My personal experience has been this: I am not a daily or frequent user of suboxone. I've been going to new PM doc who put me on 15 mg roxy 4x day when I'm used to taking 30 mg 3x/day, so I have been running out of meds about a week early.
When I run out of my meds early I will do a small piece of suboxone if/when I start to get pill sick to help me sleep. A few months ago, I took 2 mg suboxone on a Sunday afternoon around 3 pm thinking since I had only taken it that one time, that such a small amount would be out of my system in a day or two. But I tested positive on my urine drug screen the following Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
Month before last I ran out of meds and I took 2 mg sub on Monday morning and another 2 mg on a Tuesday morning. My PM appt was Thursday of the following week (9 days later) and luckily they had switched to the saliva testing, and it came back negative for the subs. Last month I did 2 mg on Monday, 2 mg on Tuesday and tested at PM the following Wednesday (saliva test) and came back negative.
From my and my friends' experiences, infrequent users will test negative in saliva after 5-7 days and could take up to 10 days in urine. But it really does depend on your individual metabolism and the type of testing used.

Read the reply from shine and Clyde. This sounds about right from what i have read, each dose stacks and extends the time it takes to get out of the system.
Shine says: Subs have a half life, so it will take longer. If you take 2 mg it will take up to 36 hours to get rid of 1 mg and 36 more hours to get rid of the other 1 mg.. that is what I have been reading every where.
Clyde says:You actually have this concept of half lifes wrong. If you have taken 2mg and it takes 36 hrs to get 1/2 out. Which is 1mg, it will take another 36hrs to get rid of half of whats left. So 1/2 mg. Then 1/4; then an 1/8; and so on.....Thats how half lives work. I believed it worked the way you do, until a specialist explained it to me fully.

It's not like other drugs, drinking fluids WILL NOT help flush subs any faster. The half-life is what it is and hardly varies from person to person. If you go on the suboxone website it'll give you an exact breakdown

I have been taking Suboxone for 6 months my current dose is 8mg (started at 24mg). I see a lot of people asking the question how long do Subs stay in your system. My doctor told me the half life of the drug is 36 hrs (half life means half of your dosage is gone from your system). So 72 hours is the MINIMUM before it is completely out of the system, but the longer you can go the better in my opinion.I have surgery coming up and am giving my body 7 days 144 hours off the subs. I should say I am taking the "better safe than sorry" approach. But, it is a personal decision to go that long. Honestly, because I don't want to be in extreme pain after my hernia repair and find the pain meds don't work! Hope this helps.

I took a not even a 8th of a suboxone and I have been clean for over a month and have to pass a drug screen by Tuesday if I stay very active and drink plenty of water and sweat a lot do you think I will be okay to take a drug screen it the 10 panel one so it detects it .
