I have blue capsules that say adderall xr 30 mg on them but they have only white beads. Is this generic or brand? And how are these different from the orange 30 mg adderall xr with the white and orange beads? ## @Ricky, When you switch between different manufacturers, the only noticeable thing I'm aware of that actually changes are the inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), so that could be one reason why the beads are different colors - different dyes? As to whether or not it's a generic or brand that you have, my research shows that the orange 30mg pill marked with "Adderall XR" is indeed a brand name and not generic. Does anyone know the color of the beads that are instant release in the Shire 30 mg. I am trying to find this out because the long acting beads stay active to long preventing sleep and the Shire Brand is the only decent Adderall. I believe the two colors are white and a orange lookin beige. I recently got an internet prescription fill for Adderall 30mg. It as AD on one side and -30- with a vertical line l splitting the 3 and the 0. The pills are round with beveled edges. All the markings are identical to the 'orange' 30mg that are commonly seen but mine are WHITE. Or they appear white to me. I've read that these AD 30mg pills can occasionally be 'pinkish' from one manufactuer but I don't see the 'pinkish' in mine. Does anyone else have any like these? Hello All, I am not glad that you are having issues, but if am so glad that you post, because I am having the same issue with my 14 year old son. He was taking the blue and white 15 mg Amphetamine salts ER for Narcolepsy with Cataplexy. This is his very first time on the medication, IT WORKED! Well after the first 30 day prescription, good old CVS decided to take it upon themselves and change it to the orange pill, same miller grams, but the name on the bottle is Dextroamp-amphetamine ER. This dose not work at all. My son is constantly falling asleep, and the Cataplexy has complete control over him, causing him to fall at least four to five times a day. Need to know the bead color of the 3061 capsule ## @jake, I'm not sure about "R 3061", but "R 3060" contains WHITE beads and is the 20mg extended release version from the same manufacturer (Actavis)... So odds are that the 30mg 3061 capsule may have the same color beads as the dosage below it. The only differentiating factors I'm aware of are the imprints and the capsule color itself. However I've also heard about Adderall capsules containing peach colored beads as well as combinations of orange and white together. If you have one why don't you open it up and check? A friend of mine went to Walgreens this month and got Mallinckrodt generic 30mg XR's. The imprint is M 8956. They look like that garbage CVS generic with a clear bottom. I have to fill my script tomorrow and I plan on asking what they have before I fill it. I have been taking adderall as an adult for almost a year now. The first 6 months I was on AuroLife's 20mg generic as filled by CVS. Then CVS dropped my insurance carrier, so I changed to WalMart pharmacy. Walmart filled it with the same Aurolife 20mg for one month, then switched me to the pink for a month, then switched me to a white one, then was going to switch me again. After spending several hours at several pharmacies, I have made the following conclusions: 1. Most do not allow you (THE PATIENT), to request a generic of your choosing.
