Just to reply to comment about all pills marked with a 44 are over the counter...not necessarily true. Avandaryl (Rosiglitazone and Glimepiride) is marked with GSK 44 ## Pills marked with a 44, followed by additional numbers are over the counter products. For instance, the one mentioned in the subject line, with a 44 235 on it contains 500mgs of Acetaminiphen and 25mgs of Diphenhydramine, this is a generic or store brand of Tylenol PM. I was taking Windamet tablets for diabetese which seems to have been withdrawn by the company.Now the Doctor has advised PIO M 15 tablets in its place. Can someone inform which tablet is better? ## Windamet contains Rosiglitazone and Metformin. The Rosiglitazone has been banned, due to the fact that is can cause sever cardiac problems. So, any medication that contains it has been removed from the market. PIO M 15 contains Metformin and Pioglitazone, which is in the same class of medications, but has not been proven to cause the same dangers. There isn't any one med that can be said to be better for any one person, than any other. You really just have to try it and see how it works for you. Tablets regarding to Dibetics ## There are only certain details available to me about this drug because it is not available in the U.S. From what I have found, Triglucored Forte contains the active ingredients Glibenclamide (Glyburide) + Metformin HCl + Rosiglitazone Maleate, used in treating Type 2 Diabetes - this combination of active ingredients is also not available in the US under any brands either. Oral Diabetic Medication ## Needs information ## My husband takes Avandia for his diabetes. As far as I can find out Avandament is not as affective as Avandia is. Read this from the FDA web site. Always trying to give us cheaper drugs when the compr omise our health.
