I'm sorry about the infection. However, this product is no longer available. It would be best to see your doctor for a diagnosis and proper antibiotic prescription, if necessary. The FDA lists the side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. I have been on Prexum plus 5mg for 21 days and whilst the swelling in my ankles has improved dramatically, I have terrible backaches. I have been on Prexum 4mg for a month and my bloodpressure only came down to 140/95. I had lower back aches most days and stopped running and cycling. There wasn't much improvement with the back ache. Then I went onto Prexum plus 2 weeks ago as the Dr wanted BP to be lower. I now have severe back ache and lower back spasms that even walking seems to make it worse. I have been to the chiropractor as well as the physio with no improvement. Could this be a side effect of the medication? ## Yes, some blood pressure and cardiac medications can cause that as a side effect, as reported by the NIH. Since I have been taking this drug I have had a horrible backache. I suffer from abdominal pain and lower backache since I started taking Tecta. Could the Tecta be causing these symptoms? ## From what I've found, Tecta contains the active ingredientantoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that's used to help reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach and yes, it can cause these types of side effects in some people. I have not had any of my clients or family members encounter any side effects. You should use it if you do not have a compromised system or a kidney disease (such us end stage renal), but always consult your doctor first.
