White Round Pill With An 627

I just rec'd 30 of these, but they have NO effect. Tooth/gum pain. Am used to oblong tramadol tablets - which, although weak, have an effect on my pain.

Now we're getting these AN 627s. These are like placebos.

Absolutely Not true . Round is a much weaker medication. oblong is much stronger. No doubt!!

I take Tramadol for arthritis pain. AT first I got Mylan brand and put some in a pill pack in my purse. Last month I got a refill and didn't pay attention to them being different but I noticed that they did not help my pain one bit. I took another one still didn't help at all. After examining the pills I noticed that they were marked AN 627. I took one from my purse pack marked with an M and it worked just fine. I don't know about other people but the ANMEAL brand does not do anything for me.

I can tell you this is not true. I started out taking a generic from another manufacturer which I had been taking for several months which would build up my tolerance, and when I was switched to another brand, it knocked me for a loop. They are much stronger, and I will likely be breaking them in half. I have also heard that the standard manufacturer's must follow is not all that strict in my opinion as they are allowed a variance of 20% in either direction (weaker or stronger.) So in theory, if you start off on a weaker one, 20 percent less effective, and then switch to a brand that is 20 percent more effective, it is almost like getting a double dose! PLEASE BE CAREFUL when your medication is changed to a new manufacturer!

All medicine are made by different companies and some work better than others and Tramadol are the lowest on the narcotic list. I believe they affect your memory and make you forget things. They worked for me the first time i took them back in 2005 after i had cancer surgery, but they don't do anything for my pain now. The doctors wont give me anything else now because they know that I'm a recovering addict for 16 years now so they let me suffer and they have all kinds of proof that i have chronic pain 24/7. They don't give a s***. I need surgery but they say they have to get my sugar under control because I'm a diabetic.

Don't take these pills they're probably an opioid or amphetamine antagonist the whole generic drug market is a scam double crossers are skimming the real stuff

I took tramadol with tv on them back in 2005 for my pain for a few years and they worked,but
they don't work now for my shoulder pain.Some brands work different i recently tired Tramadol 50mg
with AN 627 releives my pain it takes a little longer and i take 2 or 3 like you said the VA give these
I think they are better and last longer.

I completely agree about these bogus AN 627's. I take tramadol as prescribed, one 50 mg tablet twice a day, for degenerated discs in my lower back. The only generic I've ever had were the white round 319's, which were excellent at controlling the 24/7 pain in my back.

About a week ago, I transferred my prescription to CVS and picked it up - I didn't notice the inscription being different, but I *did* notice that after over two hours this pill hadn't touched my pain.

I dosed a second time 8 hours later, and again...nothing.

That's when I noticed the inscription was different - AN 627 and it was made by a different manufacturer (Amneal). All of these comments are completely valid; this may as well be a baby aspirin (the baby aspirin would probably be more effective).

I have l4 l5 disk degeneration n was given an 627 will this help at all? My left leg n foot are the worst n have been taking ibrofrin which doesnt eveb dull the pain. Hurts to walk stand lay. Im a mom of 2 n i dnt feel like a function parent at all. Thnk you

I also do not like the An..round pills..the oblong or ovals seem to work better. It seems you have to take more of thm round pills...I agree.

Tramadol is the F.D.A / D.E.A. equivalent of anything that would really kill the pain , It does naught do anything to moderate to severe pain , whoever they had do their testing didn't know what REAL PAIN is ! Most doctors still don't have a clue .The Government Drug Dealers (the V.A.) had me on 220 mg of morphine 2x a day , I got tired of feeling like a Government supplied JUNKIE ,so I quit , cold turkey & I don't regret doing it . From this point on , IF GOD DIDN'T MAKE IT , I'M NAUGHT GOING TO TAKE IT .

listen people, tramadol is an opiod agonist, it is not a real pain killer, nor is it a real opiate. it is a synthetic agonist, not a true opiate. therefore it does not do squat for pain, but it can get you addicted to it, and you will have withdrawl symptoms the same way you would with all opiates. as for generics, they have to be within 3% of the advertized strength on th bottle, so for 100 mg, they have to be within =/- 3 mg tolerance. you would not notice the difference. and for you people who think that you are felling a difference, it is all in your head. tramodol is a pos drug and should not be taken by anybody for anything. it is what doctors give people who have addiction problems with opiates, or they dont really believe you are in pain. and trust me, most of them dont, they see people with pain as seekers, so if you really do have chronic pain, go see a pain management doctor so you can get some help

Tramdol is popular with the V.A. so I know it well. It does have a strange side effect for me. It works on the fear centers of my brain. It is good for nerve pain but don't go see a scary movie.
