Is it Levothyroxine 50 mcg tablet an oblong white pill with a 50 on one side and a GG 332 on the other side? Thanks a lot for your time... ## Hi, CN! Yes, you have received the correct medication. It may be different from the tablet you previously received from your pharmacy due to the fact that there is currently a shortage of this medication. The reasons haven't been given, but the complete supply from one manufacturer isn't currently available. Several people have asked very similar questions. Some pharmacies have been unable to get in any generic supply, at all and have had to provide the name brand. Are there any other questions or concerns?

can Twynsta 80/10 be cut in half and taken as Twynsta 40/5 ? ## From the information I've found, it seems that the tablets should not be cut, the advisory information says they should be swallowed whole. Usually this means that the medications is either time released, or there is some special coating to help prevent damage that it may due to the linings of your gastro-intestinal system. During the late 30's thru the 50's Drug stores sold a medication for pain that was a Red liquid called Red Aspirin. My hometown Roanoke Rapids, NC is the only place I have ever seen this medicine. I have asked other Druggist about this and they had never heard of Red Aspirin. Any ideas? This really worked for headaches. ## You might be having difficulty finding out about it, because sometimes these types of medications are purely regional. Even if it wasn't something prescribed by a doctor, but just something available in the pharmacy over the counter, such patent medications may have been specially ordered and designed by a local doctor or druggist. Back then, there weren't as many regulations and it was quite commonly done. However, when regulations started being enact...

PLEASE HELP :( I'M FREAKING OUT. ## If you are afraid that your life, or the life of a loved one is in danger, you should always contact your nearest emergency services department, or poison control. That said, did you talk to your pharmacy or doctor? These products are regional and do not have the same ingredients everywhere, so I can't even say whether or not swallowing it would be harmful. Have you asked your pharmacist?

I've experienced severe leg cramps during sleep. Eating an occasional Banana stopped the problem but I don't like Bananas. So I decided to try Potassium pills. I read on Webmd that the recommened dosage for prevention of Potassium deficiency is 20 mEq, which brings me to my question. The smallest dose I can find is 99 mg. Is 99 mg per day too much ? I asked the two assistance at the local GNC where I bought them and they said 99 mg per day is fine and that the body will only absorb what it needs. Can ic omeprazole cause one's blood pressure to increase dramatically? ## Omeprazole is a Proton Pump Inhibitor, used to help reduce the amount of acid your stomach produces to treat conditions such as heartburn and GERD. That said, there is nothing listed about it doing this. It is always a possiblity, though, medications do affect everyone differently, but there is no way to say for sure. Have you asked your doctor about it? ## Theoretically, it definitely could. You see, nitric oxide is a substance that the body creates and that regulates blood pressure. It can only be created in the presence of an acidic stomach. Reducing acid in the stomach definitely decreases nitric oxide production and, therefore, can increase blood pressure. See this page to see how reducing acid in the sto...
