I have taken 35mg of methadone today, and i have a urine drung test coming up, how long will it take to get out of my urine?

Actually, It stays in a lot longer than that, It can show for up to two weeks, depending on your metabolism !!!

hey what if I just took 10mg and its been three days but its the first time I have done it for months?

I took methadone for 5 yrs and jumped off 30 and did a cold turkey, it wasn't pleasant, the only aid I used was for diahorea. After 8 weeks a reasonable nights sleep came and after 10 weeks I started to come good with no more sweats. I also moved away to do this, I will never take methadone again but I did appreciate it for when I needed it.

Hunny hate to break it to you but "your husband didn't drop meds in the toilet" he either double or triple dosed on his meds or either sold some of them. He very well may be in pain I'm not saying he's isn't. Just by what you said he's an addict and that's the hard truth. For one you said he took the methadone for the withdrawals to subside, someone who truly takes pain meds bc they are in pain...... They take it to help the pain not subside withdrawal symptoms. I was an addict for 10 years had 7 back surgeries and was on all types of pain meds..... When I was in pain and already took my meds for the month it's hard to tell the pain from withdrawal. Another thing is why is he taking them standing right over the toilet unless he is sneaking a few more or hiding them from u that he is taking more...... He might dropped them down the toilet but hunny I promise you he's hooked on them to get high not to get out of pain. I'm just saying this to help you and him out bc it's the hard truth and it will eventually ruin his life and yours as well if it hasn't already. Type back on here in a year or so and tell me if it hasn't went downhill since then bc I promise you it will ...... It always starts as I dropped mine in the sink or down the toilet. Either way hunny OxyContin has a coating on it ..... The new ones the old ones it doesn't matter they have a coating on it bc OxyContin is time released ....... Oxycodone is instant release ..... The same drug that's in OxyContin except oxycodone is instant release. All he had to do was grab them out of the toilet real quick and just wipe them off...... It takes them 30 plus mins to dissolve in water. I'm telling you that's the addict brain at work telling you he lost them all down the toilet...... Get him help he needs it, or next month it will be someone stole them or the sink story or I left them in the hot car all day and they are ruined...... I have been clean for 3026 days and hunny believe we as addicts are master manipulators and we can do anything to get high and that means lie steal cheat ...... Anything ....... Just food for thought ...... I hate to see another couples life ruined by them damn pain pills

Propoxephene (active chemical in Darvocet) is structurally very similar to Methadone (Dolophine). Whether it could be construed to BE the same via a drug screen, I don't recall this ever happening.

I went to a detox left after three days I took methadone there and I ended up going to a methadone clinic two weeks latet and they did a urine test on me and it was still I n my system

FOR THE LAST TIME.PAY ATTENTION.
if you are taking methadone daily for months or years,even weeks if at higher doses, it can remain in your urine for up to and possibly a little longer than a month. HOWEVER, the withdrawals last months. that does not mean methadone is in your systen the metabolites are far gone it's your body trying to get back to normal. it's called PAWs (post-accute withdrawals).
Even taking 30 mg one day you can still be positive a week or two later. it's subjective to each individual and their metabolism.

and YES you can drink a gallon if water and pee clean for a dipstick test (take b vitamins, they're in all your energy drinks) to give it color. but when sent off to the lab it will come back as inconclusive which is usually considered positive. ask for another test and hopefully it will be gone by then.

STOP POSTING THE SAME QUESTIONS AND GO BACK AND READ PREVIOUS COMMENTS and youll likely see an answer there. jesus f christ

I'm on 400mg of methadone split into 100mg four times daily. I been on methadone for about 6 years thru pain management. And also take oxycodone 30mg four times a day for break thru pain. I kicked oxycodone a few times years ago without the methadone. It was bad but i recently had to do 90 days in county jail for a parole violation and it was the worst detox I have ever did. I detoxed off of dope before also, it's nothing like methadone detoxing and way longer. I couldn't sleep for over a month, it took me 3 months for diarrhea to stop, and was still going thru it after the ninety days. I never believed it when i heard it could last that long. Now if i was going to a methadone Clinic then they would have let me get my methadone in jail each day, but because it wasn't from a clinic for opiate and heroin withdrawl i couldn't. They won't do it for pain patients. And most county jails don't even let you get that. The ones in Philadelphia do but the ones on the suburbs won't let you have anything. I had nothing and was horrible, thought of suicide even quite a few times. Anyway I'm not sure how long out stays in system, i was curious to know myself, that's why i came to this site, but there is no straight answers. i guess different for everyone. @weazy...your info was so informing! I'm so glad to have the knowledge of a doc. Do you know if he was as talking about the metabolites in your urine? My doc was arrested and I'm stuck finding a new doc. I was out of my dilaudid and took 400 ml liquid methadone, but now I have to pass a drug test 32 days later. This is the only doc I could find that would take me bc I am a cash paying patient. I really need to my methadone to not show! I've pissed clean in the panel test before, but then when they sent it to the lab I showed the metabolites. Any help will be vey appreciated!

Yes,I was taking oxy for back pain at a pain clinic and one day I took a methadone.I went back to pain clinic for my monthly visit and methadone showed up in my urine 17 days after I took it.he asked me were I got the methadone and I bout s***.no idea it would stay that long in my system.

YEAH IF SHE TOOK 100MLG ONCE OR EVEN TWICE NO WAY ITS THERE 2MONTHS LATER !!NOW IF YOU WERE TAKING IT EVERYDAY MAYBE A LITTLE OVER A MONTH IT COULD STILL SHOW UP IT DID 4 ME I WAS AT80 MLG FOR 3 YEARS AND GAINED 120ILS FROM IT AND AFTER 5 WEEKS OF NOT HAVING IT IT SHOWED UP IN A URINE TEST

I have a question about the metabolites of methadone that show up in your urine. My doctor was ARRESTED for running a prescription drug ring (I was totally shocked!) and I do not have health insurance. I'm trying to find a new doctor, but in the meantime I took 400 ml of methadone while I was out of my dilaudid. I found a new doctor, but I need to pass a drug test. I took the methadone 36 days ago. Will the metabolites show in my system 36 days later?! I'm desperate bc it was very hard to find a doctor who takes cash paying patients. Anyone know how long it takes for the metabolites to not show?? Suggestions??

To the CONTRARY,, HES WELL RENOUND IN HIS FIELD FOR 17+ YRS... LIKE I SAID IVE BEEN ON METHADONE 10+ YRS AND IT ONLY TAKES 3+ DAYS TO PEE CLEAN..NOW BLOODTEST MAY BE DIFFRENT OR HAIR TEST BUT IM ONLY TALKING URINE TEST! IM NOT IGNORANT TO THIS MEDICATION OR SHELFLIFE AND NEITHER ARE ALL TEN + DRS IVE SEEN IN ALL YRS...BUT I GUESS EVRYONES METABOLISM ARE DIFFRENT ETC..

Your doctor is not very educated on methadone. Methadone has a very long half life, which means it takes a long time to clean out of the body. Before I started sub program I was get methadone off the street and was only taking 40mg a day. It took three weeks to pee clean

IVE BEEN ON METHADONE FIR ALMOST TEN YRS..ITS ALMOST ALWAYS OUTTA UR SYSTEM IN 3 - 5 DAYS....THERES NO WAY UNLESS YOUR STILL TAKING IT ,, THAT METHADONE WUD OR WILL STAY IN SYSTEM,, FOR 30 DAYS, 60 DAYS, OR EVEN WEEK OR TWO!!! Same thing, however it 29 days. I was on 170mg a day for 10 years and 3 years ago I wanted to use something else. So my DO put 60mg of morphine 1 tab 3times a day. Now here comes the fun! I live in Orlando,Florida where PILL MILLS are all over the place. People come from as far as Tennessee to get Oxycontin. The DEA asked to put those people on morphine. That created a shortage, and I went back to methadone, but only 60mg a day for 81 days. then the morphine supply got better & I went back the 60mg 3x a day, 29 days later my DO gave me a U/A and the methadone was there. I have been going to this Doctor 4 years for my high blood p & cholesterol and between the Doc and I that is under control. So sum it up I don't think anyone really knows !!!
