Dear doctor, i am a 20 year old girl and i took 3 tablets of voveran sr one day i.e. morning afternoon and in the night for severe headache. next day i saw blood in the urine. its been two days now and i havent seen the blood again. what could be the cause of this?

I am a 57 year old lady. I have been taking Voveran SR 100 mg twice daily for last six years for severe pain due to Osteoarthritis and repeated fractures in the lower limbs due to Osteoporosis. Since last five years I am also taking treatment for Osteoporosis ( Sodium Alendronate 75 mg weekly, Calcium 1000 mg daily, Vit D granules in maintenance dose of 60000 IU monthly). Since last one year I am also under antihypertensives ( Ramipril 5 mg BD, AMetaprolol 25 mg BD, Amlodipin 5 mg HS, Atorvastatin 10 mg HS. Since last three years I have noticed that everytime I eat spicy foodstuff, especially those with red chillies, I get severe abdominal cramps that necessitates taking an antispasmodic. This has greatly inconvenienced me. Is this a known side effect of taking Voveran?

I am 78 year old.
I have pain in right knee and in calf muscles. Voveran D 50 mg twice a day gives some relief. How many days can I safely take voveran D without any side effect.

What is better, voveran D or voveran SR.

I take Zantac 150 mg before breakfast.

I am 60 years old. I have been suffering from GOUT for the past 20 years. Though I have been taking Zyloric to prevent formation of Uric Acid, sometimes I get severe pain in the ankle and toe joints. In these times I tkae Vovron SR -100mg to control the pain

I have sprained my left ankle and it is very painful and ther is swelling in the ankle area I am on medication for High B.P and Cholestol Itake CONCOR 2.5& CINOD 5in morning & AWAS 10 & SARTAL80 in night Can I take VOVERAN SR 100 to reduce pain & Swelling in my ankles I am 74 years old Female

I think one should not form habit of taking the medicine for long. It may be taken when the pain is not tolerable and then discontinued.

Voveran (also known as Diclofenac in the U.S), is among the better tolerated NSAIDs. Though 20% of patients on long-term treatment experience side effects, only 2% have to discontinue the drug, mostly due to gastrointestinal complaints.

A few possible side effects I located include the following: Liver and kidney damage, water retention leading to high BP.

Mr Murali, i have been suffering from gout and have an etoricoxib drug 120mg once a day and the pain disappears In a matter of a couple of hours. The most well known brand is retoz 120 . You must avoid it if u r suffering from coronary heart disease

i'm 39 yrs old.I've been taking this voveran SR injection since last 2yrs due to severe stomach pain.when i was 28 yrs i used to have overbleeding and one of my ovary has been removed during family planning operation. when i consulted doctor,he adviced for balloon therapy .After that operation for 1 yr i used to not get periods but after that i started to get periods but without bleeding but severe stomach pain then another doctor recommended to take voveran SR injection once during periods.but i am using twice a day for 3days in a month.i got BP 6 months ago is this because of using this pain killer what should i do to overcome this pain instead of using this injection??

why u should be taking 3 tabs of pain killers/anti-inflammatory drugs of any kind, whether taking on own from over the counter stuff or on medical advice? n whether your headache is severe and repetitive n have u got a thorough checkup to rule out migraine attacks etc. If u continue taking them, your kidney may be damaged.

Although abdominal pain is not listed as a side effect, stomach pain or upset IS noted to be a side effect of Voveran. Also a number of gastrointestinal side effects associated with Voveran such as, gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, can be indirectly related to the abdominal pain. Flu-like symptoms are another possible side effect that can cause abdominal pain.

If the symptoms are too severe or do not go away, I would suggest contacting your doctor for a check up or possibly ask about switching medications.
