Can I take Mylan 3422 for my absessed tooth? ## What has your dentist advised? This contains 100mgs of Nitrofurantoin, which is an antibiotic, but is not usually the first choice for a dental infection. And, if it does help, it would only be temporary, because whatever is causing the tooth to become infection needs to be addressed and corrected, or it will just return.

I have a UTI and my doctor prescribed both mylan 3422 and E122, but I'm not sure how it's supposed to work because I have one of the E122 and nine of the mylan 3422 pills. ## They both contain the same active ingredient, which is 100mgs of Nitrofurantoin. NDC codes: 51079-0348, the one with the Mylan marking is distributed by UDL Laboratories, and the one with the E122 is manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, NDC code: 00185-0122, the original labeler of this one was Eon Labs. Can I take it apart and crush up the inside and mix it with something then give it to her. ## I am currently taking the same prescription, and I break apart the pills inside and take them in much smaller pieces. I have trouble swallowing them as well. They are virtually tasteless and seem to work just fine using them that way.
