't change until I've had a scan after 3 months to see if it is working. If anyone has any suggestions if appreciate it. I usually walk 3-5 miles a day at my job so I am getting exercise. Thanks ## Hello, Andi! How are you? The FDA does report those as being common side effects of this medication. You may also experience depression, diarrhea, irritability and bladder pain. Has there been any change? Can anyone else that's been on this chim...

I have been advised to take Aztor 20 once daily after dinner. Also Clopilet A 75 following bypass surgery 7 months ago. I have developed fairly severe pain in the bones, knee joints. Can it be due to Aztor 20? is there any alternate drug for Aztor 20, which may not give the pain in bones? ## Yes, it can cause joint and muscle aches as side effects, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, and bad headaches. Have you consulted your physician to see what else you can try? Are these the only medications you take?

i got severe pain in my spinal card if i am sitting continuously.and also at night times i got the pain severely like my bones are pending. in my exray , one my bone is in damaged condition like corrosion but i am just 22 what should i do? ## What has your doctor advised? One thing you should do is avoid being sedentary for long periods of time, especially if you know it is going to cause you pain. Lack of movement will always aggravate these types of conditions and many people let themselves become sedentary, not realizing how much of their pain can be alleviated through exercise and movement.

I was on 30mg of mitprtazipine for 18 months, I came off them at the end if January as I could not stand the terrifying nightmares I was having, since then I have suffered with a fatty liver and chronic lower back, pain between my shoulder blades and muscle pain, have tried all methods of relief, chiropractor , osteopath, massage and all kinds of pain relief, nothing so far is having any effect , would like to know if anyone else has suffered anything similar. ## HI Liz, Sorry to hear about your situation with mirtazapine. Regarding your question on other user's personal experiences with this drug, I actually came across a fairly large discussion thread here talking about the 'dangers of mirtazapine' and how others have managed to cope with it, at: Discuss/dangers-of-mirtaza...

My husband had prostrate cancer which metastised to the bones, ie chest and back, he gets pain and we want to know what tabs to use - have been using synap forte - 2 -4 per day, and myprodol. please help ## I'm not sure what all is available for him to try there, but you may want to ask his doctor if Fentanyl is something you can get that he can use. It is a very potent narcotic pain reliever, which is available in several forms, though it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. You can learn more about it here: How is your husband doing?

Lately, I've been having pain in the coccyx bone after sitting, whether on the bed or a chair. I did not fall down at all. Why is it hurting after sitting for only 25 minutes? ## It is really hard to say, you should see a doctor and let them do a physical exam. Do you sit a lot during the day? If so, that may cause it, since it is not good to be idle too much. It could also be due to your possibly developing arthritis, or some other medical condition, according to NIH reports, but only a doctor can give you a definitive answer. Are you on any medications? The FDA does warn that some can cause these types of issues as a side effect. Do you maintain proper posture when sitting? Soft surfaces, such as beds, are not ideal for sitting on for any long period of time, since you don't g...

Dalaudid is the only medication I have found that helps relieve the pain in my bones from the cancer, and it helps me live a somewhat normal life so I can still get up and around. I am very thankful for it and have had no side effects at all. ## I also take 4mg Dilaudid for breakthrough pain (along with a fentanyl patch) due to compressed nerves and a brain that's too big for my skull. At age 28, after 2 years of suffering, Dilaudid also is the only med that truly releives my suffering and helps me live a more normal life. It was so difficult to get at my age thanks to the people out there who abuse it. I'm thankful that I have it now, though, because it's helping me get my life back. ## Hello Phyllis, and Melanie! How are you both doing? I am so very glad that you've fo...

Bonefos Clodronate

Clodronic acid (INN) or clodronate disodium (USAN) is a first generation (non-nitrogenous) bisphosphonate. It is an anti-osteoporotic drug approved for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in post-menopausal women and men to reduce vertebral fractures, hyperparathyroidism, hypercalcemia in malignancy, multiple myeloma and fracture related pain because of its potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects shown as a reduction in inflammatory markers like IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α...

I am going into my fourth month and the side effects of jo my fourth month and the side effects joint and bone pain are now a daily occurrence. I take 3 capsules daily and I am curious if a reduction to 2 a day would alleviate this side effect. Also other side effects are light headiness, skin breakouts, slight bruising and fatigue. I am an 83 yr old male who for most of my life has not or does not take any drugs except Imbruvica for SLL. ## Such side effects are normal with this class of medications, according to the FDA and you should continue taking the amount your doctor has instructed you to take. You may also experience diarrhea, and anemia. Are you on any other medications or treatments? I hope you experience the best outcome possible!

I just turned 26 and received a reclast infusion 2 years ago (the 23rd of Jan) will be 2 years exact. I'm a disabled vet. Since day once I have experienced severe bone pain. One endocrinologist told me if I were to get pregnant I would be a ticking time bomb. There is not one diagnosis to show how long it remains in your system, that It's all a guess. Nor can any one check to see if reclast is still in your bones. No OB/GYN knew about reclast, or believed at my age I could have full blown osteoporosis. Not could they tell me if it was risky to carry a child two years after infusion. Yet I did my research and it shows In animal studies malformations and miscarriages can occur (miscarriagages are caused chromosomal imbalance) therefore if I miscarried it would make perfect sense i...

Hi, I need to consult someone with knowledge about the physical symptoms following severe, rather long-term Furanylfentanyl / Acrylfentanyl abuse. I was hoping someone around here might be able to answer my question. A little more than a year ago I got entangled in an intranasal Fentanyl analogue addiction (which obviously is the stupidest thing I have ever done) due to a series of rather traumatic events in my life. That addiction continued for a total of some eight months (with a few short, abrupt clean periods in between). In the absolute depths of a deep depression, I finally managed to cold turkey quit the horror med and began a long ascent from both said depression and the unbelievable withdrawal that naturally followed. It has now been six hard months, and I am progressing, but t...

My dad has bone and joint pain and he went to his doctor and diced to give him fenofibtate 48mg, is this good for bone and joint pain and should he take this medicine ? ## Hello, Alex! How is your dad doing? No, this medication will not help with those symptoms, at all. The FDA lists Fenofibrate as being used to help lower cholesterol and it can actually cause those symptoms as side effects, along with nausea, dizziness, headache and constipation. Is he on any other medications?

Hello I have been dealing with pain in my lower back, pinched nerves, broken bones and chronic neck pain. I live in the Boston area and I am just wondering what doctor around here will be understanding about giving pain meds? ## Hello, Jman! How are you doing? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Do you have a PCP? If so, having them refer you to someone would likely be the fast and easy way to get the help you need. Does anyone know any good doctors in that area?
