Trying to ID a pill. It is rectangle with point on the ends, yellow, BMS 200 on one side & 33 on the other. What is this called and used for? ## The pill being described is Serzone (200 mg). Serzone is an antidepressant marketed by Bristol-Myers Squibb. I heard Paxil has been removed from the market. True? Anyone know why? Also, are there any side effects or reaction concerns with taking Paxil (Paroxetine) along with Serzone (Nefazodone)? Both show side effects including mood swings and hostility. ## Why was Paxil removed from the market? ## I had just started on it, thought it was working OK, went in for my first eval., and was switched to Lexapro. The nurse said Paxil was no longer being prescribed and was being pulled off the market. No one seemed to know why. Serax and Oxazepan are no longer covered by my Rx program. Is there an Rx that provides similar results ## This is a Benzodiazepine derivative, so yes, there are quite a few other options available. You will need to speak to your doctor though, to figure out which would be the best alternative for you. ## it just came to my attention that serzone is non-available. how can i stop this medication without side-effects...thank you

I took Nefazodone for years and it worked well for me. After hearing it may be pulled from the market, I've tried many other antidepressents, with no success. I'm now back to an old one Trazodone @ 125 mg and even though it's about 3 weeks into it, I seem to be getting worse instead of better. I liked my Nefazodone (Serzone). I still have some from earlier. Would it hurt to take a small dosage of Nefazodone with the Trazodone? I'm feeling so bad, sad, and anxious that I'm wanting relief, soon. ## Generally, it is best not to mix them, unless your doctor specifically decides it is safe, or necessary for you to do so.
