Tienen ideas suicidas por tomar esa medicación (Xeplion)? Gracias por contestar! English Translation: Do you get suicidal thoughts from taking this medication (Xeplion)? Thanks for answering! ## Yes, that can be a potential side effect of Xeplion, and most other mental health medications, according to FDA warnings. Ref: Xeplion Information However, there is no way to be sure that the suicidal thoughts haven't been caused by the mental illness being treated, or a combination of both factors. Have you informed your doctor? You may need to change to a different medication.

Hi, I was given Invega Sustenna at 100mg a month for 10 months since Dec 5th. My last shot was on August 29th 2013. The medication gave me severe anhedonia and I have lost the motivation and willpower to do anything. I can no longer experience joy, happiness, or pleasure from anything I do and I have no interest in doing anything. I constantly feel restless and uneasy and I just can't shake this feeling away no matter what. All of these started about a week after my first IV. I have been off this medication for almost 3 months now and I have yet to feel any improvements. I have read that it has a long half life of 25-49 days and that it can stay in your body for 300 days. So does that mean I will have to wait a year to start feeling better? Any info on someone who has been off this ...

I am having a lot of secondary effects after stopping invega. 1. anhedonia 2. cognitive problems 3. walking problems 4. insomnia Is anyone experiencing the same? Especially the insomnia. It's almost 4 months without the medication and I sleep 1 hour. Please help. ## Sorry to hear about your insomnia and other issues after stopping Invega. I didn't see it specifically mentioned in the consumer drug information from Medline Plus. However, I did a bit more digging and pulled up the full clinical document from DailyMed, and it states: " Other Adverse Reactions Observed During Premarketing Evaluation of Paliperidone The following additional adverse reactions occurred in insomnia, nightmare 17 PATIENT COUNSELING INFORMATION Physicians are advised to discuss the following issues w...

I was forced 6 injections. I'm dying from it. IT is the worst torturous death you can imagine. over 50 side effects. don't ever try this crap ## Hello, Shane! How are you? I'm sorry that you're miserable. What types of side effects are you experiencing? Invega Sustenna is a very potent medication that's most commonly used to treat schizophrenia and such drugs are well known to cause a lot of side effects. Those listed by the FDA may include administration site reactions, sedation, dizziness, dry mouth and somnolence. ## How about loosing my feet and tinnitus and 100 others now. ## I feel just like you. It's the worst drug ever. I hope we all get normal again. I've been off for 3 months (pure hell). Looking forward to it being out of my system. Anyway, here...

i need withdrawl effects of invega. ## I was on Invega for 5 years. It raised my blood pressure to 318 so I had to stop it. I was on 6 mgs. and was dropped to 3 mgs. for a week and then my doctor told me to stop. I am a recovering alcoholic and street drug addict. The withdrawal was horrendous! I was sweating profusely, couldn't sleep, felt like something was crawling on my skin and couldn't sit still. I also couldn't function properly. I don't know what your doctor advised or what mgs you are on, but I believe I should have been on the 3 mgs. for about 3 weeks and then taken off of it, so my body got used to the lower dosage. I went back on the full dosage so I can get through a wedding I am in that's in 11 days. After that, I am going to talk to the doctor again an...

I was given two shots of invega sustenna, the 234mg loading dose and then the 154mg starting does and it as been the most horrible experience of my life. I curse the doctors who prescribed me this horrible drug. I wake up at least three times per night, I can't focus on anything. I also suffer from severe anedonia and restlessness and have trouble verbalizing my speech when I try and talk, that is the most frustrating thing that I have experienced. I have done some research and many of the people's comments I read said it would take anywhere from 6 months to a year to get the drug out of your system. I pray it is not that long. If anyone has successfully gotten off this drug sooner please email me {edited for privacy} I really need to hear a successful story of someone coming of...

In April 2020 I was put on a community treatment order depot shot of Invega every 4 weeks for roughly 6 months after a month long episode/hospitalisation of drug induced psychosis. I suffered from EXTREME depression, anhedonia, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, inability to function or stand up for long periods of time. After roughly 6/7 months of being OFF the medication I am starting to return to my old self, feeling much more optimistic about life and find myself laughing again (still have the inability to fully cry) but it’s no where near as bad as it once was. This medication is toxic and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, but if you are someone who has been experiencing ill effects, just know that it IS possible to get better. I promised myself if I ever got out of the hell I w...

I have been taking invega 3mg for about a year, and have started feeling like my heart is fluttering. I also got to the point where I felt like doing absolutely nothing, and gained 16 lbs. So I stopped taking it. I am feeling more like myself, but am having some anxiety. I also take 1mg xanax er twice a day, and that does help. I'm also on wellbutrin and lamictal. I don't know why my pdoc put me on it. I hate that it is going to take so long to get this drug out of my system. But I believe that it will be worth it in the long run. ## Hello, Monica! How are you feeling? Have things gotten any better, yet? Invega is most commonly used to treat schizophrenia, but it may also be useful for other mental health issues, as well, since it is an antipsychotic. The issues you've liste...

During this 7 week time my anxiety increased and i had some set backs while at the supermarket, mainly paranioa. I have never heard voices or had halucinations before. When i was first diagnosed with schizophrenia they said it was a mild case of if. The mental Heath Center i go to have my summary listed as Paranoid Schizophrenia type. The last time i told my told i thought my medication was making me feel worse she said it may require hospitalization. In the past I've been hospitalized because i thought something was wrong with me and went on my on will, not forced or committed. This is my story: I've been taking Invega since 2013. I read dozens of pages on the Internet and they say it causes weight gain. I read everything on the papers they had in the medication box when I bought it and it says it causes weight gain. I asked many pharmacists and they say it causes weight gain. I asked more than 15 patients that take medication (same or other) and they say it causes weight gain. I asked friends or other people that know or not know about it and they say it causes weight gain. And ALL ALL ALL ALL psychiatrists say it does NOT! Filthy LIARS! I gained 43 kilos in less than 3 months. I was 68 kilos and now I am 111 kg. Every month I lose 1 or 2 kilos and gain them again. My skin has got stretch marks for more than one year in my belly, in my central body Everyw...

I took a variety of different atypical antipsychotic medications for 2 years (including Invega Sustenna and Olanzapine). I stopped 2 months ago because of the horrendous side effects. I now have chronic fatigue for the rest of my life, accompanied by insomnia and cognitive difficulties. Thank god I stopped when I did because I was starting to get involuntary spasms in my jaw which is called Tardive Dyskinesia. I was hospitalized 2 years ago because of a psychosis and was placed on extended leave of the hospital. I was then diagnosed with schizophrenia. They forced me to be injected monthly with their poison. I was honestly oblivious of the side effects that antipsychotic medications cause, the psychiatrist didn't even inform me or warn me of the catastrophic side effects before pres...

I've been on Invega Sustenna injection for over 6 years. My eyes started closing involuntary about 4 years ago. It happens no matter what i'm doing or where i'm at. I'm at the point where i can barely drive because one of my eyes closes. I've been to the eye Dr. several times and he said my eyes are fine. I've been to numerous neurologist, my first D.r thought it was a condtion called blepharospasm, the last one didnt believe i had the condition and thought it was psychological. My therapists thinks it's a nervous twitch or a 'tic'. I don't know what to believe is causing it but i am blaming my Invega or at least want to get off the medication and see if it helps. ## Hello, Zatha! How are you doing? Has there been any change? I have been taking Invega in pill form. I started at 3mg. 3 months ago. Recently this was upped to 6 and now am taking 9 and finding this very difficult (I hate the way I feel on this drug even if it is treating symptoms) because of the side effects. I know that all these drugs have a plethora of side effects and I hate all of them. But with Invega, will the side effects lessen? How long before I tolerate them or experience less of their misery? Also I am gaining weight and freaking out about my continual weight gain over the last two years. My Pdoc plans to increase the dosage even more; he says the increase will make it easier for me to tolerate the inj. The way I feel now, and the thought of a higher dose has not reassured me that getting Invega as an inj. will be easier. On the cont...

I have gained more than 40 pounds along with misrable side effects no energy or motivation on invega ## Hello, Chrissy! How are you? Those are typical side effects for antipsychotic medications, the FDA also lists that you may experience nausea, somnolence, sedation and dry mouth. Have you consulted your doctor? You may do better with a lower dose or on a different medication. ## Same here!!!! Weight gain and ZERO drive or motivation to do ANYTHING. I must say my dellusions are GONE but it comes with a price.

Well when I was first introduced into invega I had just finished a season of work in a different province and I had moved into an apartment with a roommate who I thought was a friend. Literally as soon I entered that apartment I started hearing voices. (i will say this though. I was claiming unemployment from a relatives address) anyways I move in this apartment and I hear myself being called a confident prick and that there has been a breech. Ironically my roommate was an initiate free mason and as the story goes.. I one day noticed my wallet was missing. I distinctively remember putting it on a stand in the living room and then later falling asleep. (also I was sleeping on an air mattress and not on the lease hehe.) so I wake up and notice my wallet is gone. My apparent roommate whom ...

I have been using invega 9 mg tablet and I suffered from horrible side effects of this medicine like some mentioned being like a Zambia. All I can say about invega that it is good medicine only if taken exactly as it should be. You don't have to follow your doctor prescription if you suffer from side effects try to take half of the prescribed. Best luck to all I just wanted to clarify that I used to take Invega because I used to be amphetamine addicted and the more I used it in time I started hearing voices until it got so bad and I thank God for that; I heard voices calling me stupid all the time from the moment I wake up until I fall asleep which was so hard but I had to drink till I passed out. Then I seriously got fed up and I decided no more drugs and started taking Invega for ...

I took invega once 2 months ago. Now it's thinning the back of my hair. Will it ever restore again? Thank you. ## Hello, Fitsum! How are you? If you've not taken it for two months and only took it once, they it wouldn't be causing side effects, such as hair thinning, now. The FDA lists its typical ones as possibly including nausea, dizziness, somnolence, acid stomach and weight gain. Are you on any other medications?
