I got this generic drug from WalMart last year manufactured by Merck. It was amazing. Then they switched to same generic drug manufactured by TEVA Pharmaceutical (from white oval shaped pills in a bottle to little green pills in cardboard package), and they didn't do a darn thing. It was like not taking anything at ALL. Did Merck stop making the generic version? I am taking Losartan 50 mgs twice a day and I am getting terrible joint & muscle pain. Can it be from the meds? My doctor took me off Lisinopril 10 MG Tab and put me on Losartan 50-12.5MG Tab because my potassium was too high. Looking at the containers each came in, I see that they both have potassium in them. How is it helping to switch me from one to the other except that the Losartan costs more? My old white oval losartan pill with the imprint cl14 did not mention on the bottle that potassium was part of the formula. The new pill is oval and green with the numbers 4 6 on the front & the number 3 on the back side. Taking Metoprolol Tartrate 50 mg twice daily along with Losartan Potassium 25 mg once daily. Pulse rate dropping into low 50's and high 40's. I just got my refill for Losartan with 113 on one and S on the other side, so I'm wondering if this is the right one? My mother is 79yrs old. She has had an Electrolyte problem for the last 2 yrs. Sodium levels are coming down. This is the 3rd year. Even in May of 2010, she began having the same problem. From May 2010 to till Dec 2010 she used Covance 50mg for BP and Wysolone 5mg. She did not have any problem.
