Suboxone Doctors In Indiana Who Accept Medicaid (Page 28)
UpdatedNeed a doctor who prescribes suboxone in Indiana - i am on medicaid.
I called there yesterday and they want you to come in three times the first week and they do not give you Sub the first visit. Then they want you in weekly. I'm too far away to be able to come in like that. My current doc accepts Medicaid but his nurses are rude and disrespectful. Plus he's dropping me way too fast and not listening to what I'm telling him.
I spoke to the actual doctors for that Lucina Treatment Center opening in a Carmel and they were AMAZING! It's $300 first visit. They don't accept insurance but they said you can send in to your insurance for reimbursement.
Which doctor? I'm looking I don't want one like that! I don't understand why someone goes into the medical field if they don't want to help people heal???! I hate the way some doctors act when you say your an addict. I need a real doctor and a team of nurses that care truly wanna help me
Yes Dr. Anthony Mimms is at 6325 S. East St. Indianapolis, IN 46227. I listed his phone number on post #536. He does take hip. 2.0 Mdwise insurance "medicaid" however if you're on hip you will need a referral to him that is the only way hip insurance with pay for ur visits and ur script but u will need what is called a prior authorization but once are at that point you will be seen about every 3 months. Now see I am scheduled to see Dr Mimms tomorrow on Thursday the 13th at 1:00 pm. But they called me this morning to reschedule my appt. For November something but told me I can come and pick up a new script for my Suboxone between 8-4 and it will be waiting. No problems with him or his staff so far and I don't expect any problems with them and you won't either as long as you piss for what ever you are prescribed by him and nothing else in ur system. Hell, I'm so grateful for Dr Mimms, he pretty much has saved my life!! Plus about a month and a half ago I broke my hand and the er sent me home with a script for norco, 20 of them and when I called Dr Mimms and told them about it he had No problem with me getting the Norco script. I just needed to bring in my proof of what the Dr said about my hand. In my case I'm just bringing a full print out of all my prescriptions from the pharmacy. Good luck with everything. Any questions or comments feel free to respond back.
I'm pretty sure that Dr Mimms with accept cash payments for each visit but they will not see u unless you have the full amount for that visit
Yep I know about the implant also there are "Buprenorphine" patches essentially a Suboxone patch. I'm going to ask my Dr. About them and what are my other options I have because he prescribes me Suboxone for pain!!!! I stay up to date with this kind of information!!/
Yes I was first put on the vivitrol shot in my butt. Lol...personally for me it didn't help me at all because I have underlying issues that cause me to always be in pain. The vivitrol shot every 30days u get a new one but yes it is a opioid blocker but when I was on the shot they told me that it will help with the craving for opiods but with me I was in chronic pain and I was taking morphine daily on the shot. No I didn't get to that euphoria feeling but if I took the morphine but I'd have to take a little bit extra and then it did help me manage my pain.
So, is Dr.Mimms a pain doctor? Or for addiction? I tried to call there couldn't get through, it beeped so I left a message, am I doing something wrong? I wanted to speak with someone, very frustrating!
Dr. Mimms is for pain management. He's technology he's called a Physiatrist.
May i plz have your drs number kelly jackson thanks
Is there a waiting list? Most Dr's have a long wait time.
Hi do they prescribe it on the first visit? At the Anderson clinic?
Hi do they prescribe it on the first visit at the Anderson clinic?
Is this API? Bc I go to the one in Greencastle and bc I had to have a cyst removed he said I was to complicated of a patient and needed pain management. They pretty much just was ppl to come in pee in a cup get your meds and leave. They don't wanna help they just wanna make money and see as many ppl as possible!!
Matt it's posted down in the forum and yes she gives it the first visit, if it clean she will not prescribe u if u do nerve pills
Does anyone know if the Anderson clinic gives the first dose at the first visit? At United family care?
So you have to be clean or just clean of nerve pills to be prescribed that day
Hello all, I am here for a little help as well as maybe offer someone help. I'm in search of a new sub doctor, I am in Lafayette, IN and am willing to drive where ever in Indiana to get into a doctor that can get me in fairly fast as well as accept my insurance (HIP plus) I was seeing a doctor but she cut me off cold turkey after seeing her for a year and a half, due to a lapse in my insurance. Anyone who is in need of a new doctor, the one I was currently seeing, as well as her husband have offices all over Indiana.(Lafayette,Kokomo,Logansport..as well as other locations) they do accept medicaid and the wait to get in to see them is usually less then a month. They are through the Raj clinic. I hope this helps someone and if anyone is able to help me in my search for a new doctor, I would appriciate it!
No, I know it's hard to get through on Dr. Mimms phone line. When u call select the option for general questions press0 and let it ring and someone at the front desk should answer if they don't I normally just hang upb& wait a minute and call back until they pick up. He's a pain management Dr. I've only been seeing him as a patient since June 2016. So far he's been my life saver. I have REASONS TO TAKE PAIN MEDS ,I ALSO HAVE AN OPIOID DEPENDENCE. HE KNOWS everything about my conditions. He's the best Dr I've ever seen. Right now he's prescribing me 3 8mg Suboxone film a day with 2 refills so u only see him generally every 3months once u get stable. However when I see him in November I'm going to try and switch meds I want to switch off of my Suboxone to either methadone or morphine. The Suboxone gives me very bad migraines. I'm also going to tell him that I have to switch because I want to go through physical therapy but I need something to help my pain because I know from experience the pain will get much worse at first and he also usually asks about possibly going to a councillor and where I want to go for mental health said I can't go back ton the clinic I was going for about 2years ams and they say since I'm already prescribed Suboxone even though it's prescribed for pain. They WON'T TAKE ME BECAUSE THEY HAVE THEIR OWN SUBOXONE PROGRAM!!! Personally I believe that is messed up!!
