Good luck, i hope u find some help for your pain. Unfortunately, pain clinic MD's usually prescribe strong opiate pain meds. If you're going to MMT, and are on more than, i believe 80 mg's, of Methadone, Opiates will no longer work the same as it did before u began MMT because the methadone contains an opiate "blocker"
You'll get a better explanation if u google it, but basically, Opiates such as Morphine, Oxy, Percocet, dilaudid are called Agonists while Methadone is an antagonist, which are opiate blockers.
I hope This helps someone. Please send me questions, comments or I can just he someone to talk to that's going thru the same things as you. Thanks

Tell me about it! I live in Nashville and recently lost PM and primary care told me 4 months ago they were working on it and this week they just asked me, " why were you going anyway?" They never even obtained any of my medical records showing my history! They got tired of my insistence and dismissed me. Now they're trying to withhold my records, I don't think they even have any!!!

I'm sorry you're suffering, but to be honest, due to the possible liabilities, plus the complications of treating someone taking Methadone, I am not sure you are going to find a place that will treat you.

Learn more Methadone details here.

Most places will likely just tell you that you need to use a higher dosage of Methadone for awhile.

When I lived in PA, it was hard to find one that would treat with any type of pain medication.

Are you able to travel outside of PA?
