I have been on Fazaclo for 8 years. I have been dealing with an increase appitite that my doctors says is from the Fazaclo. I fight with food every day, all day long. I gained approx. 40 pounds and cannot get the weight off. I take this med for bi polar. Everytime I try and talk to my doctor he just commends me for sticking with it. I don't want to stick with it. I went off nuzak but at the same time changed from Eltroxin to Diotroxin. In that change I have been putting on weight and my stomach feeling uncomfortable and bloated constantly. Would it be from the Diotroxin that I'm now on and isn't working for me? Or possibly coming off the Nuzak? I get an injection once a month of abilfy 400mg. Is there more weight increase in the injection then the pill ? ## No, the side effects will be about the same. I've been on multaq for my afib diagnosis since April and have gained 12 lbs. in such a short time after just having lost 40 lbs in the many months prior to diagnosis. My healthy eating has not changed and exercising doesn't help to rid the pounds. I can only attribute this new additional weight to multaq. Has anyone else experienced weight gain being on multaq? ## Yes, that is a possible side effect of this medication, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. I have been taking lyrica for 7 weeks now for severe nerve pain. I began to gain a lot of weight immediately but because the drug is so effective at relieving my pain, I was very reluctant to come off it. I seem to be gaining weight. The first week, I had a hard few days adjusting to it, then I got beyond it and started loosing weight , happy. Now in my 2nd week, I'm gaining weight. The Topamax in the past , alone, made me hungry/tired. Phentermine in the past worked but I was used to 37.5 mgs when it was prescribed back in the 90's. The Qsymia's paltry 3.75 mgs is pretty darn low dosage. It's too early to up the dosage to the next level which is fine by me bc. I'm afraid that when I do, the double dose of the Topamax will double my appitite; 7.5 mgs. of phentermine is still so low I'm surprised it's even prescribed. My Dr. just put me on Prozac 40mg. Never had it before. But I'm one who suffers from severe depression, mood swings, ect. When I'm depressed I don't eat, maybe for days. Will Prozac help turn it around? ## Unfortunately, no! Prozac actually may cause more weight loss, if you're under weight. It's prone to doing that, rather than causing weight gain. It may also cause dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. If you really want something that may help with appetite, you may do better with a different SSRI, such as Zoloft. Since taking Piascledine I have experienced weight gain, mausea and headaches. I cannot be sure it is the Piascledine but the other drugs I take I have taken for years and have not had any of these side effects. I have taken Piascledine for four months now for Rheumatoid. I also take Eltroxin and Rivitrol and Oxpolafor for restless leg syndrome.

I take 600 mg. of gabapentin (3) times a day for nerve pain. For me it has been a miracle drug. I do have difficulty if not almost impossible losing weight and have even gained some.
