How Do You Take Subutex? Swallow Or Put Under Tongue To Dissolve? (Page 3)

I have a friend who takes suboxone & recently got a subutex given to him. I take suboxone myself but ive never heard of subutex until couple days ago. I would like to know how is subutex supposed to be taken? Under your tongue or do u swallow it? I am worried about my friend & i have searched every site possible on information on subutex but none of these sites say how it is suppose to be taken. what are the side effects of subutex? why do doctors give pregnant women subutex & not suboxone during pregnancy? i need to know any & all information on subutex. i have hidden the pill from my friend until i can try 2 find some information on it & he has been sick but i dont want anything bad to happen to him.also is subutex a small white round pill with number 8 on one side & an arrow on the other & does it come in any other forms or colors etc.? I'm desperate for answers!!!!!

Amen, Hockey Mom 2004. That is ridiculous he calls others ignorant. Especially, like you said, when he can't spell s*** or punctuate or anything. I'm no grammatical expert or anything, but I'm definitely not going to call someone ignorant if I couldn't spell 3rd grade level words. The only one who seems to be ignorant is L33t with that long ass response. Although, I will admit, some points are valid and correct, but others are just pure speculation and opinion being expressed as "scientific fact". First off the thing you say about 30mg of morphine, roxy, or oxy being the equivalent to 8mg of subutex/suboxone is just ludicrous. I think it really is not able to be compared due to the fact that everyone's tolerance is different. For instance, When I first tried suboxone, I took a 16th of a pill. Was gone all day long and even half of the next day, I mean higher than a roxy/oxy/morphine combined. Now when I take 8mg of suboxone I don't hardly even get any relief, but taking 8mg of suboxone is way too much anyways. I can take a 16th of Subutex on the other hand, and snort it, and feel great the entire day .. 12 hours. And yes despite what L33t says, I definitely recommend subutex ... f*** suboxone, do not snort, I mean you can, but from experience I wouldn't. If you or your friend has never taken subutex but take suboxone, i would start out with a very small amount, like an 8th of a pill or less (break it in half, break that half in half [left with quarters] and break that half in half and you will have an 8th, you can even break that or cut that 8th in half and have 16ths) and use that, give it about 15 20 minutes and you should be good to go. Also from my experience after snorting subutex for a few days then moving back to suboxone, if you are like me, the suboxone will no longer work like it did before. So if you can not readily get subutex or a script then it *could* be risky. Also, ** L33t ** says he does not get any type of buzz/high off his subutex/suboxone, but seemed to feel pretty great to type out that 9 1/2 page response, so I don't believe that for one second either. Get real with yourself.. Yes my response is long, but I'm not going to lie and say that I just didn't snort some subutex before typing this and that I do not feel great. Thank you very much for your time folks, I hope this response helps anyone looking for HONEST advice. Won't be the best advice for someone trying to get clean, but then again someone trying to get clean, shouldn't be taking subutex/suboxone, because that's not being clean.


PS: Again, ***L33t ***, saying that someone could die from opiate withdrawal is a little inaccurate, and the fact that you have the audacity to call others ignorant when you act like you are the most knowledgeable pill popper on the forum (haha) .. You can't die from an opiate withdrawal, you could die from a heart attack that was onset by opiate withdrawals but not from the withdrawal itself. So keep saying you're clean when you're still getting high ... That's as ignorant as it comes.

SUBUTEX IS NOT A BLOCKER IT IS BUPRENORPHINE. SUBOXONE HAS A BLOCKER IN IT. IT IS MADE UP OF TWO ACTIVE INGREDIENTS BUPRENORPHINE AND NALOXONE (NALOXONE IS THE BLOCKER). Subutex does not have the naloxone added, this incgredient will block u from getting high from anything while on it. The point is to give it addicts to keep them from using and also keeps you from withdrawing. Subutex does not have a blocker so u will feel the affects of a medication that gets u high. Also with suboxone where it has the bkocker u with be thrown into hyper withdrawl. They say that its the wotse feeling of withdrwl u will experience. But people whats the point of getting on suboxone and still using when there is a desperate addict out there that is told they have ! A 2 year waiting list ur taking the spot of someone that want nothing more in this world than to b clean. And people are using auboxone as a free high or a middl man in case u can't get the fix of the day and ruining the system fornpeoplle that want a life a ckean life. Conscience people.

Everyone that I know who takes subutex takes them because they can abuse them. And I personally have before too and you do feel high from them. No, it doesn't last as long as dissolving it under your tongue but it does have the same affect.

Just to let everyone know that suboxone can be injected. I haven't done it myself but I know at least 5 people who take it this way and they get high and no sickness. The naloxone only blocks opiates. Does not make you sick when injected, or at least it didn't with any of the people that I know.

Just read the rest of the posts. Man there are a lot of people out there that are uneducated about this subject despite being on the drug. First, you cannot die from opiate or bup withdrawal. You might feel like your going to but you can't. Second, subutex is not stronger than suboxone. 8 milligrams of bup., the active ingredient in both, are of the same intensity and amount. The only diff. Is the naloxone is in suboxone and not in subutex. Third, even though this has jack s***! To do with subs, you would have to be an idiot to think there was some kind of conspiracy on 9/11. So the government or whoever you say decided to shoot a cruise missile at the pentagon the same day it is proven beyond dispute that two planes hit the towers and one went down in Pennsylvania. Yeah that makes sense. Finally, about the naloxone. When you take suboxone sublinguilly, which for the addicts on here means under the tongue, you hardly get any of the naloxone anyway so it doesn't really matter if its bad for you or not. The naloxone is not processed very well this way so most of the drug is of no consequence. The only reason naloxone was added was the same reason the strips came out. They changed the form of the drug so they could hold their patent on it longer to prevent generics for a bit longer to make a bit more cash. The naloxone does not make you sick if you take other opiates afterwards because the other opiates can't be processed properly because of the bup. Blocking your opiate receptors. However if you take the opiates with no bup in your system and then take the bup you can get deathly sick. Naloxone is designed to make you sick in conjunction with your opiate receptors full of a agonist. Bup is a antagonist and binds to the opiate receptors much more than an agonist. If your receptors are filled with bup then the naloxone cannot make you sick because the traditional opiates, which are agonists, cannot bind to the receptors. The only thing will happen is you will waste your time and money. The only exception that i know of is methadone because it is such a.strong agonist that it can compete somewhat with the antagonist bup. To bind to your opiate rectors, also known as dopamine receptors. And this will cause the naloxone, what little makes it to your brain, to make you sick. Just a little info for everyone.

this is bulls***. Ive had prescriptions for both subutex and suboxone and ive shot both many times, recently stopped due to vein issues, but neither will put you in withdrawal when shoot unless you have a full agonist in your system still. buprenorphine has a waaaay higher binding affinity than naloxone. so the naloxone is basically there so the fda has a reason to look competent. everyone i know knows bupe beats of naloxone.

Don't be a goof ball. you do not need to sniff ether one of them. take them the right way and it will work fine. remember everyone's tolerance is different too. you cannot speak for any one else and say one mg works for me and if you have a tolerance 2 mg will be enough. there is no way you can no that. tolerances go A LOTTT higher then that. goofy kids i new would bang a 8mg pill with out a problem or sniff them. bunch of dumbass kids. soo if I was you I would not guess and say what you think is best to SNIFF and how many mg work FOR YOUUU.

The reason people that cant afford insurance, don't have it, is because the republican states that won't expand medicaid... Please read more . watch the news (not fox). There are lots of problems ith this insuance now. You are right..But it will get better when the Rebublicans are voted out....And i am hurting (poor) also. But i know who is responsible...The Repupulican 's in congress. Thje one''s in our states that are most hurt..need to go..if Medicaid as expanded like our President wanted, and the Reps weren't trying to make it impossible for us poor people (They are) And yes if someone can afford insurance they should pay...So other's can have it at a better price..You must know how it works..The lless that sign up the higher the rates....

Wow you're all nubs , you can safely shoot or snort subutex or suboxone. They make subutex with and without naloxin all suboxone has naloxin in it. You can snort and get a quicker stronger high that won't last as long or put it under your tounge and let it dissolve for at LEAST 20 mins before you eat drink talk or smoke for best bio obsorption , if you have never taken it before be careful subutex is a extremely potent opiate 8mg of subutex is equal to 120mg of oxycodone or roxicodone , so start small before you guys start snorting or banging , the pills duration snorted is 4-6 hours under the tounge is 8-12 hours shooting it is a intense 4 hour high similar to heroin , and yes subutex brand name says B8 on it or 54 411 white round pills . Withdrawal simptoms from Long use of subutex WILL be much worse then withdrawing from heroin and will last for about 14 days to a month of withdrawing even when people taper down they feel depressed and moody. Be safe

The best way is to snort em the white ones with the 8 on one side and an arrow on the other side are definitely Buprenorphine (subutex) 8mg. The white pills will make you feel very high if you have little to no tolerance. If so try to just do half and try not to let it drain to much. Do it enough to where it barely drains and lay down for 30 minutes til it dissolves in your nasal cavity. But the arrow ones suck the bigger white ones that have 54 411 on them are way better

When using opiates and want to switch to suboxone,you must wait at least 24 hours after your last opiate use before taking suboxone,otherwise,if taken too soon after your last use,you will be thrown into the most uncomfortable,intolerable withdrawal you have ever experienced.When taken after the 24 hour waiting period,the suboxone will lessen the withdrawal symptoms you are starting to experience.Be forewarned,if taken before the 24 hour waiting period,your in for one of the most uncomfortable experiences you will ever have.Trust me!

If you actually have an injury and use a pain management clinic and are on methadone you would no It does not get you high?? you might feel the numbness feeling in your head for a few days but that goes away for people that actually have a serious injury. how can you blame the DEA or FDA for making it hard to get some sorts of medication when you your self have been flagged because they can see past your lies and attempt to say you actually have any kind of real pain. people like you are the reason that all these bans are put on medications. whining about muscle spasms?? are you KIDDING me?? I have been on a pain pump for 14 years of my life from when I Broke my back my leg shattered and my head broke had 60 staples in my head can never walk again and you are here thinking you are so cool because the doctors had to give you a little more medication to put you under. get a life and stop blaming the DEA for trying to get people like you to stop abusing medication.
