Call Purdue Pharma About New Oxycontin 80mg Op (Page 8) (Top voted first)

This is the number to Purdue when calling select Opt # 2 and explain the adverse reaction that you are having from the new reformulated Oxycontin. The number is 888-726-7535. If the new type is working for you then great. I and several people I spoke with said it gets stuck in your throat even with food. Plus it does not last 12 hour. I understand why they re-made it kids should not take it and as far as how people take it snort, inject or chew its their business. Nobody should tell another ADULT how to live his or her life. Your so right as much as I love my med i had to give up the oxy and go to morphine because they don't last my doc thought I was crazy because i was in constant withdraw very uncomfortable and I don't think they're made right I think some of them lack the same amount of medicines like some of them work some of them don't so I had to switch to morphine which I could take 3 times a day its not supposed to be as strong but I felt like I was actually getting medicine and it wasn't like eating a piece of hard rubber. i think i could dissolve it in water. I think you have to be a chicken and have a gizzard to digest the new ones. morphine still crunches up, you just can't abuse it or whatever. I don't know what you do cuz they're the OP too. please don't but I was in constant withdrawal with the oxy cotton, the new ones. So I had to switch to the morphine. I don't care if anybody believes me, I wasn't med seeking. I wouldn't go from the oxy cotton to a damn morphine if I was med seeking.

The new oxycontin 40mg do SUCK they take way to long to melt or they can come out in your stool like one did with me and they do not help my pain much at all. And I been through 6 failed lower back operations damage nerve scar tissue on nerve 5 deterioration disc upper back 3 severe multiple bone spurs and 2 bulging disc in my neck and the 40mg oxycontin SUCK!!!!!!!

I was prescribed oxycontin 80mg tabs 3x/day for 20yrs and I was able to live my life w/ very, very little pain only upon waking in the morning. My Doc, afraid of losing his licence rather than concern for his patient simply stopped prescribing. Now I cannot even walk my dogs as I never leave my home. After my tolerance grew, nothing helps - I take methadone to keep from being sick. I honestly never abused them & took them exactly as they were prescribed, 3 80mg doses, 3 times a day. I was functioning almost like an average person. Now, I barely leave my bed. Please, any help u can give me is greatly appreciated.

I also have been taking oc oxycontin 40mg for chronic back pain resulting from broken vertibrae due to a car accident causing my extreme pain and paralysis of my lower extremities and nerve damage of the left upper extremity. So, i tried taking the op 40mg and it made me extremely ill to the point of nausea and dry heaving the pills did not even work to manage my pain which made me even more ill. Why must people with severe medical conditions be subjected to pain and suffering due to Purdue Pharmaceutical's decision to change the formula of my prescribed unabused medication give me in effective medication that claims to have the same pain medicine properties yet unfortunately does not and will work for me and many others. The people should not suffer who truly needs the medication in its original

The reason Purdue Pharma changed the formular for Oxycontin is quite clear not only by the respondence on this page but also the increased illegal activity and its drain on police resources over the last 10 years. They knew that if they did nothing it would only be a short time before The FDA took it off the market altogether (a power which they have). The reason most people on this page are complaining is because the people their selling them to don't like them so their not making $50-$60 a pill. Well I for one don't feel sorry for you. I take the new ones like you suppose to and find they work as well if not better than the old ones. Shame on you people!
