oxycodone acetaminophen 5 325 shelf life

I have oxycodone acetaminophen 5 325 from Nov.2012. Is it still usably effective? ## Hello, Dorcas! How are you? If it's in a bottle as dispensed by your pharmacy, then it expired and began to degrade one year after it was dispensed to you, due to the fact that those bottles expose them to heat, light and moisture. Thus, it would be best to dispose of it and see your doctor, if you require something for pain. The FDA lists this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## The one year expiration date on pharmacy issued drugs is required by law and has nothing to do with the actual shelf life of a drug. A 3.9 mill... ...

round white G161 oxycodone ## My doctor took me off 30mg oxycodone and put me on 10mg oxycodone got them filled at local pharmacy i think there out dated they are generic so i think they are old because there totally not helping my pain. ## I was on 30mg oxycodone now on 10 mg oxycontin G161 are they outdated shelf life anyone know anything about this generics how long thave they quit making them ## I would guess that it has more to do with the drop in your dosage, rather than how old the pills may be. If you were up on 30mgs and your body has gotten used to taking that dosage and you suddenly dropped down to 10mgs, then it is not going to help your pain anywhere near as much as the 30mgs did. Oxycontin has the same ingredient, it is Oxycodone. The difference is that Oxycontin is a 12 h... ...

I have had several pain intensive surgeries followed by Dr. prescrptions of Vicodin & Percocet on various occasions in the past. Each time I would have surplus meds (with dispose of dates listed on container) leftover after pain subsided. My question is do these meds have a shelf life where they become ineffective or worse, toxic? ## No, these types of medications do not become toxic, but they will start to lose effectiveness past the expiration date. There's no precise time frame to give, because it depends on storage conditions, but the one year date from the pharmacy is the maximum time they can be sure they'll remain fully effective. Learn more Vicodin details here. Learn more Percocet details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for the expiration inf... ...

THESE ARE JUST THE GENERICS MY PHARMACY DISPENSES, AND THEY CAN BE DIFFERENT COLORS FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS. ## I stopped 8mgs of subutex or bupenorphine, 3 days ago. I took it for 6 months. My sub doc gave me two 20mg of oxycontin per day to help with the withdrawal. I have not felt any withdrawal. I need to get the subutex out of my body because it has made me very sick. I know it has a shelf life. Does anyone know how long it will take to get out of me? ## Does oxycontn 80 mg come in round white pill ## The OxyContin 80 is green not white ...

morphine sulfate 1mm rel 15 mg tab ## can you take propox-n/apa after expitation date ## I have some extended release morphine sulphate 60 mg from 2015. Is it ok to take?? I need to go to an event without being in such pain. I usually take 15 mg and 15 mg of oxycodone. ## Under U.S. FDA regulations, tablets and capsules expire one year from when they are dispensed to you by your pharmacy, since that exposed them to the elements that can cause degradation, such as heat, light, and moisture, so under average storage conditions in most homes, that is the longest period of time they can guarantee full efficacy. Liquids, creams, and ointments may have shorter expiration dates, and capsules/tablets that are still sealed in their factory original containers usually have a longer shelf-life of ... ...

How many years does oxycodone tablets last?? ## How many years will oxycodone tablets last and still be good to take? ## Well the latest box I got from the pharmacy (original brand-name, not generic) tells me that my 40mg OxyContin was made in May 2007 and expiry is May 2010, so we can assume three years although pills are normally pretty well OK for a year or so after the printed expiry date in my experience. ## 9 out of 10 meds don't expire ## To add some specifics and explain the reason for the different expiration dates, such as Michael mentioned…. If they are in the original, factory sealed container, so they aren't exposed to the elements that cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture, then they have a 3 year shelf-life. However, once that conta... ...
