Percocets 2mg/5mg/7.25mg or 10mg.s and also can have 325mg/500mg or 650 mgs of Acetaminophen in them ...example if your taking 10mg tablets and on smaller dose the give you 10/650 the reason they also have 10/325 they can prescribe more pills and still stay with in the 4000mgs of Acetaminophen for a max daily dose. Example a doc my give someone 60 10/650 but if they need more they can go all the way to 8 a day 10/325 or 240 a month. The reason docs give percs with Acetaminophen in them they make it react with the oxy in them to help with pain management better.(for certain types of pain) Percocet are instant release, then you can get oxycodone without any fillers and they are 2mg/5mg/10mg/20mg/30mg also (instinct release) or called IR'S then you have oxycontin 5mg/10mg/20mg/40mg/60mg/80mg and you to have 160mg for a short time when oxys first came out ...also they same as the oxycodone without any filler(well without any acetaminophen but they are time released (12hr time frame) only difference between oxycontin and oxycodone is the delivery mechanism. hope this helps

Percs come in 5 7.5 10s percocet has acetaminophen in it. Roxicodone which is the generic form of oxycodone which is an ingredient in percocet comes in 15 20 30 if it has acetaminophen in it its percoCET. If it doesn't its roxicodone so to dumb it down percs dont.come higher than 10mg but oxycodone which is the pain med in percs also are in roxis which come in higher disses

I was reading thru the above discussion from "above"- unfortunately I must use the word discussion very lightly-HA. Reading some of the statements regarding percocet was actually quite amusing:) It's quite clear that everyone's getting too caught up on that one word "PERCOCET", when in fact thats just a brand name for medication(s). I have to say I was relieved to see the post from bub on 3/2/12- extremely intelligent, very accurate and easy to understand explanation of the whole thing:)

1st of all percocets do not come in a dosage higher than 10 milligrams of Oxycodone.....no need 2 call any1 stupid but no such thing as a percocet 15, 20, or 30. Clearly they are oxycodone by itself. Those 15, 20, and 30s are missing the acetaminophen and without that, it's not a percocet!

You are incorrect. Percocet (Oxycodone) is available in 5, 7.5, 10, 20, 15, and 30mg. The 5, 7.5 and 10mg are available with acetaminophen. In addition all listed but the 7.5 mg are also available without acetaminophen. There are many different manufacturers so they can vary in color, shape, etc. I have personally been prescribed every single one of them until I got to my current monthly scrip of a combo of 15s and 30s. It's very easy to Google info for any drug or you can check with your pharmacist.

15 and 30mg do not contain Acetaminophen right? And are just oxy. the 20mg do not look like the 15 and 30. and are from a different company if they are not Oxycontin OP.

Bub, thank you so much for your honest and well informed post and reply! You are 100% correct! I think people confuse generic Percocet, Oxycodone with acetaminophen, which is used for immediate release! OxyContin, which is pure Oxycodone (containing no acetaminophen), which is time released! Generic Percocet with acetaminophen only goes as high as 10mg in dosage! Pure Oxycodone without acetaminophen, or OxyContin, comes in varied strengths! Please Bub's post above! He is correct! I am a nurse! People trying to abuse Oxycodone with acetaminophen should NEVER do so! It is meant to be taken orally for immediate release! It contains many fillers which are dangerous and can cause serious life threatening side effects to your lungs, especially clots! Many deaths are been caused by abusing generic Percocet with acetaminophen! The Oxycontin without acetaminophen is pure Oxycodone, and contains NO fillers! I suggest reading up on the differences and know what you are doing! I can see by reading all the posts here that there is a lot of confusion! Read Bub's post above! No you are not taking one 20mg Percocet, or 30mg Percocet. To be called Percocet, it must contain acetaminophen ( Tylenol) . You are taking Oxycodone.

Vicodin comes in a 10 mill also Lortab being the best for generic percocet, is in 5 mill 7.5 mill and 10 mill .and 15 mill and 20 mill and 30 mill cause percocet just means brand name it was call dupont it was blue it was the first original Opiet pain pill brand name!!! Rococet, is a generic brand .it is with Tylenol and it is without tylenol, ocycodon, is the opiate in the pill when it says ocycodon instant relief it's the little pure ones if it says ocycodon 5/325 that means with Tylenol that's usually given for pain with swelling. the only difference between oxycodone and oxytocin is one is instant with Tylenol or pure without, and oxytocin which in the US, is now OP. oxycotin is still made in other country's, but due to to abuse and drug store robberies, they made them harder to IV, but like any drug !!! 2 days after they came out, all you had to do was Google it and it told you how to get around that. So just check out the meaning of percocet, then oxycodone, then oxytocin, and Rococet, it's all the same!! Ones instant, one timed released, one is brand named, one is generic..nobody is stupid you just have to take your time and check it out read it!!! And adhd, is attention deficit hyper disorder, that's why you get energy from them it works the opposite on you, we'll I just took my 10 mill oxycodone, IS for my pain to sleep have a good night and take only what's prescribed. No....percocet DOES NOT come in 15mg. Or 20...or 30mg.. In response to the previous post right before this post..... No....... actually...hydrcodone.. comes in 5..7.5 and 10mg..10/500..meaning 500 of tylenol....there is not..a oxycodone of any kind 15mg. The next stronger pain pill is called a Roxy which is made without any filler...just narcotic .10...15..20..30....so.. in replying to the post. I suppose saying someone is stupid.. could actually backfire!! If a narcotic pain pill does not have aspirin or tylenol...the pill is 100% narcotic..10 mg. Usually pink in color..15mg. Usually always light green and 30mg..more often than not is a blue round pill.....These are all highly additive and I would never advise these unless the patient has long term major pain.

The misunderstanding over and over is that "percocet" is a brand name. And only comes in lower doses. The oxycodone is available in higher doses but not under the brand name "percocet" the "cet" in the brand name "percocet" is there to indicate the acetaminophen (Tylenol) that percocet, as a brand, is cut with. The oxycodone that comes in 15 and 30 mg (which everyone refers to as per thirties) are available but not under the brand name of percocet. Because "percocet" the brand, are cut with acetaminophen. Its splitting hairs really. The oxy is the drug, and people call them percs. Its slang.

Wtf no it doesn't. It's Oxycodone in that strength so know what you are taking about before you try and blast someone. Percocet means a combination of two drugs oxycodone and tylenol. They do not make percocet higher than 10mg. After that it's straight oxycodone no tylenol

you are right on the money; people are weirding out over this for nothing.
the important part is the amount of opiod you are taking....once you go past 10mg, with or without acetominophen, you are into big, heavy drugs and need to be very careful how you take and how much you take :-)
