Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 24)

Updated

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

From what I can find out no US attorney touch it becuz Pfizer cut a crooked deal that invloved sending millions to each state and the feds. In exchange they get immunity for murdering and blinding us, and all civil lawsuits are being blocked by Obama and his evil henchman Eric Holder. YThey got 2.3 billion to split, the real whistleblowers got nothing, and they put their buddies as the new ones who got paid. They used our suffering to get 2.3 billion and have given absolutely nothing to any victims I can find. My eyesight is damaged and getting worse, and I almost died from Erythrema Multiforme that Lyrica caused me according to Winchester Medical Center experts. These people are no better than common pickpockets or terrorists. South Carolina is the only state that refused the bribe. In return for paying 2.3 billion noone can any longer sue them. Something clearly illegal in the US and something never done before now. Politicians used us to scam both us and pfizer out of billions and leave us victims with no recourse. The whole lot of them belong in prison. Eric Holder the US attorney general used to work for them, OBama and his appointed health dept heads, Sara Bloom, Sharon Woods, Kathleen Sebelius, Thomas Perrelli, Sheller(a law firm with father and daughter) scammed us all for billions, while presenting it to the public as standing up to them. Obama lost my trust and my vote with this. CROOK!!!!! The only one trying to run for President who did not take a huge bribe for this is Trump. Romney and all his buddies took hundreds of millions.

Renee. OMG it sounds just like what's going on with me. I was told I needed spinal surgery for herniated disks, pinched nerves, bone spurs, spinal stenosis. I told them NO, as long as I can take a script and get relied I won't do surgery. I don't know if I should agree to do it or not. How did your surgery go? Did it help you?

Lyrica was out on the market before obama entered office. I took it in 2006. So blame the republicans, the are for big business. This is not a political blog. Lyrica was out long before obama took office. It was developed, originally for fibramlagia patients. In 2005, or there about, salesmen told doctors lyrica could be used for any chronic pain, even arthritis. I know because between 2006 and 2007 I was on it for a month. In 2007 I was put on a six month probation, after 29 years of working, my probation ended in june of 2007 and SO DID MY JOB. All because of th side effects that were not posted by pfiezer. So like I said this drug was around for a long tiime. We have all been used as guneau pigs, so that they can find any more side effects. Lyrica was not tested long enough, or on enough people, or the results were fudged way back before 2006.

Cindy - The Lyrica gave me symptoms of MS and the numerous Drs I was sent to were convinced I did have MS. I was put on Lyrica after I crushed my thoracic spine Feb 08 and had to have reconstructive surgery and didn't know if I would ever walk again. I am in constant acute pain and these Drs. put me on this awful drug which made everything even worse. Unfortunately, all of the side effects from the lyrica did not go away. I wouldn't recommend spinal surgery if it won't help with the pain. I only had it because I didn't have a choice I shattered my T12 - T10 vertebrae. I wouldn't have walked again without it. The lyrica was suppose to help with the spinal cord damage instead it destroyed my eyesight, I twitch and still have difficulty concentrating and with my memory. If you are considering surgery do your homework I came across so many terrible doctors. Good luck I hope you feel better

I went in for a full thyroid removal. I had a few seizures. I have short-term memory. I can't even remember December 21, 2011, when I had the operation. I'm always forgetting things. I get headaches and numbness in my legs. And, sometimes, if I'm reading, the letters keep "jumping" up and down. I have four different doctors, and they all blame it on each other. I had an MRI and it showed that it was normal. He said I need a neuropsychic testing, and would call me with an appointment. He never called; that was over a month ago. When I call, they say he's on vacation. I have all the medical reports. But, I just don't know how to read them. I have four children who have to suffer and watch me go through this have been getting headaches on my right side of my head and a litte to the front now they want to put me on Lyrica..I all ready have short term memories and have trouble under standing some times what people are saying and so many other efects, all the doctors want to do is blame it on the other doctor

PGWAR: You may be interested in this: Reuters reported on March 25, 2010, that "Pfizer Inc violated federal racketeering law by improperly promoting the epilepsy drug Neurontin Gabapentin) ... Under federal RICO law the penalty is automatically tripled, so the finding will cost Pfizer $141 million."The case stems from a claim from Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. that "it was misled into believing Neurontin was effective for off-label treatment of migraines, bipolar disorder and other conditions. Lyrica is a modified version of Gabapentin, & Lyrica is many times stronger. It would seem to me that prescribing it for migraines is another misuse of this harmful drug.

So in other words, lawyers paid off lawyers victims continue to get nothing and Pfizer continues the exact same behaviour unhindered.

Saw an ad today on facebook advertising Cymbalta, a med for bipolar and psychosis, for use on lower back pain. Obviously the no lawsuits allowed results only encouraged them to keep it up. They've circumvented the entire justice system. Leaving only one option available. Poor choice by them. I say we utilize that one option immediately. Even the lyrica survivors facebook page has vanished.

That "jumping around" words. That's me too. I can't read no more than a page or two. Adding up columns of numbers is torture.

I found a site posted June 26 2012 announcing Lyrica was just approved by the FDA to be prescribed for spinal cord injury pain. I am confused because I thought it had been prescribed for that for at least 4 yrs now. Wasn't pfizer sued for $3 billion last week for misuse of medications.
I was on Lyrica for almost 2yrs for a spinal cord injury and this drug destroyed the rest of me and it wasn't even approved by the FDA.

As far as I know lyrica has been on the market since @ least 2005.it was developed exclusively for fibramalagia pattients. Now it seems to be prescribed for any chronic pain from arthritis to migraines, but all it really does is cause more problems. It is like curing the disease but it kills the patient first

In other words they are still playing the same evil game and noone has made any actual progress thru the legal route. Shows how heartless and criminally minded they are.

I too have been told I need all my teeth pulled due to dry mouth which Lyrica caused. My teeth all have decay and was told that dentures would never fit right because of the dry mouth from Lyrica.

Nicholas...yes. I experienced that same word jumping that you described, I just never related it to the LyricaI quit taking Lyrica 7 months ago and I can say that I no longer have any of these side effects that were caused by Lyrica. Wean yourself off if you decide to get off of it. I decided the side effects I was having was way worse than the nerve damage I was taking it for.

Lyrica was first developed for Epilepsy patients and then moved off label to Fibromyalgia and then everything else they could think of , it fundementaly works by slowly destroying the brain so no pain is felt ..

I agree. It is now used for any chronic pain relief.I believe that is why more symptoms and side effects are showing upp which never showed up in the clinical trials. It is the "new tylenol". Heaven help us..
