I had to go to the mental hospital to get detoxed of my suboxones. It had been two months and I'm still crawling or if my skin and that was worst emotional depression I've every been in. That Funk still is not debunked; ( I moved 500 miles Away from all I knew here to Nashville and I find myself looking at every gas station or stop I make to see if anyone had the look where I may score something. I really need to know what I should do. Relapses ate becoming too old. I've tried real hard these past two months.. But our feels like I'm running against the wind. .

I am on day two of being off Suboxone I wean myself down to almost a tiny little flake from 2 mg tabs. I started off taking 24 mg a day. So you can imagine it's been a very very long battle. But lately I feel like my restless leg syndrome has gotten so much worse that I can't sleep at all. The saddest thing is that I'm a mom and I have to take my young daughter to school. I feel like Iwant to help because I don't want to go back. So I was wondering if you would give me the name of your doctor? Or do you think that I should keep going the way i am.?

The first thing you should stop is the xanax. Substances like xanax and valium have properties that the longer you take them the more they effect and harder it is. Doctors who prescribe suboxone have medicines specific for withdrawals from suboxone. When I first started subs I was told they would bot have withdrawal effects. I got on them for back pain and wasn't wanting to go down the narcotic route. Little did I know subs are the same s***, just diff day. My withdrawals from subs only consist of sweating at night and this is seven days after not having one. I went to my doctor and told him ibwanted to start weaning off of subs because I literally couldn't stand being drenched in sweat and not sleeping so I would take a small sliver of film sub and would be fine for couple days. He told me that when I am ready there are actual medications he can give that will help the withdrawals from the subs. It doesn't make everything perfect by all means but makes it tolerable and manageable (in his words). I have an appt in two months to receive these meds. If by then you need help I can tell you what he gave me and if it works. But I would start with the xanax first. That will be the harder one to stop especially if you take a few a day or if you have been on them for a while. I hope this helps. Take care.

smoke herb take zanax and a few methadone for a few days only. then use test. you won't have any withdraws. just stop all the other s*** after a few days stay on test several weeks after. its the miracle cure for withdrawal symptoms. keeps energy up and appetite gives u the boost u need to keep going.

DannyBoy, in your post you mentioned some medicines (natural, I think), you mentioned "TEST" several times...what is it? Thanks

Hey there "Free From Subs!" I cannot tell you how hopeful your post made me feel. I've been on Subs for almost 4 years now. I've taken 8mg a day (one 8mg pill that dissolves under the tongue) almost the entire 4 years although occasionally I go a day or two without and have never felt any withdrawals. My point is I want off Subs SO SO SO BAD! I hate being dependent on something. It's beginning to cause me anxiety and a bit of depression because I don't want to be on them anymore. I would stop cold turkey if I thought it was possible, but after doing some research I've read the withdrawals from Subs can be terrible. You and your doctor seem to have figured out a great way of getting off Subs. What state do you live in? Do you know how I too could find the same kind of help you are getting? I'm pretty desperate to get off subs and if it means taking something else for a month so be it because I cant do this anymore. I just have no idea where to start to get the necessary help. The doc that prescribes the Subs is no help. Congratulations on getting off Subs! Your story is very encouraging! You've made me realize that there is an end in sight for me too. Please let me know of any kind of info you can give me to follow in your footsteps! I want to be 100% pill free as soon as possible. Thank you so much! I'll be anxious to hear from you.

Hi Stuck on Subs! Thanks for reaching out to me...I'm happy to help you. First of all, I have realized that MANY of the posts on here are unnecessarily scarey. When my 2nd visit to my new Dr, I told him that I was TERRIFIED to get off the subs because of all the negative and SCAREY posts on here, and he asks me to do him a few favors; the first favor is for me to TRUST him, the second favor is for me to follow his "detox plan", the third favor is for me to BELIEVE IN MYSELF AND REALIZED THAT I AM GOING TO BE SUB FREE WITHOUT SUFFERING, and then he looked at me with such a kind smile and said, "STAY OFF THE INTERNET". We both laughed because I knew he was right, the stories on some of these sites are enough to scare anyone into staying on Subs for the rest of their life! I followed his plan (although I had a hard time staying off the internet, those damn scarey stories!) I noticed that no one ever comes back on these sites and post about their POSITIVE experiences about getting off Subs and I honestly think it's because once you're free from the Subs, you're so busy actually LIVING LIFE AGAIN, that you move on and GET BACK TO LIVING. That's why I'm replying to your post...I want you to KNOW that there really IS LIFE AFTER SUBS AND IT HONESTLY FEELS LIKE COLORS ARE BRIGHTER, THE LOVE THAT YOU HAVE FOR YOUR SPOUSE, PARTNER, CHILDREN, FRIENDS FEELS RENEWED, DEEPER, FOOD TASTES BETTER, THE BIRDS ARE CHIRPING, GIGGLING TAKES THE PLACE OF "GOOGLING FOR WAYS TO GET OFF SUBS" DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY,FEAR,SHAME,LONELINESS, FEELING HELPLESS, FEELING LIKE A PRISONER, COUNTING YOUR PILLS, HOPING YOUR SUB DR DOESN'T STOP WRITING YOUR SCRIPTS, ALL OF THAT OBSESSIVE BEHAVIOR AND OBSESSIVE THINKING IS REPLACED BY THE MIRACLE OF GETTING OFF OF SUBS AND I SAY THIS WITH 100% SINCERITY AND HONESTY, "AS SOON AS YOU GET ON THIS (OR A SIMILAR PROGRAM, YOUR LIFE IS YOURS AGAIN!" YOU DON'T FEEL HIGH ON DRUGS, YOU'LL FEEL HIGH ON LIFE! And don't listen to any negativity like some people will post on here that, "you're just trading one drug for another". That's Bull Crap! After the Subs are out of your body, the Dr will taper you slowly off of the meds so that you won't suffer any withdrawals from this program. And if you have legitimate pain, your Dr will prescribe medication for you to keep your pain away. I'm following my wonderful Dr.'s advice and "HIS PROGRAM FOR ME" and here I am 7 DAYS HAPPILY FREE OF SUBUTEX! YEAH!! I HONESTLY HAVE NOT SUFFERED ANY WITHDRAWALS, IN FACT, I HAVE NEVER FELT BETTER!! So can you! To answer your question, I live in Southern California. Have you asked your dr to help you get off the Subs? I'm not surprised that your sub Dr hasn't offered this plan to you...these sub Dr's are making a fortune by getting patients addicted to subs and even more by keeping patients addicted to that Crap! Can you imagine if everyone got off subs? The so-called Sub Dr's would go broke! Scew them for doing this to us! What city/state do you live in? I mentioned to my Wonderful DR that I really want to help get the word out and help people just like he is helping me. Please let me know what area you live in and I will ask my DR how you can get in with a PAIN MNGMNT Dr or a Psychiatrist in your area or your surrounding area that WILL get you off of subs without suffering. I promise you that this program that my DR has me on works:-) There's no reason to be scared and there's a SUCCESSFUL, BEAUTIFUL, HAPPY SUB FREE, LIFE AND FUTURE FOR YOU...FOR ALL OF US WHO ARE BEING GIVEN OUR LIFE BACK! Please reply to my post and I will respond to it immediately. Hang in there, I promise you that you aren't doomed to life of Subs! Can't wait to hear from you, Btw, what's your first first name? My name is Tonya:-)

Hi Stuck on Subs,
I just read your post to me and I don't want you to think that I'm ignoring your post...I have an Eye Dr appointment in a few minutes, so as soon as I get home (approx 11am California time), I will reply in greater detail. By the way, I feel for you that you don't have a Support System at home, it's hard enough to go through this Sub stuff...I can only imagine that it's even harder for you to keep itva secret. YOU'RE NOT ALONE, I'M HERE FOR YOU:-) and I have some info to help you regarding Dr in your area. I'll talk with you in my next post after my eye appt. How are you feeling today? Hang in there, I promise you that you WILL look back on this and be proud of yourself for doing it, and it will feel AMAZING! Also, it will feel so good to not have a "suboxone secret". GOD BLESS!!

Dear Jamnewstart. I am a 66 year old woman that was addicted to Oxycodone after two surgeries almost back to back. When I couldn't get off of the Oxy I decided to go to a suboxone dr; don't remember how I heard of it. I was on Subs for about two years and went to a detox clinic to get off of 1 to 1/2 mils a day with 3 Clonidine a day. I didn't go into withdrawals until the 7th day I was in this detox hospital. Then it all went down from there. I remained there for 15 days and was sent home. It wasn't too bad that first day home but got worse because I wasn't on the regimin I was on in the hospital. I went to my family doc and he gave me Vistaril and told me to continue taking Clonidine three times a day to keep my blood pressure down. I had to change to Ibusporin because I have asthma and cannot take anything with antihistimines. This is my 19th day off of Sub and I am still breaking into a lot of cold sweats; having to change my clothes every time because I get soaking wet and freeze even worse. How long I this supposed to last?

Now I'm terrified. I have hypoactive thyroid. Was but on subs for months now a new med called zubsolv. I feel like I train has run me over and I'm soo tired with migranes. My Dr lied to me, said there would be no change with meds. HUGE change. Even pharmacy couldn't believe Dr told me no change. It's less than half dosage and I'm so sick. What's wrong with these Dr s. I'd rather be called an addict and be taking oxycontin again but wont/cant. I'm also severely depressed. Was never like this on opiates. :(

I know exactly what you mean!! I'm beyond depressed! :-( It sucks. When u take Oc's or on Sub's, you never really feel depressed. Now besides the "run over by a truck" feeling, I have to be depressed on top of it?!? I'm soo sick, my stomach is turning and my head just won't stop throbbing. How many days have u been going without meds?? I'm looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. I know I'll feel better eventually, but that just doesn't seem to be coming fast enough. I expected to feel sick...just not this sick. And I feel u on the Thyroid issue! I'm Hypo as well and they can't get meds right. Plus I have Lymes Disease and something that's Rheumatoid degenerative disease. So either way my joints hurt normally. Now without that pain meds I feel everything, just ten times worse. Want to give in so bad! But then these 6 days will be for nothing. And yes, I'm already on Xanax. And it does help at times. Thank you for your input. And again, Good Luck, keep up the fight! God bless.

Lost and Looking, I completely agree!! I wish I could give u my email, cell or even my first name!! How can we get around this sites precautions?? I'd like to keep in contact for sure. We have a lot in common!!! How are you hanging in today?? And for u others that just joined in...trust me, I know it's no walk in the park!! I tell everyone I know that they have never been sick unless they've tried goin cold turkey off of Sub's!! It's physically, mentally and spiritually draining!! My friend said after the 2&1/2 month point..is when he finally started to feel not just better, but renewed! I'm not even a quarter of the way, so for me it seems like an endless battle. But damn it's gonna be a battle I'm gonna win!! I have to take each day as it comes. The Only thing that remotely helps is the xanax. But then I feel like, "damn...ure just switching 1 for the other!" But I need something for now, or I'm gonna give in! I'll worry about weaning off that when the time comes. How is everyone hanging in today??!! Need to hear some encouragement!!! I hate feeling alone in this. Especially when you have the duties of being a mom always weighing on your mind. And I pride myself on doing everything I can for them. And this is definitely one of um!! And girl, u've gone 2 months!!!! Do u have any clue what an amazing accomplishment that is?!?! Don't go back and make it all have been for nothing!! Ure now at the home stretch! My boy said just a little further and ure gonna feel a huge difference!!! Good Luck to all & God bless!! P.s. Lost and Looking, if u figure out a way we can get around having to go through the site...I'd love to know your name and vice versa! :-) U've been an amazing support through all this!!! Thank you again!!!

To anybody out there, subs are the BEST way to get off opiates. I was a long time addict with oxy and hydro around 100+mg a day. I kicked it with about half a strip at a time. Twice a day. Never felt better. Performing better at work. Friends and family are closer than ever. And I don't hate myself. God that's the best part is that I love myself now... Good luck everyone God bless.
