Need a doctor who prescribes suboxone in Indiana - i am on medicaid.

No the vivitrol shot I took for a total of 3 months and I was still taking Suboxone and or other pain pills. They helped a bit but not like they normally do. Also be very very careful if you are on vivitrol shot u have a increased risk for overdosing if u use any opioid/opiate. I tell u this because of my pain conditions I still needed pain meds. But I know what I was doing with the pain meds. I firmly believe that the vivitrol shot IS A COMPLETE WAIST OF TIME!!!

Butrans the patches only deliver up to 1mg of suboxone per day and you wear the patch for 7 days. It's a joke. The first patch I got only delivered 0.24mg per day. Don't do it.

Anyone that lives in Indy or near and is willing to make the drive. Avon urgent Care 10706 US-36, Avon, IN 46123 is supposed to be great, if you go they prescribe Suboxone to it doesn't matter if your pee is clean or dirty doesn't matter, they are supposed to be great.

I would tread very carefully you mentioned you have had addictions but Dr mimms is treating your pain with Suboxone it is prescribed to people that have legitimate pain issues that are not candidates for other narcotics because we'll in layman's terms wake our demon also you are very lucky that you are getting 8/2 3 times per day the dea has made some changes in prescribing Suboxone 90 % of Dr's will not prescribe more than 2 a day trust me when I tell you that he will think you are drug seeking also if you loose him you will never get 3 a day from any other Dr consider yourself lucky and ask him about injections as far as your headaches go ask him to switch you to subtex which is the narcotic part of Suboxone a lot of people have trouble with the naloxone

Mike where is DR Mimms located? Do they take Medicaid MD wise? I seem to find that places take Medicaid don't take my plan. I tried Avon urgent care, they weren't taking new patients at the time but my understanding is that they have new doctor who is, but still doesn't help me cause I have to find a doctor within my group or network. I get confused but I did find out it's my enrollment period to where I can switch my plan. I hate how my life has ended up. I got addicted to pain meds a few years back due to multiple surgeries and my back issue. I talked to my primary care doctor and all he seems to wanna do is keep giving me more percocets and I am so bad they don't last and I turned to suboxone and I'm not proud of who I've become. I want a treatment program to help me manage my pain and I didn't want to admit it. Sorry typing a book here, just trying to give you a short version of what's going on and if you had any ideas or suggestions on doctors or pain management programs, I want to get off suboxone the right way. I wish I would have never got on it but I did and can't change that now. It does help with the pain. Sorry to bug you but any info is appreciated.

Lol I see him as well. His answering service is messed up, if you need to talk to someone and can't leave a message just keep pressing 0 for the front desk. If it goes to a voicemail hang up and keep calling back until you get through.

BamBam, I also am a patient of Dr. Mimms, and I just had a appointment with him on November 9th@2:30. Lol if you saw him on the 9th we probably saw each other at his office. Lol I completely agree with you about Dr. Mimms, he's great! He is a lifesaver for me!!! He's very knowledgeable, caring, understanding, doesn't judge people. I've recommended him to quite a few people, but I don't think he is taking any new patients.

Im in Jeffersonville,IN and just lost my sub doctor. i started there 7 months ago. I just couldnt keep making the 100 mile drive to get there. I need a doc in the Jeff/Clarksville/new Albany or louisville areas. Whos good around here? I can afford up to 200-250 for the first visit. I have anthem hip state plan plus but no there are prolly none here that take insurance for the visits. Any help appreciated

I was just a patient of his also. he was just the kind of Dr I was looking for, or so I thought. I'll admit the first urine was mine. it was dirty as hell with thc and others but he said it was clean. well my 2nd visit I knew I had thc still so I used my baby cousins pee and he tells me it has methamphetamine in it? pleeeeze. then 3rd time the same thing. so I try to tell him there's no way. he threatens me. unreal. Probably did see each other! Yes he is wonderful! I feel blessed to have gotten in! Wish there were more suboxone doctors out there to help those in need! I had previously went to the API clinic in Crawfordsville, and it was a joke! It's not a real suboxone doctor there. Plus ita a far drive for me! I hope everyone finds the right doctor to help them! Don't give up! It took me awhile! It's all worth it ! Keep on keeping on.
